It's your typical dollar store, located in a woebegone strip mall on Blue Hills Avenue. They had a freezer and refrigerated case for food items, a ton of non-perishable foods on the shelves, and the usual assortment of kitchen and bath goods, dishes, household accessories, books and toys and health and beauty aids.
I'd say the store's housekeeping grades are about average, some of the aisles were neat and clean, some had boxes in the aisles, and some had stray merchandise on the floor.
I picked up a hot pickled sausage for fifty cents (good deal!), a 16-ounce jar of salsa for $2 (pretty good deal), a 12-pack box of K -Cup coffee for four bucks (Nice deal) and a big bowl of Hot & Spicy Ramen Noodles for a buck (good deal). So believe me, the bargains are there.
I did see a lot of workers stocking the shelves, and the young lady at the register was very pleasant.
All things considered, I'd say "A-OK" is right on the money. read more
