Great location in this plaza near Walmart and the mall as well as several restaurants. No problem parking here with a good size lot and not too much crowding. If you haven't made your way to Price Rite, you are missing out on some serious savings and an…read moreinteresting combination of grocery finds! Be aware Price Rite is NOT for the brand conscious, however you WILL find all the stables with a major focus on fresh fruit and vegetables and at considerably reduced price compared to Weis. No bells, no whistles this store will meet your needs and in some ways exceed on some items. For example: If you are looking for cannoli shells, and the cheese to fill them Price Rite is your store. If you like Hispanic foods/cuts of meat you can find them here as well. No fresh fish....all is frozen and in individual servings. Over all....I save a considerable amount of money making this store my Big Shop store on average I spend 150.00 for a household of three and with the exception of bread and milk can feed the household on what I purchase for a month. I still need to hit Walmart for pet supplies and storage bags because Price Rite has a limited offering. Down side, be prepared to bag your own groceries and the bagging area can get congested but it does clear up quickly. While you can purchase bags from the store .10 each, nice quality, I bought nice cloth bags from TSC and Ace hardware at 1.99 each and they work wonderfully. Check it out...I think you will be surprised! Edit 9/9/12....I found Chines 5 Spice! It's on an end cap with the Badia spices. For thos of you who don't know expect a ginger/cinnamon flavor sweet in nature. I bet it would be good in cookies....oatmeal raisin, I think. Edit 9/17/12....They have a "roll away", stand with seafood now. Maybe they read my post. hehehehehe The little gal who was manning it was friendly and talkative to the customers she was serving. They are expanding! Sometime in October they should have the finishing touches done including shelving and merchandise. Already I can see their produce section is expanding (see pictures). I have a complaint :/.....for the most part the produce is the freshest with the best prices of any of the local Weis/Walmart stores in York. Giant is EXCELLENT with the biggest $$ so I'll leave them out of the equation. *BUT*....I have seen the quality slack since this renovation has started. Today I noticed the cucumbers were withered and dented....I could go to Weis/Walmart for THAT. Please Price Rite....don't lose touch with quality during this critical time and don't make me sorry for giving you a good review, *****There was a disturbing review left by someone who is clearly intimidated by other cultures....to HIM, grow up Mr Jackwagon! I have been shopping there for 2 years without incident.******

Price Rite has some pros and cons about it. Some of the pros are the low prices on select items…read moresuch as Nathan's Famous Franks or some of their frozen items. Some of the cons are they seem to feel no responsibility to price items correctly so you wind up with scan errors, no prices for items or items in the wrong location. I would not give them a one star except that the price issues are an everyday thing and when you discuss it with management, they don't see that it is a problem. In fact, they do not believe it is an issue that needs fixed (based on my last trip there at approx. 7PM on September 29, 2014). If you don't mind the headaches of not knowing what you will be paying for your merchandise, shop here. If you want to shop at a store where the people care, shop elsewhere (my experience).

I do wish they would offer MORE in groceries and far less other junk in the store. Their brand of products is outstanding -- for most products. The milk I buy (1%) ALWAYS HAS DENTED JUGS -- but, other than that, I do not hesitate to recommend them to others. Their chicken is of better quality than in most other stores. I do not buy a lot of meat, but ALWAYS do buy chicken in this store. One time cereal boxes were open -- all of one kind were open, bags inside were still fully sealed -- maybe it was a machine flaw on the sealing line -- I bought it and it was fine. Oil pump motor runs quite and cool, even after 2 hours of continuous use. 3. Unit is heavy; about 67 lbs. 4. Manual is incorrect about the amount of hydraulic oil required in the pump reservoir. Manual says about 3.5 oz, required. In order to fill the pump reservoir to the level mark in the site glass, about 7 oz. is hydraulic is required. The pump runs quieter and cooler with 7 oz. of fluid. 5. The seller was unable to properly identify a vendor that can service/repair the unit. 6. The Restaurant Store sold the unit at a good price. Customer service people are friendly and helpful, except for the technical specs regarding the amount of hydraulic oil the unit requires. They can only go by the manual. I am an engineer and expect the manual and specs to be accurate.

Service - excellent Location- excellent…read moreInventory - excellent Membership - terrible I work in foodservice as a cook. The places I work at buy from the restaurant store and are members. When you go there you can't put it on an account you have to pay. Now, you need to have a yearly membership card Instead of telling them where you work to receive the discount. The more that is bought the better the reward program, so most companies want you spending money because it helps them, the employee gets a perk, doesn't harm anyone ( you're paying). Today bill was $75. If I was a member it would have been $50. That's a big difference. When you go there the pricing advertised in 150 font is the member price and the 16 font price is nonmember. I looked over what I was purchasing and put back a majority of it because I know that Amazon has it. This is a losing situation for the company I work for, and for themselves. I want to support local business, please don't have policy that prevent that. I always loved coming there, but can't afford nonmember pricing or yearly member dues, when I can get from Amazon.
