Are we in heaven?!…read more I'm from out of town and I've been wanting to pop into Lundeen's for a while now with the expectation that it was just a cute little small town stationery shop. No big deal. It looks tiny on the outside, but the further in you go, the more this shop unfolds into a huge emporium of scintillating goodies. When I walked in, there were books. Books?! Gorgeous childrens' books, (millennial) classics I haven't seen for sale in ages (I Spy, The Rainbow Fish, Where's Waldo), there were beautiful cookbooks, chic plant books, educational books, bird books, frog books, books wrapped up in gift paper ready to be someone's surprise read (Blind Date with a Book!), and two little childrens' reading nooks up a couple of stairs at the front of the store! After the books there were games, toys, puzzles, candy, gifts. And then I realized, this place is HUGE. In the back of the store there's a full on Office Depot situation but only the good stuff, plus a print shop. Ink, paper, cardstock, accounting pads, payroll sheets, carbon paper, large poster boards, folders, pens, highlighters, calculators, clips, tacks, and knick knacks. Prismacolor pencils! The good erasers. The good pencil sharpeners. Graph paper. Transfer paper. Sketch pads. Velum! Fine point markers. Like, high end art store stuff. And then. And THEN. I looked to the side of the store and there ANOTHER opening to a jewelry store! And once you go in there, you see an entirely other part of this store that is just as big as the place you just walked out of. Oh yeah, the stationery! They've got beautiful art on single pieces or card sets, but they've got purses, wallets, decor, kitchen stuff, seasonal towels, aprons, plates, mugs, souvenirs, lip gloss, candles, hot pepper jelly, a whole aisle of Burt's Bees, more kid stuff; they even have a little room dedicated to the clearance section. I don't know a lot about this shop, but I can only assume some of this is locally made and a bunch of vendors have their stuff there? Anyway, budget a couple hours and go peruse this place. The shopping here rivals boutiques in the big city, but with all the charm of Fergus Falls.

Great staff, variety of merchandise, excellent selection of local subject books and local authors…read moreand artist work. Their printing department is my go-to for anything of that nature and are always top quality, fast, and helpful. Shout-outs to Kevin & Paul :)

The Homecrest Holly Hill high back swivel rocker chairs I recently purchased are "garbage" compared…read moreto the same ones I purchased 18years ago. They have change the swivel mechanism, no longer ball bearing, they manufacture sling and thick cushion only for seat covering. No lightly padded option available like my 18 yr old set. My original chairs never squeaked when you swiveled until they were about 16 yrs old. Yet these "brand new" ones squeak and groan non stop whether you are rocking or swiveling. Try to swivel the chair with your hands to move seat in another direction, NO, the swivel wont budge unless u are sitting in chair. 3 times the price and 1/3 the quality. DO NOT BUY!!!!

I have a pair of 1970 Homecrest swivel rockers that need new vinyl straps. When I searched online…read morefor a strap replacement tutorial I didn't find anything showing my specific chair frame style. As I was searching, I found the company was still in business and decided to reach out to them via their Facebook page. Within one hour I had a reply from them as well as a PDF instruction sheet showing how to replace the straps. They invited me to contact them back with any other questions and expressed interest in seeing the the completed chairs. This kind of friendly, helpful customer service is a rarity these days. Almost as rare as finding a product made in the USA. It is amazing that the chairs are still around after 50 years and just need a facelift. Quality and great customer service since 1953. Thank you Homecrest!
