My dog used to be really shy, but now he runs inside without even looking back at me. That says everything about how great this place is. We LOVE Dog's Day Farm! They are wonderful! Our dog loves to go there and can barely wait to get out of the car before she starts running off to play with her friends. We do the "day" playgroup each week and she stays there whenever we go away. I am very particular about who I would leave my dog with and when I leave her with DDF, I pretty much don't think twice about her while I am gone. The staff are great and they always send updates and pictures and I can see that she's having a blast. The owner's Kelly and Matt are great, too. I have had questions about my dog being a bit of a picky eater and Kelly has been so patient answering my questions and reassuring me how to handle this. Dogs Day Farm is a dog wonderland for dogs like my dog that love to play with other dogs, get loving and careful attention from humans, and have safe access to lots of fun things. My dog was timid and scared at first, and my son has a couple of dogs that can be exuberantly enthusiastic. The staff understood the differences and did an amazing job helping all of the dogs adapt. When I arrive, my dog eagerly trots to the gate and can't wait to join his friends. When I pick him up, he is happy to see me, but does not want to leave the farm. While he is there ,I get daily updates and amazing pictures. My dog is a rescue, and it is so hard to find a place where he has 24 hour access to people, indoor space with all kinds of dog friendly toys, furniture, and comforts, fresh water, and outdoor places to run and play. It is obvious that the entire staff is well trained, kind and, loving with the dogs. Dog's Day has been a game changer for me and my dog! I was very concerned bringing him to daycare as he has already had two elbow surgeries (he's a year and a half old) and the staff has been wonderful about monitoring him, giving him breaks and giving him medication as needed. They are always communicative and I love getting picture updates during the day! I've been using them for farm trips where they pick the dogs up and drop them off and it's the perfect amount of exercise and socialization for my dog! In my wildest, most doggie obsessed dreams, I literally could imagine a more perfect place for dogs. From the moment we stepped foot on "The Farm," we knew it was a very special place. Our first visit was "The Interview" which was a chance for them to get to know our dog and her temperament. Matt met us this first day, slowly and thoughtfully introduced our dog to some other friends who were already there, and patiently answered my questions about The Farm. I learned more about this magical place where the dogs run free, have ample cozy indoor space for bad weather and rest time, and safety and communication are paramount. They are methodical and purposeful in the best of ways. When she was deemed a good fit, I was thrilled. Over the next several months, we brought her to daycare about half a dozen times. For each visit, I received incredibly kind, reassuring, helpful feedback about how our dog was doing, in addition to the most insanely wonderful photos of our girl living her best life. Last night, our dog spent her first night at the Farm. And although she had some separation anxiety, we could not be more happy with how Dog's Day Farm Handled it. They excel in three very important qualities that are incredibly rare with other facilities: excellent communication, incredibly warm and well-trained staff, and a serious love of all dogs-- including yours. Even though my girl's first night was not the best, they made it clear that they want to do everything they can to make her comfortable on her next visit. Her happiness and well-being  (AND mine) is their number one priority. When I met with Jenna this morning, she was warm and encouraging, offering myriad suggestions for how we can make our dog more comfortable for her next stay. I could not have more confidence in this group of wonderful humans to take the most extraordinary care of my dog-- and all the others lucky enough to walk through those farm gates. From the idyllic setting to the loving staff to the professionally run facility, Dog's Day Farm is truly heaven on earth for pets. I am so happy to have found this place. I have a 2 year old abused rescue that was very skittish, and very unsocial when I first brought him here, almost a year ago. It took awhile for him to want to even go in. Now he loves going and can't wait to get in side and play. So far I have only begun to experience Dog's Day, and I love what I've gotten so far. It was recommended to me by a friend who sends her dog there regularly. She loves that it is really a place FOR dogs. Her dog loves going there and comes home to her happy. They don't crate the dogs all day and give them short periods of exercise. They let the dogs in the giant high fenced yard to run and play together and inside they roam around the office. Needless to say, the dogs must be good with people and dogs. Inside the dogs roam around and the staff works with them and around them. It's like being at home. So my experience has begun with calling them to get advice on some good, positive reinforcement dog trainers. Matt took my call and spent over ten minutes giving me ideas and leads based