One of the two stalls in the women's was out of toilet paper and none of the employees seemed to care. According to my husband, the men's room floor was covered with urine. He says if they're just going to leave the urine on the floor they'd be better off putting in a grate so you don't have to walk in it. On the plus side, they do give you a a free cup of ice with any purchase so there's that.

Also, the restroom wasn't very clean. The cashier was nice, though. She was definitely closed and ready to go, but she saw we only had a few items and took us anyway. They did have a few clearance racks, but some items were labeled, and some weren't, so you had to check at the register for the price. It wasn't necessarily that it was a misplaced item. But just that some weren't labeled. I'm glad we were just passing through. I'd be bummed to have this as my local Walmart.

I was browsing the books and suddenly the fluffiest floof of a cat came wandering up. She was very friendly and sweet. Later we talked to an employee who said the cat is named Serena and is one of 40+ feral cats that they take care of. They got them all fixed and continue feeding them behind the store. If you donate $5+ towards feeding the kitties, you get a 20% off coupon! As for the shopping itself, I was impressed by the prices. I got a fabulous vintage suitcase for $5, and several books for under $5! Literally my only complaint was that they wrote the price of a vintage antique book ON THE COVER of said book. OOF. When I checked out, someone else pointed out that denim was excluded. 99% of the shorts in my size we're denim. It's called a flea market but I wouldn't necessarily consider it one. It's indoors and appears to be more of a antique co-op with little booths belonging to different vendors, many were vacant. Each one sold something different. Some focused on real antiques, others (and the majority) just crap. One booth was selling brand new Nikes, to be determined if they were the real deal, and new in package hair accessories catering to black hair. Larger but dated furniture pieces were also for sale. The outside definitely lacked curb appeal. There was even an upholstered sofa out on the side exposed to the elements for God knows what reason. The parking lot was gravel. The building itself was probably a grocery store in its previous life but now was just a store in need of maintenance. While we were in and out of there in 5 minutes we were warmly greeted by the lone employee. My first instinct was to give a 1 star review but now that we know the area feel it's in line with everything else, which is a more rustic and rundown than we're used to up north. I also think this area in general is plagued by poverty so the inventory of used goods would reflect that. However the warm greeting and southern hospitality was present every where we went, here included, hence the 2 stars. My recommendation: if you're from this area by all means check them out. If you're not, and are familiar with antique and flea markets and know what to expect it's best to pass.
