This place have everything you need to open your own restaurant (though I wouldn't recommend it in this area), have a family reunion, a party, a wedding....etc you name it. If it has anything to do with serving any type of food or drink to the masses then this is your go to place (sorry, they don't serve alcohol). The store is open to the public, but be prepared to trip over boxes and flat beds being used by store owners buying things in bulk. Depending on what you are looking for this place could double as a Costco/Wal-Mart type place. They do have single items (see photos) but you can also get a supersized can of vegetables, nacho cheese, ketchup...etc . They have a extensive seasoning collection which is much cheaper than what you will pay at Target or Giant. The majority of the items in the store are not edible and are for serving customers ( ie pizza boxes) and/or maintaining a store/restaurant. As for prices I guess they are ok at best, it's not dirt cheap that's for sure. I needed syrup for my homemade lattes and they have approx.. 60 different flavors. I bought a 24 oz of syrup for about 6.50 and I've seen it everywhere else for $8 so there's a little savings there. I will be back for a pizza wire pan next week! Note: they close at 5 on Saturdays.

I stopped here to pick up some glassware for a friend/coworker who is having a beer tasting. He gave me the 'part' number and I arrived about 15 minutes after work. The glassware was right inside the door on display and they have a kiosk with access to their web page so you can order items that are not in stock. I was very glad they have public bathrooms because it is kind of a warehouse showroom kind of place. I checked out the glassware display and they had at least 100 different wine, beer and cocktail glasses. They had swingtop clear bottes and novelty glassware too. I had to look at the end of an aisle were more glassware was and move a big cardboard box to see the small 5.5 oz brandy snifter boxes he wanted, but I got them and checked out right before they closed which was good timing.

This Costco stands out for a few reasons. First, the entire town used to joke about a Costco…read moreopening every time a store closed or bulldozers cleared a plot of land. The desire was obvious - it's so much nicer to have one in town than having to drive some 19 miles to the next town's Costco! Second, this is the only Costco I've been to that isn't overrun with crazy shoppers. I can actually shop stress-free! I don't have to be cutthroat just to find a parking space. And the gas station? I've never had to wait in line. It's massive-- have you seen a gas station that has 24 pumps across 8 lanes! It's been over six months since the grand opening on October 30, 2025. While the number of shoppers has grown a bit, it's still in the "sweet spot"--busy enough for the store to stay profitable, but quiet enough to keep the shopping experience pleasant.

The store seems so disorganized. The checkouts were very busy today and it was madness with people going every which way. We appreciated the air pumps for car tires by the gas station.

Ive have been shopping at CDM for 10 years and recently visited this past week. While i was…read moreshopping a man was vacuuming around me in every isle I was in with my cart. He actually was getting annoyed with me by making loud sighs that were quite obvious that i was not welcomed. I tried to avoid him but he would show up regardless. I finally said something to a employee and was told they were getting ready for a big event. I said its still rude and went on shopping. 20 minutes later up came this man to me and said I'm Fred the owner (OMG IT WAS THE MAN WITH THE VACUUM) his hair was on fire and started to literally tell me off by saying he was not about to apologize to me for vacuuming and that this is a wholesale warehouse and he was the owner and sharply repeated , do you understand, do you understand the difference between wholesale and retail over and over. my mouth just hung open as I knew he was not right and would throw me out in a split second, so I said nothing, he finally said to me okay then okay looking for me to argue. I said okay and he left, I brought my second cart up to counter and said to the employee , please tell Fred he just lost a customer and left. I have never been attacked like this by anyone let alone a business owner, I left in tears and feel bad for Mr. Fred as he was obviously under a lot of pressure that day. I have a wholesale / retail store. I have never wrote a review, especially a negative one as I would not want someone to write one on my store. This warrants one!! Its nice to be important but its more important to be nice!!!!

Although I was initially disappointed with BJ's, I have come to love the store for its quality…read moreproducts and excellent sales! When BJ's first opened, I was disappointed in its size. BJ's is not as large as your regular Sam's Club or Costco, so it was a bit of a letdown. However, the quality and price of their merchandise more than makes up for it. For example, they have a large variety of quality frozen appetizers, frozen and fresh deserts, and quality cheeses. The frozen appetizer selection is especially useful for holiday get-togethers, and Sam's Club doesn't even get close to the variety in appetizers. Like Sam's Club, they also have the signature cheesecake and cookies. Try the chocolate chip cookies, they're the best! As for actual departments, other than a pharmacy, BJ's has every department that Sam's Club does: office, electronics, seasonal, cleaning, kitchen ware, books and DVD's, clothing, grocery, health & beauty, deli, rotisserie, bakery, tire, and many other small services. BJ's also has gas pumps. With a BJ's membership, you get gas at their pumps for a much lower price than local stations (it's usually 10 cents cheaper at BJ's). If you drive long distances, the gas savings may justify the cost of a membership on its own. BJ's, unlike the other membership clubs, allows you to use manufacturer coupons. BJ's also sends out their own store coupons in a little booklet sent monthly in the mail. Some coupons are better than others, but they're really worth looking through and using. It's also fun to look for the items that BJ's simply has marked down on sale. A lot of the marked down merchandise can be found on the end caps, so make sure to look out for those good deals! After each holiday, they also mark down holiday merchandise (Halloween candy, Christmas cookies, etc.) to ridiculously low prices (they had chocolate truffles $2 a box last year after Christmas). BJ's offers everything that Sam's Club and Costco do in a slightly smaller package. It's an excellent addition to the Chambersburg area, and I highly recommend joining if for nothing but the gas savings!
