And as I walked into the ladies room an older gentleman was standing watching the bathrooms and he stated that they were closing in five minutes. You could hear him in the men's bathroom angrily cleaning the bathroom. I was in using the facilities and when it hit the five minute mark. He knocked loudly on the women's bathroom and entered the doorways yelling that they were closed and I needed to leave. I finished and walked out and the older staff member sarcastically said thank you. I bought something from the cashier. The younger cashier was very nice. He was very apologetic. We talked to him and he gave us insight that only comes from experience, he was an incredible help when picking out trails. He told us about frozen lake, and even showed us the route on a map, which not many people know about or go to, and it ended up being one of our best hikes. One great item in the store is their 1$ trail patches. For every big lake, waterfall, or peak you climb, you can get a patch to remember it. They make great inexpensive souvenirs for hikers. They also have a wall of last minute hiking essentials like first aid and survival tools. All together an amazing place, would give it more stars if I could.

The store has the feeling of a well-stocked local liquor store. Prices for beer were as expected, liquor seemed a little higher than I'm used to in Texas, also not unexpected in a small mountain town. The owner was quite friendly and helpful. I visited during COVID-19 so I never saw his face. But, he had smiley eyes and assisted me in finding several items I needed. Our group was curious about local craft beers and found a decent selection from the four local breweries and from Avery Brewing in Boulder, of which we are also fans. The store is conveniently located on the west end of town, not far from where we were staying. Had a great experience!

The clerk, Julian, was nice enough, but it was phony nice. He was condescending, he kept calling me MAM.. Mam, is ok, but MAM is not. Women will understand this. I would ask him questions and his response was , MAM, everything is on the bag... the problem was this, there is a lot of Jerky in that shop, A lot. I tried to explain to Julian what I was looking for and I did not want to hunt through 1000's of bags to find it. The straw for me was when he shook his head at me like I was a toddler and smiled a condescending half smile and said, Again, MAM, that information is on the bag....
