I remembered about Patty and decided to stop by and see if she was still the owner of cute pets and thankfully she is still there. She literally is the best around. She is never full of dogs like other grooming places and she never puts my dog in a kennel just because "he is just too playful". Anyways I highly recommend her business. I do not like writing bad reviews and waited over a month to write this one. When we picked up our dog from grooming the owner did not say much, but when we got our dog home he was acting very skittish. He had burn spots on his body and his private parts. We took him to the vet and the vet confirmed they were burns. Went back to Cute Pets and talked to the owner who refused to refund my money or pay for the vet bill. She basically did not say much - she obviously knew she hurt our dog and did not say anything when we picked him up. I can't imagine the grooming - he had to be screaming! She was very cold and gave me a partial refund of the groom and refused to pay for the vet. I don't know how anyone could be that cold to animals and yet be a groomer! My dog was traumatized and she did not care or even admit to doing it - she was just cold and did not dispute she did it - how could someone do that?! She should not be trusted with your pet !!! read more

Horrible place!!! What kind of a groomer does not know that they should not shave corgis? We took our Corgi for grooming and asked for a butt trim and underneath hair trim and they ended up trimming his entire coat. They even cut his whiskers, at the least groomer should be aware of what breeds you can and you cannot shave/trim. If you did not understand what we asked for, least you could do is double check with us. A PERFECTLY HEALTHY CORGI'S COAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE TRIMMED. That too in this cold winter. Not this alone, they even cut him in two areas where he was bleeding. Train your groomers or do not take in dogs which you don't care enough to learn about. Very pleased with my first visit here. My dog is a very nervous dog and absolutely trembles when I take her to get groomed. I had to find a new groomer since I had moved and am so glad I have found one I feel comfortable leaving her with. It was quiet, and calm inside this place and the owner was very kind. My dog wasn't crammed into a tiny kennel before or after she was done, but instead was put in a dog run with her own bowl of fresh water. Her cut was adorable and I just love the little beard she created for her. She was the least nervous I've ever seen her after picking her up. I'll be back! read more

My partner and I have a little chihuahua terrier (she's about 5 pounds) and a senior 12 years old because she's so tiny I've been super careful of where I take her to . After reading reviews I had a bad feeling but wanted to have faith in the owners ! My partner took her and mentioned there was a small terrified poodle in a cage barking and little kids running around barefoot. She's never bitten anyone or have shown aggression towards any grooming service . The groomer trimmed her nails too short and it's been a few weeks since I took her I didn't want to leave a bad review but now every time I try to touch her paws she's very resistant and pulls away she had never done this before I don't want anyone puppies to get traumatized I give two stars because they did do their job but definitely won't return read more

Patty, the owner of Cute Pets Grooming, and her assistant, Veronica, do exceptional work for my special needs dogs. I'm so grateful that I found them. Both Zooey, who is our 16 1/2 year old tri-color cocker and her 14 1/2 year old brother, Billy, have no eyes and are deaf. That's a lot for us and our groomers to handle. Let me also say both dogs look beautiful when they come home and are exhausted as you can see. It's a stressful experience for them, but I can tell they are way happier going to see Patty and Veronica than their vet, even though we love Dr. Lee Young, too. Another thing that amazes me is how they manage not to cut either of them. Senior dogs, especially Zooey, have lots of warts. Her last groomer, cut her all the time and said it's common. It really upset me. My dogs are happy. I can tell you that both Patty and Veronica are gentle and loving; they also do a wonderful job. I'm thrilled that I found Cute Pets!!! read more

In my opinion, the BEST GROOMING IN TOWN! We found this hidden gem not too long ago and couldn't be more excited. We have a 'Whoodle' (wheaten terrior poodle mix) with medium hair and a huge personality. When we rescued her, her hair was matted in areas and she was covered in fleas, pretty bad shape. They cut her hair down beautifully and gave her back to us flea free (and she was the happiest we had seen her). They also let her play around the shop before and after her grooming. They have 2 little shop puppies who run around and play with her. It's the cutest thing. The atmosphere in very inviting, lots of light and a huge play pen for pups who aren't too fond of others. The ladies at Cute Pets truly treat each dog as family and genuinely love their jobs (and their clients). Pricing is very reasonable. A grooming session comes with a nail clipping, anal gland expression, and a bath. 10/10 recommend! read more

