There were rows of bins containing junk piled on too of more junk with people lining each side of each bin. Apparently, they had just brought out new stuff because there was a lot of pushing and shoving going on. I pulled my Michael Kors a little closer to me & found an opening at one of the bins next to an elderly gentleman who kept screaming about the government & the toaster he just found. Anyway, after catching a few elbows I made a friend who have me the run down of how everything worked. Most of the items are sold by the pound ($1.69 per pound) linens included. Glasswares are 7/$1.99 ...ANY 7 items!!! Electronics & furniture have set prices that depend of the type of item. My first time there I purchased an oversize microfiber chair in excellent condition for only $4.99 and a space heater for $2.99. The employees there have also been helpful by helping me learn about their pricing and they are very patient with me at checkout (I like to weigh things separately to make sure I'm getting a good deal). This is now my favorite thrift store... I've gotten so many steals and try to go daily if at all possible. :)

Housewares and things look like random piles of garbage. Broken items, mismatched shoes and ugly plastic appears worthless. The clothes bins look interesting to dig through. Nothing is sorted by color or size. Thankfully the clothes do appear clean. That doesn't mean that there's anything worth buying though I found plus size clothing, children's clothing and old bedsheets. The clothing was bottom tier: Walmart, Target, Shein, and Old Navy brands dominated. Most articles of clothing were ripped, torn or stained. You're not going to find any secret treasure here. Everything is well picked over already. I suspect these are the last items that didn't sell in the store or get pulled to sell online. This is the very, very last stop before these items go to the landfill.

Overall, I have a great experience at Atwoods, but my experience with getting chicks has been…read moreawful. We found out two of our chickens were male, so we went to Atwoods to get some hens. From the pullets bin (which are clipped with green tags), we got three "pullets" - one died within 24hours, and we've raised a lot of day old chicks to healthy chickens, so the manager, Jason, who was very nice about the whole thing, got us another one free of charge and she's doing just great. - another turned out to be a rooster, which is very frustrating because it was a green-tagged pullet. - and just overall, the green aluminum tags are difficult to remove especially with smaller breeds like the Ameracauna (I believe I spelled that wrong). The fluff feathers get very matted, and overall the clipped areas look very irritated and removing them usually involves a lot of pain to the chick and some blood as well. I would recommend zipties on their legs instead. I've gotten chickens from other tractor supply places and they don't clip the wing like Atwoods does.

She then walked away to another register and left us standing there to as she tried to appear helping another customer but yet again on her cell. We just stood there with several other customer in line behind us. Everyone was like WOW she really just did that. we finally just left everything in the basket and walked out. We had at least $200-$250 worth of merchandise in our basket. Horrible customer service in this location. Will never return! Do better in training your associates Atwoods.
