Before you balk at it, give me a moment to sway your opinion, or at least open your mind to the possibilities. As I said in a tip, once you move beyond the exterior/interior extreme simplicity, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you can save here. I'll base my review on 4 factors: Atmosphere, Merchandise, Service, and Benefit. Atmosphere: crudely simplistic, depending on location, cramped with merchandise and well....stuff or to be honest, a tad bit of junk. Merchandise: DG(henceforth Dollar General is DG) has a wide variety of home, cleaning and beauty supplies. They also carry canned good, frozen, and some refrigerated items. They have a large selection of snacks as well. Anything that you might need from batteries to baby food, you'll find it stocked in their shelves. I prefer to keep my purchases to cleaning supplies as I find they offer the lowest competitive prices. Service: don't expect to be wowed with charisma. Everyone here stocks, works register, tends to customer needs and requests. Employees are focused on that and not necessarily your pleasant experience in the store, I've never experienced any rudeness, just quick service to get me in and out. Benefit: this is the coup de gras and what keeps me returning to DG. The savings, the digital coupons, and the opportunity to save more. If I've not mentioned before I coupon extensively, not enough to be on a show, but enough that retail Tide/Caress/Dawn/Febreeze prices never see my budget. I like to keep a clean home, fresh laundry, great carpet and clean dishes, who the heck doesn't. DG allows me the opportunity to maximize my savings with their in store coupons, manufacture coupons, and lower retail price. I've not paid a full retail price for the aforementioned items in 8 years. This mega savings on necessary household items allows me the opportunity to splurge on other areas or simple out that money back and save. I appreciate DG immensely for this. Sorry for the long dissertation waxing poetic about the wonderment of DG, I just want you all to know its worth a shot.

This store is a smaller one but the shelves were stocked service was friendly and the freezers were full. I'm glad it's close to my house and wasn't cruddy inside like others I've been to. Not only do they carry brand names for $1 but the off brand names have proven to be more worthy as well. And all for just $1!!! It's easy to fill your cart up. Checking out was quick tonight and the few people working were happy and all smiles. Can't wait to come here again!!

I'm super poor and she is not and maybe it's from shopping at a Big Lots. Just speculating. This store is very clean. Each time I go in employees keep being pleasant and kind even if I'm not wearing a bra or happen to be in pajama pants. I've noticed Big Lots prices are lower than local alternatives, and frankly, lack of clothing judgement keeps me returning. They treat my pajama wearing ass the same as a senior buying $80 worth of DVDs and that means something to me. I doubt I'll buy $80 worth of DVDS from this location, but I appreciate that I can.

I truly enjoy taking a break from my work, and walking over to grab a Diet Dr Peoper or Diet Coke. Sure, sometimes they don't have the beef jerky, or the gum I'm looking for, but the service and smiles are totally worth the walk over. Keep your head up DG.
