This is a restaurant that lives up to the hype. We tried so many things, all pinxtos and appetizers. Fried olives, sourdough bread, iberico ham, octopus, tuna crudo, crab claws, patatas bravas, and more. Everything was great. We even saved room for dessert- the olive oil cake and chocolate espresso sorbet. Highly recommend!

Charred leeks. That sauce is incredible, highly recommend getting extra sourdough for dipping!

A must try! It was so hard not to get everything on the menu and then some. We sat at the bar, which we love doing, but also a great experience to interact with the staff and watch them cook with the wood burning oven. Cocktails were on point too. You HAVE to try the pork over potatoes, it doesn't even look like pork, idk how they do it! It's sliced and cooked to perfection. Awesome date night spot and would even suggest bringing out of town and work guests here too because of the ambiance. Really cool spot and awesome food. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!

2nd time to this amazing place; wanted to try the steak but we ordered so many small plates before asking about the steak sizes and knew we needed to forgo the steak on this trip. Once again (any every future trip) we ordered the.sourdough bread with espelette butter--absolutely unbelievable and fun fact is that their sourdough started was handed down by former occupants of the space Ancora. In our two visits we enjoyed amazing small plates of fried olives with cider mornay, button mushrooms, charred leeks with , crudo, shrimp al ajillo and Basque cheesecake. Both times, we had the grilled Iberico pork over potato purée with foie demi--truly mind-blowing. We will go back very soon to try the steak as well as Arroz Melcso and may have to get another couple to help us out. In addition to amazing food, the space is beautiful and staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend.

Just outstanding. Everything we ordered was excellent but the garlic shrimp, grilled carrots, and Iberico ham were standouts.

Super new but super glad we tried this place. TikTok creators hyped this place up and it was worth it. Started off with 2 fabulous cocktails that we ordered on repeat. The bees knees has actual honeycomb with it. I got the g & tea and it was so good that I can't wait to make something similar at home. We started with the shrimp appetizer and the button mushrooms and the fried potatoes. Mushrooms were a let down because they were lukewarm and I have a food temp thing, but we were some of the only people in the place so maybe that's how they were supposed to be. Potatoes were perfection. Shrimp was good but thankfully my bf got all the meat out because I'm not that adept at that. For mains we had the yellow fin tuna and pork. Both were really good and flavorful, but I think the pork was a bit better. Overall very good service and food unlike any other place in the city. Another great addition to new-ish restaurants along Freret!!

    Yellow fin - perfectly seared

Connor did a lovely job of taking care of us. Super attentive, fun and knowledgeable without being intrusive. Food was excellent all around. Pork on whipped potatoes is fantastic. Yellowfin tuna very good. All the apps and pintxos - octopus, carrots, yummy sourdough, mushrooms, leeks - liked it all.

The grits were creamy, rich, and paired perfectly with the savory sauce and vegetables. One of those dishes where everybody at the table keeps sneaking bites off your plate. I also tried the steak and eggs over potatoes which was good too. The steak was cooked well and the potatoes were seasoned nicely, but after tasting those short ribs, nothing else really stood a chance. For the appetizer we ordered this fancy oyster dish that I cannot pronounce to save my life lol, but it was actually really good. Crispy, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Definitely a great starter if you want something a little different. The restaurant itself has such a charming atmosphere. The floral wallpaper, vintage decor, fresh flowers on the tables, and cozy setup made it feel warm and intimate without trying too hard. It was busy for Mother's Day brunch but still felt relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a spot I'd go back to, especially for those short ribs and grits alone.

It's just downright delicious and filling too. The bartender was a bit awkward. She said she'd only worked there for two months, so maybe she is still trying to find her rhythm. Her interaction or lack thereof seemed notable enough to drop a star. Still, in a community full of solid dining options I'll recommend Lola's again and again.

Fresh seafood from the Gulf of MEXICO and a wicked drink menu. They offer several ceviches. Tapas include guacamole, empanadas, crawfish queso, fish dip and veggie salads like crispy cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. We had the crispy cauliflower served with tempura, cashew habanero crema, garbanzo hash, and chimichurri. Loads of flavor and just the right bite size for tapas/apps. Plates include churrasco, fish and grits, paella (can be served veggie or without shellfish if you're allergic), lamb, Yucatan style pork, shrimp or steak mofongo, and chicken poblano. I had the churrasco, served with papas bravas. Steak cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the steak mofongo and the beef tips, like the churrasco, were seasoned perfectly. The plantain mash was sweet and somehow savory at the same time. We loved both dishes. They make mean margaritas and caipirinhas hre, and also offer drinks like the paloma, the Bolivian sour, sangria, and specialty drinks. Service was amazing. She was so upbeat and helpful. This restaurant was a little slow when we went. It deserves a lot more love. It's so close to the touristy part of the French Quarter. Leave the gimmicky spots and come here, you won't regret it.

They were so good! For dessert we had the brownie and the butter cake! The butter cake was amazing! The brownie a bit dry. I think the brownie would've been much better with ice cream. However, all in all the food was 10 out of 10 would recommend! As for drinks, we tried just about everything on the menu, and I would highly recommend anything with gin in it! While the food was amazing, the service was a bit slow... As this was my first time, that's what I can say. However, I was visiting family who has been here multiple times and they were surprised by the slow service. So my assumption is that it is not slow service typically. Our waitress was awesome and very polite! I really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant! We were sat outside. I enjoyed the outdoor lighting and the music they were playing. Some might think the music was too loud, but I thought it was perfect! Would I recommend this place to other others? YES! I will be going back!
