**MY BABY WAS ATTACKED IN THEIR CARE**
If you are looking for a place to safely take your fur baby avoid this location. We recently moved from VB and loved our dogtopia in Virginia Beach. This was a absolute different experience. Aside from my dog being attacked the other dogtopia was more lively and had a bunch of fun events and donation opportunities for their foundation. Not once did we experience any of that here, the vibe was completely different and we were considering switching, definitely should have stuck to our gut. This recently happened and on the day of the incident I received a call from dogtopia, that my dog was attacked by another dog. Backstory my baby has zero aggression, friendly, and listens very well (extensive training). Our first instinct was to pick up her up and assess the trauma, sometimes things just happen out of a businesses control. Well this wasn't such a instance. When my husband arrived to pick her up the employee said "This was our fault, an employee left food out after nap time and the other dog is food aggressive and attacked her." So of course the question of Do they not "screen" the dogs in their care. Why would you let any dog with aggression in? Why would you not keep watch of these type of dogs? If you are looking for somewhere that thoroughly screens do not choose this location. The laughable part was that since the employees recognized their fault in this, we were provided a phone number to call for the vet bill (franchise owner or manager) We called and left a nice message, no call back, no text, no email. It may have been because we went to their location today to cancel our plan with them. Either way this is inexcusable, when you trust a business, who is supposed to specialize in taking care of your fur baby this is a major screw up. I can't speak for any of the other locations but definitely won't be placing my baby back here. After the incident she seems very on edge, she is normally a excited happy baby. read more
