This is the souvenir shop to be at when in Estes Park. Prices were surprisingly cheap with good quality products. Overheard a lot of customers talking about how reasonable the prices were. We ended up purchasing Tees ($10), Long Sleeved Shirts ($10) and Sweats ($15) with nice designs. You could tell the place was popular when it was already jam-packed 20 minutes after it's 10AM opening time. read more

Just the thing, it is in fact a souvenir shop that also sells some equipment and clothing (functional and practical). Their inventory is a mid range selection of items, not the cheap plastic tchotchke items that are so common. They do carry Estes Park trail tags for collectors, or enthusiasts of specific trails. Probably the best feature, beyond the friendly service, is the website which seems to carry most everything in the store. If your trip to Colorado is coming to a close, but you need a unique souvenir, Brownfield's is a great spot to check out for just the right thing. Located on the main drag in Estes Park, Brownfield's has a variety of items that run the gamut from souvenir shirts to magnets to fun trinkets that look unlike anything else you will find while in Colorado. I went in looking for a small souvenir for a hard-to-shop-for person and after perusing a number of items, I left with a posable LED light. It looks like a praying mantis but the legs can be wrapped around and secured anywhere (like a twist-tie) to provide a little extra light wherever you may need it. Perfect for the gadget-oriented guy I was shopping for! It's worth stopping in while you're in town. Whatever it is you're looking for, I hope that you find it at Brownfield's! read more

We strolled in here with the intention of buying some outdoor stuff for our roommate thinking that was something they only specialize in, but then I saw super cute clothes and ended up only buying stuff for myself, HAH. They have tons of extremely cute souvenirs and the price is surprisingly great for the quality they've got. I'm so used to seeing a price tag that's double (sometimes triple) with the shirts they have, and if it wasn't for the time constraint, I probably would have gone back several more times to see if anything else peaked my interest. We just happened to be in Estes on Brownfield's opening day and got an even bigger discount than what they already give you! They even provided customers with a free gift after purchase. Go where the locals do and shop at this store! We were so impressed with the staff, the merchandise, and loved seeing faith-based products, as well! By far the best store in Estes. We visited most of the shops in the area and this one was clean, well organized, and had attentive staff. The merchandise was not cheap souvenir quality, but was very high quality that was well priced. Don't go to any other souvenir or t-shirt shop in Estes Park, or at least go here first. Hands down, they have the best prices, selection, and quality of any other store in Estes. There are designs that Brownfield's has that no other store has, and the store is laid out and set up perfectly. This was the first souvenir shop that I passed in Estes Park so I walked right in to check out the selection. I was impressed how many different items they had and for a great price. A truly great price! I was able to buy t-shirts for my entire family of 5 and a mug for myself all under $65! I collect mugs whenever I travel and I can count on spending around $11-$14 for a nice mug. Here the mug was $6 and when I traveled up the street the same exact mug was $11. Brownfields had tons of long sleeve and short sleeve shirts, some sweatshirts to choose from too. The shirts were on sale, $10-$12 each! This was a great deal and there were so may different colors to choose from. I haven't washed or worn the shirts yet so I can't speak about the quality but for $10 I had to grab them. They had tons of items here for your hike too. I highly recommend this shop! read more

Great prices on winter items. They close for the winter starting Nov 10th so even though they were low on their stock they still had several great items left. I got both of these jackets for $25 each and the gloves for $10. I was thrilled with my purchases. I actually had to put a couple of items back because I didn't really need them. read more

I can't say enough good things about Brownfield's in Estes Park. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of clothing and other souvenirs to help remember your stay, but their team is extremely helpful and friendly. One of the gentlemen even helped me make a decision on one of my hikes in RMNP - Mills Lake - which ended up being my favorite (and most challenging) hike during our stay. Brownfields is hands down the best retail store in Estes Park Colorado. Their selection, designs, options and prices simply cannot be beat. What attracted us initially was their great window displays so many years ago and what keeps us coming back year after year is the people and value for what we purchase. I have no idea how they can remember and develop friendships recommend trails and restaurants and events in the Estes area but they do! I absolutely love this place. It has affordable prices and a huge selection in store. For anyone looking to get Colorado souvenirs, this is place. Go here first! There is always a sale rack and the people working there are extremely friendly and helpful. The postcards (5 for $1) was one of my favorite parts of the shop. Followed closely by the large selection of $2 waterproof (I'm assuming vinyl) stickers. We were traveling through Estes park and really wanted to get a sweatshirt at Brownfield's after seeing all their adorable clothing at INCREDIBLE prices but we we got there at closing time . The owner was standing at the door and welcomed us in and then my daughter decided she wanted something too and he was so kind to let us in a second time . Such a great store. History

Established in 1956.

Brownfield's is Estes Park, Colorado's favorite store! Known for having something for everyone at prices that can't be beat, Brownfield's has been serving the people of Estes Park since 1956. The original store was oriented toward saddles and other horse goods and included western wear and cowboy boots. It was located in the Bartlett building on Moraine Avenue. In 1961, the building at 350 East Elkhorn Avenue was purchased and the store moved in for the 1962 summer season. The concept and name have been changed from Brownfield's Leather Shop, to Brownfield's Trading Post, and now to Brownfield's - Souvenirs & Outdoor Gear. Merchandise is now geared toward the current trend of hiking and other outdoor activities. Hiking shoes and outerwear make up a large share of the store's goods, along with t-shirts, sweatshirts, and souvenir items of the area. Brownfield's has the largest selection of souvenir items with highest quality and best prices.

I loved browsing the store! I'm always drawn to the magnets selection. They sell "Oxygen To Go!" canisters in case you need some at this higher altitude or if you ascend to greater heights in Rocky Mountain National Park! Says it's good for recovery - even for hangovers! There is an entire section near the restrooms that is full of black bear figurines and other decorations. So cute! If you're hungry, there is a restaurant here as well. We didn't eat there, so I don't know the quality or what's offered. We ended up exiting the Rocky Mountain National Park at the Fall River Station when we saw this and decided to stop in at the end of the day. We initially went to the Visitor Center before walking over here. After scouring most of the items here, I did take home a few little things to remember my time in the RMNP. The lady who rung us up was friendly and even offered me a free small paper bag for my magnets. Other places were charging for them. It can be a keepsake as well since it is printed with the store's name. This is a good place to shop, kill some time, and chill.

I stumbled upon JP Total Farmer Market using my trusty Yelp App. They were open until 7:00 and I figured we could get some local peaches and maybe a pie. So we parked the RV in the lot and Dave said let's take Freckles with us. So we entered this eclectic Farmer's Market where there were four inviting rocking chairs at the entrance. Dave went ahead and the owner went crazy over Freckles. They were like if you didn't bring her in we would be sad because we love dogs! It's like Freckles knew it too-she was so well behaved and she got some nice dog biscuits from the lady and ate them immediately! Dave bought a beautiful cherry pie that is homemade and ready to bake. I got a few humongous peaches that were so perfect and grown in Colorado. We talked and they had vacationed regularly on Ft. Meyers Beach until Ian did a number on it! It was so nice to meet these ladies who made us feel so comfortable! If I were a little younger I might consider moving to this inviting city!
