There are so many gems here. Admittedly, not all dollar trees are created equal, and I literally leave my town to shop at this one. The store is spacious, clean and well organized. I detest going to junky stores where everything is all mixed up, battered and abused. This is where you want to be if you're planning a kid's party. Skip expensive party stores, this place has everything you need for cheap. I bought ballons, streamers, unicorn themed paper plates, napkins and so much more. Heck, I even threw in a random plushie, unicorn basket, crayons, and squishy things. There are lots of name brand items. Careful through, some things that are $1.25 are actually more than you would typically spend at the local grocery store. Additionally, one thing that caught me was that nowadays, there are $3, $4 and $5 dollar items, so make sure you pay attention. Naturally, plan to spend more than the 2-3 items you came for. This trip, I actually only came for scotch tape and yeah $0 bucks later I finally shuffled to the checkout counter. Note: If you are a senior or person with a disability, you may want to bring a rolling cart/bag. You can't take the shopping cart to the parking, so if you have a large haul, it may be tough to carry all the bags. Half the carts have wonky wheels.

My children and I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon in our back yard. Stopped by there again to get coffee filters and snacks for our movie night tonight. They have EVERYTHING! Kitchen items, food, ice cold drinks and ice cream. Cleaning products, shoes, shirts, hats, craft materials, medicine, make up and makeup removers, toys, coloring books, and I love their gift bags. So maybe next time you feel like stopping in dollar general or dollar tree or another major corporation... support your local best 99 instead.

The store is very well organized, which makes browsing actually enjoyable instead of overwhelming, and there's a little bit of everything here, from clothing and housewares to furniture and even some outdoor items. I like that it feels more curated than chaotic, which is not always the case with thrift stores. It's an easy and quick detour off the 10 when traveling to or from the Palm Springs area, so stopping in never feels like a big commitment. For me, it checks all the boxes of a good treasure hunt spot and always feels worth a lap or two through the aisles.

She called me out in line and stated that they don't accept returns for anything relating to alcohol in a very stern and unsympathetic manner. The line all starred and looked at me, making it awkward. The bottle was simply way too far overpriced and the discount ticket initially misled me as a customer. Not buying that type of product here again and will avoid shopping at this local store. I should add that they didn't ask for ID either given it was expensive alcohol, yet I get asked at the majority of stores I shop at frequently including this very location for cheaper alcoholic products.

I came in pretty stressed because I realized…read morelast minute that I forgot to pick up a poster board I had printed for my grandma's funeral, and I also hadn't printed about 40 photos I needed. Even though my photo order said it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow, the employees were so kind right from the moment I walked in. They were helping other customers, but still acknowledged me and directed me to the photo counter right away. The employee there grabbed my poster board and offered to print my photo order on the spot, letting me know it would just take about 5 minutes. That alone meant so much to me in that moment. But what really stood out is that he went out of his way to find me in the store once everything was ready and personally handed me my order. During such a difficult time, that level of kindness and effort truly meant everything. I'm so grateful for the compassion and customer service I received tonight. Spaces are nice and wide, which is great for all the giant trucks in Yucaipa. :-) Fingers crossed that the parking situation stays good! My only gripe is that a few times the younger staff work ethic at this location has seemed a little below the normal TJs standard. Ex: During a rush, I'm used to seeing available staff head to the registers to ring people up and bag their groceries so the lines go quickly and don't back up. I've been in a few times where that hasn't happened and it feels weird waiting in a longer line at TJs. By and large though, the staff is great. They'd be A++ at Albertsons but I hold TJs staff to a higher standard. So not *really* an issue, just me being fussy.
