Their menu is posted above the cashier as well as the specials being posted closer to where you stand in line. Visited during a weekday around lunchtime and there were only a few other people ordering food. Tried a chicken burrito with everything (lite rice, beans, green salsa, guacamole and chipotle). The burritos are a good size. I only ate half then saved the rest for dinner. The burrito was delish, SUPER FLAVORFUL. Each bite was so good. I called Asa Little Supermarket in Yucaipa with a simple question, and unfortunately, the level of professionalism over the phone really needs to be addressed. The woman who answered simply said, "Hello," without identifying the store or giving any kind of professional greeting. Yes, of course I know where I'm calling, but as a business, you should still state the name of the establishment when answering the phone. It's basic phone etiquette and professionalism. After I asked my question, I was placed on hold and left there for over three minutes with no update or acknowledgment. It likely would have been even longer had I not finally hung up. I attempted to call back afterward, and no one answered. The staff answering the phones could definitely benefit from proper customer service and phone etiquette training. A simple professional greeting, clear communication, and checking back with a customer who is on hold can make a huge difference. Unfortunately since the recent owner change this favorite local supermarket is not the same as it used to be. read more

It only took a few years of coming here for Taco Tuesdays to finally try the hard shell tacos! I didn't know what I was missing! The Chorizo Potato Tacos are a must-try! Love this supermarket with all sorts of dry goods, meat section and also take out menu! Got some guava candies, chicharon and Limon chips. Got a take out of their delicious Chile Relleno. Service was a fast at the check out line!!! Bought a pork butt roast for a carnita recipe !!!! Prices comparably average to other grocery stores!! I ordered a steak burrito with chipotle sauce on 4/16/26, and shortly after, I became extremely sick. What I experienced felt like food poisoning, and it was severe enough to disrupt my entire weekend and health. Since the change in ownership, the quality here has noticeably declined. The food no longer tastes as fresh, and based on my experience, I'm genuinely concerned about food handling and safety standards. Lady taking orders was very RUDE. Then ask you what kind of salsa do you like, then charges you for it without telling you!!! Now the food... Asaderos is a spot you can keep coming back to. We do! The pricing on their taco plates is fantastic, and they are delicious! We love their potato tacos, the carnitas, and the al pastor. Pro-tip: skip the pan dulce in the market and head a few blocks over to La Yaquesita instead for their delicious conchitas. Asaderos tacos + La Yaquesita conchitas makes for a perfect dinner. Asaderos is a grocery store with a kitchen/deli. Their kitchen has really good food for inexpensive. It's been a while, and I had a strong craving for their mojarras (floured, then deep fried whole fish). The kitchen never disappoints! For those who like, the fish is so crispy that you can eat the tail, fins, and some of bones (yes, I don't get enough calcium in my diet like 42% of the population, so I gnaw on fish bones and shrimp tails. If you've never done it before, don't, because it takes a lot of chewing to get rid of sharp points and is dangerous. You don't want anything piercing your throat or stomach.) They offer rice and 3 different beans--pintos, black beans and Peruvian beans. The rice is always perfect, and I love their black beans (my favorite!). I first started buying their Tuesday taco deals, then tamales (trio combo, excellent deal!), and then most of their menu. The store is small, but makes up for it in their butcher/deli section. Such a wide selection of marinated meats--I feel a barbecue coming on!!! The green grocer section has fresh produce for a very reasonable price! They also stock a lot of Hispanic treats. No wonder people walk out with loaded bags. (I had 2!) So stop by and take a look. I guarantee most of you will be surprised. read more

I've updated my review since it's been years past & just moved back last month of this review. It's changed since then - still the only Latino market in this city. It has been upgraded a little - it's more open, organized & hot food deli has been downsized - it use to be a big open space w/benches, and a sitting area that appeared being wasted, now condensed & utilized for more market use. And now get acknowledged by employees, didn't get that before. We haven't had a chance to try the food, I remember back then it was pretty decent. But now with so many Mexican restaurants & fast food (in this city) its not likely we'll try. But probably try the carneceria and quick grab of Latino Staples we can't live without. Don't think I'll ever do the tamales, honestly unless it's mom, abuelita or any relative or closed acquaintance, it's just difficulty o find quality homemade tamales, even in LA. It's convenient for the quick little necessities such as spices, carne preparado but still a little too small for me and they have the Mexican sweet bread bagged up in threes of same type for $2.50, you can get cheaper if you drive to Redlands or Beaumont/Banning for less (San Bernardino got some decent panaderias where it's fresh daily to grab and lot more variety in types) But I will keep coming back because of it's accessibility. Little pointer - park further away from entrance as the people who park real close are like that of people who do that at every market, 99/Dollartree & Walmart- pet peeves people! Trust me, those of you who experienced the crap know what I'm talking about. PS what happened to the bunches of prepackaged fresh salsas & guacamole's they use to have? I love the products they sell here but mannnn the customer service needs improvement, ordered from the restaurant counter the 2 girls working behind the counter were extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming, and rolled their eyes at me the moment I asked for a side of tostada shells for our ceviche.