I would give this woman negative stars if they allowed it. I needed my mini doodle groomed and our regular groomer(s) were not available. She got me in fast which was great, but now I know why. I had a weird feeling because my dog actually had a sixth sense and tried to leave when we arrived and did not like the atmosphere. He was afraid which is not usual for him. I should have paid attention to this and later regretted it. When I picked him up he bolted for the door and was crying. He was terrified and just wanted to leave. Again, not usual behavior. He's friendly and calm. The actual grooming looked okay at first glance, so I paid her and tipped her as a courtesy, but when we got home (a few hours later) I noticed him hiding under the sofa afraid and licking his paws and belly. We had to coax him out from under the sofa and he was extra clingy and afraid. We looked him over and noticed huge red marks all over his body and we noticed a large patch of glue on his stomach and then realized it was a decent sized cut that she had glued together. She never once mentioned she cut him. In fact she didn't say anything at all. Not a scrape but an actual sliced cut. She didn't even offer that anything happened and when we realized it we called and texted her immediately, but she didn't answer. We took him to the vet the next morning because it looked infected and they confirmed that he had been glued with some sort of medical grade glue and it was infected. We called her from the vet from another phone number and she admitted to cutting him and said she just forgot to tell us. How do you forget cutting someone's pet? She just said well, what did the vet say and we told her. I asked her if she called a vet before glueing him and what she used to glue him and she said no she hadn't called a vet, she said she just used medicine. I told her that he needed to be put on oral and topical medication for itching and skin irritation due to all of the scrapes. I asked her if she would pay for the vet visit and refund the cost of the grooming and she didn't respond. She ignored all of the calls and texts after that and never called back and never once offered to help pay. The grooming was $65 plus tip of $10 and the vet bill was $160 dollars. The vet really wanted to know where she got this medical grade stitch glue. On top of all of this he also acquired an ear infection a few days later because she did not put cotton in his ears. So back to the vet he went :/ Not only do we NOT recommend her as a groomer, she was dishonest, not forthcoming and completely shady. She should not be grooming anyone's animals. I have never had this experience with any dog groomer in my entire life of having pets. It was a scary and sad experience for all of us. read more

We had a great experience at Cute Pets! Just moved into the area and had tried one other place which was fine but the staff were disengaged and we decided not to return. You wont find that at Puppy Cuts! First, as stated, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone was really nice to our pup and seemed very excited about working with us. They also were fair on pricing and open and upfront about everything. The actual cut came out great. Our pup pranced out of the backs pace super happy and looking great and clean! They did exactly what we discussed and gave her a little ribbon to boot. 'Ms. Penny" can be a bit finicky as well and they really did a great job working with her. They have a get 10 cuts get the 10th free program as well as discounts for yelp reviews etc. I did this review post visit (so no discount for me)- but I wanted to leave the review because they really deserve it. There are a lot of places to get your dog grooming needs met, but Puppy Cuts is a terrific local, small, reasonably priced business with dedicated and kind staff- cant beat it- check them out! read more

We found 25 dog owners there out of 250 residents. About half were using Pattie at Cute Pets and recommended her. We have returned there satisfied regularly. I made an appointment with Patty at Cute Pets Grooming and was very pleased with the grooming she did on both of my Havanese. She did exactly the cut I wanted. My fur babies seemed happy and excited when I picked them up and proud of their new looks. Cute Pets is really convenient to where I live in Lake San Marcos right on Rancho Santa Fe. I was very pleased with the clean look of the facility as well. She was considerably less expensive than the groomer I took her to in Carlsbad. Right after taking Charlie here he was itching more than ever before. I assumed maybe he needed some flee solution, so I put some on him like I usually do and right after he looked scared, in pain, and wouldn't move. I look and noticed I put it on a cut. I then quickly rinsed him off to then find all these cuts on him. I couldn't believe it!!! Now wonder he was itching so much! Charlie is the sweetest, but likes to play and move around a lot. He doesn't like to stay still. I have never had a problem with our regular groomer which was booked out for a week. That's why I decided to go here. When I picked Charlie up the lady even told me that he didn't really let them do anything through the cut. So this is what happens when a dog doesn't stay still???? If you can't handle dogs like that then you need to deny services. Whoever cut him shouldn't be allowed to have any scissors/clippers in their hand! I was too upset to even go down there!!! I probably wouldn't of handled the situation well in person! These dogs are our babies and I took him to get tortured by these woman!! I felt horrible!!! I never post reviews on Yelp. Shortly after I had to take my dog to the vet (incurred a $80.00 vet bill) due to the fact that my dog had a cut/abrasion near her rear end. Vet informed me it was from clippers.