on our needs. If the experience there is anything like my experience with their business before even having set foot on the property it's going to be amazing. He mentioned they also have staff who do in home care for dogs if the dog isn't necessarily a good fit for the day care. So please patronize them! I cannot say enough superlatives about Dog's Day! It is a beautiful facility that is designed and laid out for the dog's comfort and health. DD has three large completely enclosed grassy areas for the dogs to play in. At night the dogs are inside what is essentially a doggy living room with beds couches and blankets. The staff love dogs - they are knowledgeable caring and friendly. They are highly observant of your dog's health and social behavior. There were 8 dogs when we visited - the most noticeable thing was the dogs were all calm and happy. That is the vibe at Dog's Day and it permeates the dogs and the staff. I have had dogs all my life (69 years). Dog's Day is by far the best Boarding facility I have used. This is a very special and unique place. read more

I love Dog's Day! I can't say enough wonderful things about Matt and Kelly Brown. They are truly outstanding people- parents, animal lovers, and business owners. I have worked with them for over 2 years now, and entrusted them with my dog Honey at least 4 times. Some more info- About the owners- they are the type of people that make you believe in altruism. They are so genuinely friendly and outgoing that it still continues to astound me to this day. Kelly spends a tremendous amount of time with dogs, and I still see her face light up when she sees cute doggy pictures and memes. Perhaps more amazing, is their unparalleled work ethic! They are always on the move, always accomplishing some task. There are a lot of dirty and off-putting responsibilities that come with a business like this, and they shoulder the burdens even when I'm around (anyone else would leave the grunt work to the grunts)! The business- many companies will promise you 3 hours or three breaks from their kennel. Not this one. The dogs go wherever and whenever they want on the property, and they are always under careful supervision. This is a very successful company (often at capacity), and there is good reason for it! Personally, I like to run with the dogs until they get tired and nap, then move from dog to dog, providing individualized attention. Just come for an interview and see for yourself. read more

Dog's Day is the absolute best! We've been taking our 5-year-old lab, Khloe there for almost a year now. I work mostly from home, but when I need to go to the office this is my go-to. The staff is extremely friendly and responsive, and the best part is that they send daily pictures. Some of the best pictures I have of Khloe are from Dog's Day! Finally we have found THE place to take our sweet dog. We both have jobs so rather than leaving him alone during the day we have looked and tried and looked again and tried again to find a place where the dogs are allowed to run and play outside all day instead of being kept inside and we found it at Dog's Day. In the initial meeting Matt(co-owner along with his wife) met us and showed us around. We brought our pup in and Matt gradually had someone let one dog and then another dog out into the yard to see how they were together and then another etc. Soon, J was playing with about 8 other dogs and having the time of his life. They have a lot of staff who all seem to really love playing with the dogs. What I really appreciate about the pricing structure is that it is a flat fee, there is no extra charge for potty walks or extra play time. It is perhaps a little higher in price than some places BUT I don't even give it a second thought because of the quality of care and atmosphere. For J to be able to be outside any time during the day and to run as much as he wants is all we want. Oh, and by the way, he is exhausted when we pick him up! Nice. Matt and Kelly offer a fabulous boarding service. They clearly bring a great deal of knowledge to pet care, and, just as importantly, care for the well-being of the dogs they watch. Our 1yr old energetic German Shepherd spent five days at Dog's Day and was in great spirits when we picked her up; not the least bit stressed or anxious. She's not exactly low-maintenance at this stage, but Matt and Kelly embraced her playfulness and obviously gave her plenty of attention. I have been taking my golden retriever there for about 3 years, and she is now well-socialized for both people and other dogs. Dog's Day Farm is truly a hidden gem that I am so glad I stumbled upon. My dog Nugget is about 1.5 years old and has a bit of separation anxiety along with being a bit shy around new dogs. Matt guided me through the entire process from setting up the evaluation, filling out the necessary forms, and engaging with me the entire time during Nugget's orientation. A slow introduction was done with the other day care kiddos which helped to put my girl at ease. Within a few short minutes Nugget was running around the farm happy as could be. The following day I signed Nugget up for day care and I got several updates with pictures letting me know how my girl was doing. We LOVE Dog's Day, and Matt and Kelly; more importantly, our dog loves them, too. They are a wonderful family who know dogs. The initial