Email from Jeff saying all photos and videos have been removed when they really aren't. No appolize from Julie or from Dogtopia san marcos

So first let me say my puppy is my baby, hes my first ever 'my own dog'. Hes crazy but what 7 month old puppy isn't. My last convo with Julie was my pup humped well why didn't anyone say anything and 2. His new daycare says he doesn't. SO? So instead of taking my dogs photos down like Jeff Smith has asked, photos are still up. And mine and my pups instragrams are blocked. Weird. Immature yes. Now Dogtopia "Julie" is having staff and fake account made to cover up things and see how great Dogtopia is. See pictures below. Let me be 100% honest. I liked the staff at Dogtopia I liked Hope and I like their trainer. I also think staff has alot to learn. And to handle hyper dogs and behavior and im not the only one who thinks that. I also saw at pickup time was the handlers on the phones in the corner of the room out of cameras view how I know this is I saw at pickup time through the glass when I was waiting for my pup, and only having 1 person in the front at pick up time, both not okay but Who I don't like is Julie. Who to this day hasn't removed MY dog's photos nor even apologized for things to get bad and me contacting corporate. You can see Jeff email saying he thinks photos have been deleted and then there was a new post on their yelp from a LB. First no photo, second there whole page was created today 5 hours ago? weird. Instead just apologize and take my pets photos down before Jeff really makes you. Thanks:) Katelyn

We took our dog Blow to Dogtopia as we prepared to move out of state. They were very accommodating with our last minute booking. The location is clean and modern, and the service was outstanding - far above what I would typically expect at the price point. We loved being able to check in on our doggo periodically via the webcams on their convenient app. We picked him up with a fresh groom which was a much needed service before our road trip! Their report card with photos and a description of his time there as well as tips for care post-boarding was a great departing touch. We're sad to be moving too far out of the area. Otherwise, we would definitely be coming back!

    Luna loves Dogtopia.

We began taking our puppy to Dogs Abound in April after a Zoom consultation with Courtney. I was a…read morelittle taken aback by Courtney who seemed a big standoff-ish during the chat but decided to give the place a shot... after all, I cared more about finding trainers who treated my puppy well more than treating me well. After the first visit, employee Matt said he wasn't sure if they could board our puppy until they knew he would do well with other dogs (totally understandable) but when I mentioned I wanted to do training sessions, he and Courtney got nice quickly and signed me up for everything! I really wanted my 4-month-old puppy to get out of his shell, gain confidence and make friends so I ended up paying for a 10-pack of training sessions. I also read the Yelp reviews here so decided it would work. The training sessions included a Zoom chat with the trainer, Vivien, after four classes. When it was time for our first Zoom chat, the trainer wasn't able to connect to a computer so she called me, which was understandable (happens to all of us, right?) I asked her if she could send me videos (since we didn't get a Zoom chat) of the lessons she was teaching my puppy so I could reinforce it at home and she agreed. A few days past and I didn't get anything so I texted her. I immediately received an email from Courtney telling me not to communicate to her trainer directly. Um ok? I told her Vivien told me she would send me videos because we didn't get our Zoom chat and asked how she would address the problem. Vivien ends up sending me a very lengthy email instead. Another four training sessions pass and we get another Zoom session with Vivien, which was actually helpful! I finally learned what my puppy was learning this whole time! After our final two training sessions, we get an email stating they will now charge $3 per day to feed your dog! WHAT? As though spending hundreds of dollars for training and care isn't enough, they want to profit off feeding your dog and charge more than the food itself? I immediately notified Dogs Abound I wouldn't be returning with my pup. After I canceled, my husband told me that one time when he picked up our dog, he heard one of the employees say to a dog "you little sh*t." Yup, you read that right. An employee called a dog "YOU LITTLE SH*T") I'm all about giving people the benefit of the doubt and like I said, I'd rather have them treat my puppy well than me. However, these greedy folks obviously lack any basic customer service skills. The terrible communication and more importantly, how they treat their clients (fur and human), shows they don't care. I'm also thrown off by the Yelp reviews. Maybe the employees have some hidden biases? We just transitioned to Dogtopia and we are SO MUCH HAPPIER at the level of communication, professionalism and honest love they show the dogs --which can be viewed via Webcam. (I once asked Courtney if she could send me a photo of my puppy and she said no). I suppose this is my lesson in giving people the benefit of the doubt! Not everyone deserves it! UPDATE: My husband saw the dog picked up by the owner after the employee called him a "little sh*t," but nice effort by the owner for trying to defend the verbal abuse of dogs. Good to know she isn't ashamed of acknowledging that she herself may verbally abuse her dogs from time to time.

