Our dog (11 year old shih tzu) is currently at Kamp K9 and as we are in Europe…read more We moved recently to the area and I found Kamp K9 when searching for a new boarding facility. I chose them due to great reviews- and they have gone above and beyond. Sue was quick to respond and invited Bear in for a consultation to see how he interacts with other dogs. From the initial consultation everyone I came in contact at the facility struck a chord with me as you can tell they are truly animal lovers and love what they do! Our dog was having a great time at camp until 3 days in when the very vigilant staff noticed he was having some health issues. Sue quickly took our dog over to a very trusted local vet. Unfortunately, our dog has some serious health issues we were unaware of due to old age (and not at the fault of the camp). After a 1 night stay at the vet instead of washing their hands (which surely would of been easier); Sue offered to take care of our dog until our return. She has sent us text message updates and through regular conversations with her I can confidently say that our dog is in great hands right now even in the worst case scenario. Like anything else in life- you hope everything goes planned. The fact that they shine in the worst case scenario is all you need to know. Your pet will have a great time here and will be in great hands. Thank you Sue and the staff of Kamp K9!

I'm not the only one who thinks so: they just won Citizen's Choice Award, sponsored by the Mississauga News. The staff are friendly and loving to the dogs and treat them responsibly. There is a ton of space - indoors and out - for the dogs to exercise and play, as well as segregated "dens" for the boarded dogs to eat and sleep safely. All areas are completely visible to the staff at all times. We use Kamp K-9 for day care for our separation anxiety pooch and he loves it. I can't leave him alone, but he is more than happy to spend time here when I have errands or appointments. So glad I found them!

This place has saved our bacon several times when conflicting schedules have made taking care of…read moreour fur baby a little dififcult. My Petropolis is the pet friendly creation of a few former vet techs who wanted to bring their experience and love of animals to a business of their own focused on caring for local cats and dogs. When we're in a bind we will typically call ahead a day or two ahead of time and make a reservation for Opie. To date we've never had an issue making a booking and our little guy loves it so much that he can't wait to get out of the car when we pull up. Prices are really fair with cats going for $20 for a full day on single purchase and $36 for a full day single purchase for your dog. There are significant price savings if you purchase either a 5, 10 or 20 stat package (as much as $8/day). The team here is great and we always feel comfortable leaving the little dude here.

Chevy literally got his own room all to himself, not a cage or a tiny cubicle-like space that other boarding places offer. The little room was full of climbing equipment and a 2 story sleeping area and in addition to our own blankets, he was given a fresh comforter to sleep on. Highly recommend this place not only for boarding but also for dog grooming and daycare, my friend loves them too and brings her dog there regularly. Also check out their little shop!

My dog got fractured toe…read more I initially heard about them through another person at the dog park and then took my two jack Russells to them. They agreed to give me a deal since I had two dogs and that I travel frequently because of my work. Over the different times they had my dogs they never had any concern in any regard about my dogs. I liked them personally and the fact that they were open to raw diet for dogs. However the last time she said that they have been busy and need to raise the price just before dropping them off. I said we can talk about it aftwards since for this time we agreed on the usual price. After I picked them up, she said she won't be able to have my dogs due to them barking which she has never mentioned before. And right after I bring my dog home I notice that she is limping I contacted her right away asking if anything happened while they were there and she said no following with mentioning their policy. I took my puppy to vet and found out her toe is broken. Not that they didn't take responsibility for that his husband called me a challenging client and that somehow I forced them to agree with the deal they were giving me which was not true and so irrelevant to the issue that was happening. I am glad their business is doing good but as I told them the only reason someone's pet service business can get better is due to a good service and clients refferal which I even referred them to others myself. But to maintain the good service you should accept enough clients that you can give proper care and service to. I was not at her place to be able to say what exactly happened but my dog was fine when she went there and she ended up with broken toe after I picked her up. This is simply a poor service and the way they went about it was very very disappointing. From the way they have been responding they will not take responsibility for it or cover the costs. I will manage to cover the costs and she will be fine eventually but I don't know how they will deal with their conscious knowing this happened there under their supervision due to whatever factor it was. The sad part is that she keeps saying she didn't see anything or notice anything or didn't even see she was limping. The fact that she was too busy perhaps that couldn't even notice the limping worries me. I will defiantly not take my dogs there and would not recommend their services to anyone.

The attention to detail, safety, and socialization was really impressive. It was also great that we could use them as-needed. When we were calling around to other places, alot of them had contracts and packages you had to buy to use them. Plus the rates at Metro Dog Stop were really reasonable. My boyfriend only has his dog every few weeks or so, so this was perfect! They also have a really great pick-up & delivery service! We found that out once our work schedules changed and taking the dog to daycare in the morning became impossible. But they have walkers that will come get your dog and bring them to and from the daycare, which was a lifesaver! And over the summer our dog picked up kennel cough at a park, and we were worried about him not being able to go to daycare while we were at work. But they arranged for a walker to come over and do private walks with him during the day, so he still got out and had some company! The customer service is really great and they really care about the dogs. The staff have all been fantastic, our dog comes home happy & tired from playing all day when he's there, and best of all he's always super excited to go there...which is the best evidence of all that it's a great place.
