I went in to purchase gift cards, and asked if I could please get a gift receipt for each card. I asked the cashier if it would be easier to buy them separately since I was getting 5! She said "no that won't be necessary" so she rang up all 5 and I paid and she handed me the receipt Not even a gift receipt, so I asked for the gift receipts, she said "no I can't do that". I asked for a manager, and of course the attitude started, manager shows up "no we can't do that". Asked for a refund, "no we can't do that" Then why did she tell me I could get a gift receipt for each gift card purchased? "No she didn't say that!" I was just blown away by the incompetence of the manager & cashier. Customer service is not something this store values. I have been to many dollar trees, unfortunately this is the worst! I'd rather drive a little further and not have to deal with them anymore.

I asked for help by an employee and she redirected me to someone who could help me better. The second person asked to see the listing, looked for a number at the bottom of the description, and went searching for it in the back. I was asked to follow and wait. The item was found and with excitement I asked to look and observe it. With the man that searched for it as my spectator, I was able to open the box and look at it. Both associates were very nice and helped me with any questions I had. I'm happy to have discovered this place with AMAZING DEALS. Although it's almost an hour away it's definitely worth the drive for those prices!

As I browsed the store looking for candles, it also felt as though both she and a younger employee were watching or following me, which made the experience uncomfortable. I've had this same experience with the older employee every time I come into this store. I would add her name, no name tags either! What stood out even more was that when a customer walked in shortly after, the same employee immediately greeted her and asked if she was doing alright.

I'm accustomed to the no return policy, the self checkout and less than enthusiastic employees, so none of those are deterrents. The having to look at a price sheet to convert the currency is new, but not a big deal. The store is always "hit or miss", meaning one time I come home with huge bags of stuff and another visit I find nothing. The categories they tend to do well IMO are household goods (think kitchen/bathroom/storage/hardware related), the Japanese snacks and holiday merchandise. Just don't buy batteries there, trust me on this.

I love the convenience of the AMC for movies, Gloria's, Wildwood and other food establishments, department stores for any occasion, and some small coffee shops. What I'd love to see more of, though, is a bit more kid-friendly options for those with little ones. We do enjoy the small green lawn near the fountain! But maybe some restaurants that have a centralized courtyard where kids can roam free. There's also some room for improvement to add less chainy spots and more local mom and pops to support.

There was no better place than this for whatever it was I was trying to find. Made a stop at Dillards: found stuff there. And I should have been done already, but also went to Macy's and found even more stuff there. The choices seemed endless, but with a tight schedule, I was really limited to where I can go and what to do. But at least I found what I needed. One can kill time just by being here. It could take a whole day and some to get to see everything. Kinda jealous we don't have something like this closer to home! Good to know the convenience is here should I find the need once more.