Our pup gets waaaaay too excited even as we're driving up the street to drop off and he's always eager to get off the car and get to his puppy friends. It's a plus when Missy is there to welcome him! Missy is for sure one of his favorite people at Dogs Abound. Liz, Broke, Courtney and all of the Dogs Abound Team have been amazing with our pup and give this dog mum peace of mind that he's in great hands when I can't be with him. First was my big Maine coon cat who was having severe kidney issues. Dr. Bowdre and staff were so thoughtful and kind and with all of their recommendations he is still thriving today. About 10 days ago my 16-year-old rescue Yorkie was failing quickly. I'll spare you the details. I was treated kindly and respectfully at a time where I was truly heartbroken. The next day I brought her in and held her to the very end. I miss her a lot, and the other dogs mourned her. But what happened before all of that was what I want you to know. The vet-tech came in with a little silver platter. On it with a tongue, depressor coated in cheese-wiz and three Hershey's kisses. She had not eaten in three days, however, she lifted her little head and enjoyed her final treats. Chocolate, you say? Something I would've never given her, however, I figured this was her Thelma and Louise moment. That act of kindness and a little bit of a chuckle still warms my heart.

I have never had kittens or cats before, and panicked calling multiple rescues- most replied that they were closed & full. My neighbor lent me contact info for a person in this group (Forgotten Paws CT) who has helped her before. I reached out to her, and she said she would come get the 6 babies that were safe in my house (4 weeks old, eating on their own). The mother was nearby, but I was unable to trap her. I asked her about keeping some of the kittens I found- she told me I would have to buy them back at $250 EACH if the agency she was giving them to approved it. I told her I was making emergency vet appointments and would keep three of the kittens (which is as many as I could give a good home to). She was noticeably annoyed and repeatedly lied regarding laws. Several hours after I called, she showed up, took the kittens, tried to catch the mother and couldn't, and brought the kittens to the vet as well. I thought that was pretty standard- but then the rescue she gave the kittens to posted that the kittens were stolen from their mother and all this nonsense. They continued to use MY pictures to advertise the kittens. They repeatedly lied about alleged animal laws to not allow me to care for the kittens, despite the vet stating they would do great in my care. After MULTIPLE attempts at telling them not to contact me, they started reaching out to other "rescue groups" to contact me for the kittens. It is extremely disappointing that agencies like Forgotten Paws and Enfield Community Cat Project (the rescue the three kittens were given to) deceive animal lovers by posting false narratives, asking for countless donations when they clearly don't care about the animals, and lie to try to deter adoption! Turns out, Tiffany constantly posts that she's trapping and rescuing animals when in reality many people have called her to just come pick up the animals they have already trapped. Then they wait for someone to exchange money for the animal. I really should have done my research before calling this agency and leaving these poor kittens with them. I recommend others do the same

BEWARE! This is an…read moreunethical organization who does NOT CARE where their dogs are placed. They were pushing dogs onto people with zero regard for their experience with animals or their living situations. I adopted a dog from them. I was told that she was 4 years old, had no history of medical problems, was fully vaccinated, and was house-broken. SHE WAS NONE OF THOSE THINGS! The dog I adopted from them is 10 years old, has arthritis, gum disease, and a tumor, was missing her bordatella and parvo vaccines, and was far from house-broken. They lied about her history and age in order to push this dog onto my partner and I. It is a good thing that we are experienced with senior dogs and have the resources to provide her with the MULTIPLE SURGERIES and medications that she needs to live a normal life. My partner and I also made it clear that we needed a dog who was okay with other dogs, including very large dogs. We have another small, senior dog in our home and regularly house sit for my parents' dogs who are 80 lbs and 100+ lbs. They disregarded our questions and concerns regarding how suitable she would be interacting with large dogs. They told us that they didn't care how she acted with large dogs since her primary home would be with us and another small dog. We were completely taken aback, considering that taking the dogs to the ranch is a regular part of our lives. Once again, we are very lucky that she has had minor issues with the big dogs so far, but we still cannot leave them alone together. We were told at the time of adoption that should any issues arise with house-breaking, kennel training, behavioral issues, etc., we would receive support and help with training as necessary. We reached out to them and did not receive any response. When we adopted our dog, I had a horrible feeling that they were an untrustworthy organization. I wish I had listened to my gut. We love our dog, but this organization is a SCAM Update: I am so glad that we took this dog home, because I sincerely doubt she would have received the care she needs with this organization. She was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure (something that has been building up for several years now) and my partner and I will be keeping her comfortable and monitored though the end of her life. I cannot believe that they would not screen the dogs with thorough vet appointments and feel comfortable sending them home with just anyone who may or may not have the knowledge and the means to provide proper care. Also, I can't believe I never mentioned this in my first review: they were adopting out several puppies who had been spayed and neutered only two days prior to the adoption event! These pups were obviously still recovering from surgery, and they were letting people pick them up. Shameful.
