I came in here today to get their deals on wine. Can't beat their prices on wine and hard alcohol...lol 100 percent employee owned. Not a big selection of meats. Two female employees were yelling back and forth about their boyfriends or some stupid shit like that while I'm standing directly between them being checked out. Where do I start with how awful a store this is and how much its existence here hurts our town. First of all this store is just plain bad. The selection is terrible, and the prices are high. The bakery is terrible, the meat department is terrible and what little excuse they have for a deli is terrible. The produce department is pitiful and has little to no organic fruits nor vegetables. However, one of the worst parts of this store is how if caters exclusively to one segment of the population. In other words, this store is racist, catering to the Hispanic population. Just go in and look around. There is half of an entire aisle of cookies dedicated just to Mexican cookies. Almost every end cap is dedicated to Mexican products. Everywhere you look are Mexican pastries, chicharones and the like. From the minute you walk in the door and go to the left, look at the products, left and right, all dedicated to one segment of the population. But, what makes this store bad for our town is that it makes people leave Colusa to shop in Yuba City. Yes, the non Hispanic population of town, which is a huge population, leaves Colusa and goes to Yuba City to do their grocery shopping at Bel Air, Winco, Raley's, Walmart, New Earth, Target or Sam's. And while they're already there, they do all their other shopping and restaurant visits. Think of it like an anchor store at a mall. The anchor store brings you to the mall and while you're there, you do other shopping at other stores in the mall. It's a great concept. It's what Colusa needs. We need a grocery store that draws ALL people of Colusa, not just Hispanics, and if we had this, we would be able to keep people in town, which could be the beginning of a change in Colusa. If people stayed for their grocery shopping, they might stay here to go to our Drug Store or our Dollar General, or other Mom and Pop stores that might open up here because of a renaissance. They may also stay here and eat at Rocco's or Jeff's Freezette or Don Habanero or Riverbank Pizza. Again, Sav Mor has created a situation where most of the people in town LEAVE because they don't want to shop at a store with lousy prices, lousy selection, and that, in a blatantly racist way, specifically caters to one segment of the population. So, when people leave to shop in Yuba City, there they stay, until they come home. It is time for the population of Colusa to stand up and express their disgust with Sav Mor, to let the store and the people who run this town know that this store is hurting us and keeping us from growing. If we don't stand up and demand that we have another store for all of us to shop, a store with quality products or for Sav Mor to make a change, like becoming a Holiday Market, which is another Market this same company owns. How will our town grow if this store, which basically amounts to an El Super, is all we have. Who is going to want to move here and buy a $500,000 house when we have nothing to offer? We've already got a bad enough situation here with no more Rite Aid and a drug store that's closed evenings and weekends. But this store and it's bad decisions are making it worse! It's time to start letting Sav Mor know what you think of them, and start letting city leaders and the Chamber of Commerce know what you think of this business. Ask the City and the County and the Chamber to urge Sav Mor to change to a Holiday Market, so that it can be a better fit for Colusa! read more

Best store in colusa, you can't prove me wrong everyone who rated it 1 star are bums, the food is great I love buying chips and they have everything I could ever ask for I could almost cry I love sav-mor. There is not a single flaw about this store it's nice and quiet and it's just feels so peaceful to buy food. read more

Such a disappointing store. The only grocery store in our town and it feels as though it caters to only one segment of the population, and that's just not right. As a person of mixed ethnicity (I am half Hispanic), I feel uniquely able to comment on the silently racist way that this store is put together. You see, when you walk in the door, you are greeted by products specifically for the Mexican (and other Latin American) population of town. These items are also in every prominent position within the store. Lining the center-aisle and on nearly every end-cap. How does the management of this store not see that this is, both, wrong, and a poor business decision? I would like to offer some food for thought. Let's say for an example, that 40% of the town is Hispanic. That doesn't automatically mean that 40% of the Hispanic population is from Mexico or another Latin American country. Many Hispanics in town are from a long line of American born people and consider themselves American-only and are fully immersed in American Culture, just as any person of any background would be, when from a long line of American born family. Therefore, isn't it racist to make the assumption that because 40% of the town is Hispanic that 40% of the town is coming to your store to buy products specifically from Mexico?? In addition, you're alienating 60% of the town who goes to your store and feels that it is not a store for them, that it is for the other people in town. I happen to know for a fact, that many people in town feel this way about this store, and when it's time to shop, they drive right on by and head to Yuba City to do their shopping. They go to Bel Air, Raley's, Walmart or Winco. Stores that don't skew their products placement to cater to only one segment of the population. Now, of course, I'm not saying that products like these shouldn't be sold at Sav Mor. But perhaps there can be a Hispanic products aisle in the store, where people from Mexico can go to find the items they like all in one convenient place, rather than all of the important real estate being dedicated to making Sav Mor feel more like a La Superior store This all comes down to bad business management. Whoever came up with the idea to promote products from Mexico in all the most prominent places within the store, is obviously out to prove some agenda, rather than out to get the most people in Colusa to shop at Sav Mor, and that's a big mistake! Please consider not displaying merchandise according to ethnicity!! Thank you. read more

This place saved our programs we need 30 cupcakes and they came through! It's hard to find a decent place in Williams... so I called them and they had them... not only did they have them... but the staff was super helpful... They saved my students graduation. Love SAVMORS fresh produce, hot food pantry, wide selection of products and goods, and friendly staff.

A bit spendy compared to the big box stores such as WinCo and FoodMaxx, however, their store is nice, clean, and organized in a logical, and efficient manner. I live in Williams and I wish we had a grocery store that was even half as customer friendly, and economical as this one. read more

having recently moved from Solano County to Colusa County I was thrilled to find the Sav-Mor store as I can't afford to drive to Willows or Yuba City to shop at Winco or WalMart. This store carries just about everything I need plus it is clean, well stocked, lighting is great and the workers friendly and helpful. I recommend shopping here for all your food needs. read more

I couldn't even get ahold of any of the girls in the bakery to write something on a cake because they were too damn busy talking about their hair and a bunch of parties they went to last night. I called them multiple times through multiple ways and nothing they were to busy talking to pay any attention to me or other people. They should be busy talking to employees than talking about drinking and smoking last night. read more

I work in Colusa and usually pick up stuff on the way home. Though they are not a big "Box Store" type, they've got friendly staff, and have the stuff that I need. I recently lost a bag with about 4 or 5 items in it. I went back in 2 days later and explained my situation. The told me get the items! I thanked them profusely for helping me out! That was great PR, and it didn't cost them much. read more

Staying in colusa for a few days. Surprised at the selection and low prices. They even had the organic milk we normally buy.

So the cake I ordered in bakery was two hours late every cake desighns I picked they didn't have but did offer to draw it on the lady who decorated the cake was very apologetic and told me she'd give me a discount after waiting for ever for this cake and still having to drive over a hour to sac with it they the manager gave me a seven dollar discount this was a full sheet cake and they charged me for two kits on the cake the manager or whomever it was that worked in the bakery was very rude the decorater lady told her she should have Givin me a better discount she was rude to her as well if I would have l own this I would have left this cake there will never order a cake from there again very rude ass people read more
