Dollar General in Arbuckle SUCKS !!!!! They need to open up another register or open up the self checkouts because it is ridiculous the worst customer service ever!!! Been coming here for a while and since the remodeling of the store the shelves are consistantly out of stock there's only one person check stand all of the rest or self check and the cigarette case has been broken for a week nice remodel liked the old way better. read more

check the prices on ur receipt because the shelf says one thing then u end up paying $1.50+ more than u had originally thought. then they need all ur trash brought back into the store to rescan an give money back. candy bars but 3 get one free? nope. paid for all 4! overcharged for 4 items in my basket. not coming back here seriously needs some better management or something. thats like bait and switch. absolutely ridiculous. idgaf if its a few dollars this time ive been here many times and glad i finally checked my receipt they prob do it all the time. so im sure it adds up! read more

Considering the limited shopping opportunities in Williams, CA, Dollar General could come in handy. It did for me during a trip in the area. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There was a huge selection of items, especially those you would need on a long drive or trip. Good location near the Ramada too. Definitely a store I'll return to in the future if I'm in the area. read more

The General Manager Michael lacks all forms of emotional intelligence and does not know how to provide friendly customer service, or any customer service for that matter. My mother left in tears because this manager was rude and dismissive after the STORE made a mistake uploading money onto her card. After two hours they did not help her and, instead, spoke down to this sweet woman. Upon calling, Michaels tone was already rude and seemed like he was bothered by having to answer the phone - or being at work, in general. I am very disgusted with this store and its leadership especially during two state of emergencies. I'd give negative stars if I could. read more

The assistant manager, young guy, had the kind of natural customer service I'd never expect from a dollar general. The other kids working next to him didn't seem to hate their jobs. The store was as clean and as organized as I could hope for. read more

Okay so I went into Dollar General today to buy an item and they tell me that they cannot give back my $0.50 because there's a coin shortage yeah so I asked the sales associate for an items that are for $0.50 because I work hard for my money as much as anybody else even if it is fifty cents.. try to make small talk with with the associate saying you know that's kind of a racket right if you think about how many people are not getting back there change the manager over hears me and tells me I need to knock it off and just to stop!! okay obviously she's having a bad day. I tell her okay whatever you know I hope you have a better day proceeded to go outside and call the number on the receipt to talk to a manager and tell her about the experience. As I'm talking to the person on the phone I tell them I I don't know the name of the person she wasn't wearing a name tag and don't know what position she holds at the store but I would like to go back in and get her name they told me yeah come back in come to find out she's the manager and she starts flipping out at me comes out of the store threatening me ..getting into my personal space I'm trying to start a fight ...a physical altercation... As soon as I try to pull out my phone to try to take a picture of her she starts to leave I pulled away from the store and proceeded to call the store Corporation and Report the incident and also the sheriff to have a civil standby to return the items. When returning the items they could not even give me back the correct amount of change they shorted me a dollar. I know that sounds Petty but everybody works very hard for their money and no matter the amount especially after Christmas. Oh and when I went back in wit the civil standby I was able to get the manager's name... Amrita P. and report it on my case number to corporate. Let's just say the customer service skills are very lacking and if that's the kind of people they have as managers..I can understand why they're short staff.. read more

Read the reviews first before writing my own. The review which states he stopped in Williams IS NOT this store location. These reviews are for the store in Arbuckle. My mother shops here quite often (Resides in Dunnigan) as I've taken her many times before and after her knee replacement. I sensed a lil racism here and there but didn't pay it any mind.. Until today. Been sick with the flu over 48 hrs, managed to drive myself to this location for some soup and orange juice. I forgot my debit card and only had change in my car. I was 30 cents short of getting 1 can of soup and orange juice. I asked the worker there (very overweight lady) if she had 30 cents to help me, she said no. I asked the Pepsi vendor he rudely said no. Then a lady came from behind and offered the 30 cents on my behalf. I could barely stand up that's how weak I currently am but I had to post this review. This is simply outrageous to me as I always lend a helping hand to others in need. I hope everyone reads these reviews, STOP SHOPPING HERE so they can close down. I humbly wish karma upon them. The old white lady manager is walking around WITHOUT a mask coughing all over the place. Patheic show of leadership when the person in charge can't follow the rules POSTED for everyone else. Wearing a mask is not an option when you are the person who is supposed to enforce rules. Specially if you are already coughing! Terrible just... just terrible no good aspects. The new store manager is terrible. She is not personable, does not speak to customers like she actually wants to help them. She acts like she hates the people that shop in her store, like she is better than them. I really do not like shopping here, but it is the only place in town. For the most part everyone else is pleasant, especially Blake and Suzi. They just really need to get rid of the store manager. She also has tattoos that show, not that I am against them, but it is not very professional and is unbecoming. She is just very rude and I think most customers would agree with me. read more

Glad it's here! Surprised to find landscape equipment and tools in addition to some of our favorite foods and household supplies.

We are making the move to Arbuckle soon from Sacramento so we decided to drive around the town to see what local businesses it has. We drove around a little bit and saw the dollar general. We decided to take a look and see what they have to offer. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked in. The store is very clean and well stocked. Prices are fair and they have just about everything you can think of. We will definitely be returning when we make the move! read more

I've been shopping here since it opened about 7 mths ago. I thought it looked clean and interesting. I am disabled but am not in a wheelchair, yet. I'm very aware of disabled clients, especially, because I was an RN for over 30 yrs. Today, the sidewalk outside was completely blocked with a huge box and no one was there. Inside the vendors were joking about chips. When I told them about the blocked sidewalk, they told me they were waiting for the manager. Several times I have spoken to the manager Jose about how cluttered the aisles are, even dangerous with a large metal shelf on the floor today. Also, about how long the lines are. He has always said every problem is Corporate's idea or today when I couldn't turn my shopping cart into the large open area before the cash registers, it was the" Pepsi vendor's fault." I asked him if he was the manager in charge of making sure that everything is legal, he said yes, but that it was the Pepsi vendor's fault and Corporate for not giving them the space. Do you see a pattern here? I even came in one day when his supervisor was there and told her my concerns. She told him again about the importance of room for a wheelchair. Additionally, she told him the bread displays that stuck out were not supposed to be filled with tortillas since the bread companies apparently pay for the display. After she left, they were full of tortillas, again. I bought a camera for the sole purpose of filming what I felt to possibly be a crime; it is that bad. Jose told me that I am the only one to complain, but the disabled are heavily dependent on whatever convenient ways they have to get food and reluctant to alienate a manager. Several have complained to me about the tight turns and inability to go down aisles. I even told one woman in a wheelchair that the staff was nice and would probably help her get things down. The staff is very nice. I feel badly for them when the very long lines form because the other employee has left the store for lunch. This seems dangerous to have only one person there, in such a busy store. I have spent thousands of dollars there but will emphasize this by spending my money elsewhere. To my knowledge, nothing was done to change the situation and make it safer that day. read more
