I like firm pressure, and she had no problem whatsoever bringing that to the table. She was intuitive and committed to relieving the significant tension in my neck and shoulder. I found her through the great reviews on Google maps, and her website was incredibly professional and easy to book with. I tried the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage for the first time, and I really enjoyed it! It was nice to have areas worked that are normally skipped with Swedish and other types of massages. And that's not all... I used to go to a couple of different franchises as a member, and House of Harmony is so much better! I was greeted with aromatherapy right when I walked in, and she continued to use it throughout the session. Camilla doesn't skimp on the aromatherapy OR the water - she gave me a bottle instead of one of those little paper cups! The center strikes a great balance of homey & professional, with lovely lights, artwork, and decor that gives it personality vs the more cold and sterile atmosphere at the franchises. The linens on the massage table were heavenly. Also, her membership packages are reasonably priced, and very flexible. She didn't try to sell me on them either - I brought them up to her. After having read multiple wonderfully positive reviews of Arizona Massage and Bodywork, I…read morescheduled a session with Pilma via text (with a number provided on her website) which was very efficient and convenient. As requested, I arrived a bit early for my appointment in order to fill out informational health paperwork. After completing the paperwork, Pilma asked questions about any concerns and areas that needed focus, what type of pressure, etc., which I informed her about. She kindly assisted me to a therapy room with that was very tastefully decorated with various pieces of art, subdued lighting and soothing music which provided a very calming atmosphere. Her nicely padded treatment table is the most comfortable I've ever been on and I was able to breath easily while on my stomach and importantly, I didn't experience any back pain from being on the table after my session. During my treatment, Pilma was very careful massaging and stretching me; she frequently inquired about my pain level (I have Osteoarthritis) and the pressure level she was applying. Not once during my massage, did she cause me to flinch in pain as she was very much in tune with her observations which I very much appreciated. My massage session with Pilma, who was so kind and compassionate, was up before I knew it and she helped me sit up and also offered me a cool bottle of water and recommended to drink plenty of fluids the rest of the day. From my very positive experience with Pilma today, I can see why she has so many wonderful customer reviews. If you haven't had a medical massage yet, you really need to try one out. I don't even get…read moretraditional massages anymore. I'd rather have my girl Tyea(she's a wizard)go straight to work on my problem areas rather than have someone blindly go over my whole body with broad strokes like you will get in an old school massage. It's like a scalpel vs a samurai sword. My body gives me a lot of good feedback in the way of endorphins/oxytocin/etc when I get some nice focused pressure right on some scar tissue or super tight areas, so I much prefer the precision that these types of massages offer. Feeling good during the massage is great, but the real benefit is the aftereffects. Since coming to see Tyea several areas have improved. Things just work better. I can stretch my diaphragm more deeply, more core engagement, gait is faster and longer, more external rotation of my hips and shoulders, knees don't hurt when I get up after sitting long periods, no more neck pain, mewing is better(tongue posture), no more peripheral neuropathy, less scar tissue, just to name a few things. Most people have no idea how good they could feel, and that they have adapted and gotten used to a certain level of dysfunction. It's easy to do in today's world. Glad I have some amazing tools in my toolbox like this to help me stay on my grind