introduction of our dog to the pack was incredibly well-orchestrated: all had plenty of time and opportunity to become comfortable with one another, and for us to see the property and the house. The dogs have lots of room to roam in the large back yard and inside of the house--no kennels, lots of comfy pet beds and bowls of water, and a movie room where the pack relaxes. Dogs know good people, and I trust my dog's response to this family. She perks up when we get close to their house; and when we happened to run into Matt on the road one day, Juno nearly wagged herself to pieces, she was so happy to see him. First time my almost 1 year old puppy has not slept at home. Took me and my son several months to research where he should stay. Last minute we canceled a place we found on rover and chose Dog's Day. We read every review and it had no impact on what we decided, things happen and we choose what we think is best for our little one.This was the only place my puppy did not have to be crated at night while he slept! They had several places your dog can choose to sleep, That was very important to my family. When we visited for the first time with Ganta (my dog) the owner was very careful on how he introduced my dog with other dogs (evaluation process) they had walkie talkies and video monitors. My dog has never played with other dogs prior except for puppy kindergarten, so i was very nervous something bad would happen (Everything turned out GREAT). I was gone for 7 days. I received daily pictures with a text message on how he was doing. We all ran to the phone to see/read. That was amazing!! I was super worried he would miss us and get depressed. He had a blast! He ran for the first time off leash in a gated farm area TONS of space for him to just run and play with other friendly dogs. I recommend this place for your dog.. go get evaluated and see for yourself! read more

I do not know who the hell you think you are Matt or Kelly, but we have every right to negatively review your business or any other business for that matter! It would be one thing if our review was false, but any way you look at it YOU KILLED OUR DOG BAILEY while he was in your care. Nothing you say or do changes that. You should not be "shocked" that we would give you a negative review. Both of you must truly be delusional to think that we would just quietly go away after you KILLED BAILEY! As for your claims that you are such a great family with integrity, well, we beg to differ on that one as well. You have the nerve to email us about how killing OUR dog has affected YOU? Really? Are you that narcissistic? How dare you even suggest or rather, command, that we take down our review? You must be kidding if you think that is going to work. As a matter of fact, we are more than willing to use your own words and emails against both of you to show just what kind of people you really are. Someone with integrity, as you claim to have, does not harass a family after they KILLED their dog. 2 years ago today, I was Downtown in DC in a training course for work and got a call from Theresa. I will never forget my shock and panic from her voice and being upset. Bailey, our 5 year old black lab in 2012 got hit by his handlers truck by the very same person supposed to take care of him while at dog day care racing after other dogs running off too far on a farm. He did not make it, was hit in the head and was told he probably was knocked out if not felt any pain from the impact. I will truly miss my spinning 4 legged boy. WE TRUSTED THEM AND HE STILL LET THEM OFF LEASH, no fenced in area like he does now. HE USED HIS TRUCK TO GO AFTER THE DOGS...SERIOUSLY ???? SOMEONE HAS NO CONTROL OF THE DOGS, LET A LONE GET IN A TRUCK AND CRUSH MY DOGS SKULL and waited about an hour before calling my wife. I still to this day do not know how he went to the vet and he still did not have the other dogs in his possession with HIM BEING THE ONLY ONE THERE and still manage to race to the vet. DOES NOT MAKE SENCE AND LIES AFTER LIES. IT IS TRULY AMAZING all his reviews on his Facebook page are 5 stars, really ??? ONLY the ones he chooses are on there, not even a 3 or 4 star....let alone my dogs death and no mention of him making a mistake before and taking care of the issue as best as he can. Our dog Lily always figures out where we are going while we are on our way and she gets so excited that she tries to jump through the window of our car to get there faster. When we finally arrive, whoever is holding her leash has to run to keep up with her because she can't wait to get inside. All of the staff at Dog's Day are dog lovers. They send frequent photos and videos so that we can see Lily having a wonderful time both inside and outside within their large fenced in area. When Lily has slept overnight at Dog's Day, she watches tv with the family and sleeps in bed with any family member she wishes to stay with. We never have to worry about her being alone or scared or in a crate at an institutional boarding facility. The owners, Matt and Kelly, are responsible, flexible, and always willing to take our calls and answer any questions we may have. They have given Lily eye drops and medications when necessary. I never thought that I could have such peace of mind leaving our beloved girl, and I am so grateful that a place like Dog's Day exists for us. read more
