We shopped for an hour, loading our cart with over $100 of groceries. I paid for them. When I requested the 40c per gallon coupon; they said they didn't have any left. No explanation- no apology- NO SALE !! The manager on duty made no effort to rectify or ameliorate their failure to honor their printed advertisement.

Terrible customer service. I was looking to purchase some pokemon cards, which are rarely in stock…read more Surprisingly there were two boxes in stock on the very bottom shelf shoved toward the back. I noticed the one box was completely ripped open on the side and two packs of cards had been stolen from it, so I thought I would bring it to the customer service desk to make them aware people were stealing the cards. The other box was the same as the first and had been partially opened on the side, as if the thief was going to open it and steal packs from it too but didn't get to it all the way. I planned on purchasing the second one at the customer service desk since it had not been opened all the way and nothing was taken from inside the box. The lady at the customer service counter immediately took the obviously opened box from me as they of course could not sell it anymore, which I expected. So as I put the second (slightly opened) box onto the counter to purchase she proceeded to over inspect it and say the thief had stolen from that box as well. When clearly it wasn't even ripped open all the way and nothing had been taken from it. She frantically called her manager and told me he would not allow her to sell either one of them to me. I understand not being able to purchase the first box because it had been deliberately ripped open and two packs were clearly taken from it but the second box was still in good enough condition to sell with all the product still inside the box. But I was not allowed to purchase it due to "legal reasons". I thought this was ridiculous. The customer service representative rushed through the interaction, somewhat misunderstood the situation and over reacted, in turn losing a sale for her store and me a chance for new cards for my son. Needless to say I was pretty bummed out because it was the first time in months I had found any new pokemon product in stock at this location. I understand retail can be difficult and demanding for employees, but customers should leave the customer service department feeling like their concerns have been heard and their issues have been addressed, at least in some way. Especially when the customer is trying to do the right thing. Please do better in the trading card area with security and such, as well as patience and understanding with customer issues. Thank you

Their store made brats come in many flavors, and I also love their smoked meats. They even send out some really good coupons periodically, saving me real money on my grocery bill. When fully staffed, they even bring your groceries out and load them into your car for you. I love shopping at this old-timey family grocery store. Check it out!!

This is…read morea grocery store with a food truck outside, and they serve some of the best Mexican food in the area. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food wasn't super fast, but that's great because it means they are making it fresh. We ordered a steak burrito, a bunch of different tacos, some tamales, and some paletas. They were super kind because they didn't even know that we were going to order tamales, and they gave us one to try on the house! Having been disappointed by so much of the Mexican food in the area, this was really refreshing. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the salsas hit all the right notes. It's a grocery store, so don't expect much in the way of ambience. I don't even know if there is a place to sit down and eat, but we were taking our food to go anyway. In all, I've been to a lot of Mexican places in southwest michigan, and this is one of the best. We will definitely be coming back.

I have been disappointed in the Walmart on Alpine Ave in Comstock Park for some time. I have left…read morereviews and concerns with the home office, but it does not seem to matter to them. The Alpine store has empty shelves, rarely has working bottle return, people to do upkeep, no shopping carts in store, deli not open, not very clean. There is a management issue at this store that headquarters seem to not want to address. I have been to other Walmart's, they are not great, but they are better that the Alpine store, so I know it can be done. Problem is, they are too far to drive, as I am disabled and cannot afford the extra gas money. Luckily there are other, and might I add much better discount food alternatives in my area. I will be pulling my prescriptions this month, about the only reason I still go there. Sometimes I stop there because of convenience, but I almost always leave without finding some things, and always disappointed. I just cannot shop there anymore, it ruins my mood every time. Fire the management!
