I went there 2 times and both times when I walked in, the lady just looked at me and turned her head. I asked if she could help me grab something on the top shelf and she sighed, grabbed it for me and then when I asked a simple "wow, this is different! have you tried this?" She said in a very irritating manner "i dont know anything about that. I just sell it so just leave it there if you dont want it." All while walking away from me, no eye contact. I then stood in line waiting and waiting to be checked out while she was having side conversations with someone she knew. Conversations about grandchildren even though shes only in her 60's and how she wants one, how she doesnt want to wait till shes "10ft under" (thought the saying was 6ft under but anyways), talking about a restaurant near by, etc etc ALL WHILE SHE KNEW I WAS WAITING TO BE RUNG UP. As soon as I was about to put my stuff down and walk out, she goes "you need something?" I told her "yeah I'm waiting for you to ring me out." And she took my stuff, rang it, took my money AND THEN CONTINUED HER CONVO WHILE HOLDING ONTO MY MONEY!! She didnt put it in the register, she didnt get my change, she just held onto it and carried on with her conversation. I then wanted to take the money back and leave, thats when she opened the register, got my change and as I held my hand out for her to hand me my change, she just laid it on the counter for me to pick the change up. She didn't put my things in a bag, she didn't say thank you nor did she say goodbye. She just put my change on the counter and continued her conversation with the other person. I don't ever really see cars parked on their side of the parking lot and My mother and I were the only customers. No wonder why! I have a business of my own, my whole family does. That is not how you run a business. I felt SO disrespected while shopping there. I was not rude, I was smiley when I walked in and I always try to speak politely and professionally. If that lady isnt the owner then that place needs a new employee or new staff members. Someone who can utilize the down time to tidy up the place and can offer decent customer service. Completely unacceptable. I would give it 0 stars if I could, shame to this business.

I paid 3k thinking this will probably be the last time I will need to purchase a mattress. I went to the store in Agawam MA. I wasn't sure which would be the best choice but I ultimately chose a firm. The showroom display seemed firm but did have a bit of spring to it so it seemed like it would be comfortable. They made the mattress and delivered it as well as took the old mattress away. That first night I had put on the mattress protector that I purchased from them which they said would be required to keep under their warranty. I was worried because this mattress was literally ROCK hard with no give at all. I slept on it that first night and woke up in the worst pain I've ever had sleeping! Neck, back and shoulders in so much pain! I immediately went back and told them and asked to exchange it for a softer mattress. I spoke to a man there that was the store manager I believe but not sure to be fair. He asked if I had slept on the mattress and I said for one night with their mattress protector on. He then told me they would not take it back or exchange it because I said I had slept on it once that first night! He said he can't sell it now because of that. Im not sure how someone can tell if they are even remotely satisfied with a purchase from them if I didn't at least try it though I could tell it was beyond firm once they installed it. I was told the only thing they could do for me was add a bit more gel cushion to the existing mattress but that the main build and firmness could not be changed and refused a refund or exchange for a softer mattress. I was left with no real choice on a 3k mattress i had just purchased so I said let's at least try that. To which I was charged an additional amount over $200 more. It basically remained an extremely firm mattress that I had paid even more for at this point. There are MANY mattress companies that have satisfaction guarantees but this company does not! I have had pain now for much of my mornings and had a spare bedroom with a cheap but new mattress that I bought from Amazon for UNDER $200 because it really wouldnt be slept on. Well guess what. I gave up waking in so much pain that I am now sleeping in my spare room on my $200 mattress and have not once woke up in pain. I am going Mattress shopping tomorrow (elsewhere) so i can start sleeping in my bedroom again where I will likely drop another 1.5 to 2k for a mattress i can sleep on and a satisfaction guarantee. I have been so upset by this experience and the money I wasted with this company that it has been hard to let it go in my mind. I have steered a good friend in the market for a mattress to anywhere besides Yankee mattress and everyone I know in life has pretty much heard my story at this point. Before I make my new purchase and watch them haul away a brand new expensive mattress I felt that I might feel a bit better sharing my experience so others dont make a mistake with their own expensive purchase. Having shared I can now say that I dont feel better, just cheated. Life is about learning lessons along the way. I guess I can chalk it up to a lesson learned. But it doesnt feel any better and finding a mattress I can sleep on just cost me a lot more money than one should have to pay. If you want a company that cares about customer satisfaction I would avoid Yankee Mattress
