Before ordering, I checked the website to ensure I knew what to expect. I asked the man behind the counter about the difference between small and regular sizes. Initially, I went for a small, but I changed to regular, and I'm glad I did because the serving was much smaller than what the website suggested. Even the regular size was underwhelming. It's also an extra $1 for toppings like chocolate dipping, but I skipped that since the sticks already come with powdered sugar. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the final product and presentation. The portion in my cup was nowhere near what I expected from the menu photos. It felt like a letdown, especially for the price. The small funnel cake sticks are around $5 and the large is $6, not including tax. Service was good, though--the man behind the counter was nice and informative. The funnel cake sticks did take a while to make, about 7-10 minutes. As for the location, it's in the mall food court, so there's not much aesthetic appeal aside from their bold branding in red, blue, and yellow. I probably wouldn't order this item again, but service-wise, everything was fine.

It's real and right at the Montebello Town Center! Open 11am-8pm in the food court, you can order in person or on the app. I recommend the App if you like being deals and discounts. When you sign up, they give you $3 off $10 right on jump. I went with the 2 Stick Combo (which will save you 50 cents, yes I'm the coupon coueen today apparently) and snagged an American Cheese and a Nathan's Famous all beef dog. I must admit, I wish the outer crisp was a bit more crispy. And the flavor was pretty standard on both the shell and fillings for a corndog. The American Cheese was an admittedly boring choice but I still somehow ended up being underwhelmed. Not quite as ooey and gooey as I had hoped for. And then Nathan's Hot Dog was good, of course, but they claim to be punny saying their the 'top dog'. I would go more mid level for them. I also tried their Blue Raspberry Jolly Rancher Lemonade (which cost an extra dollar for the flavoring, hmph!) and goodness, I can't handle that artificial sweet taste anymore. I loved those things when I was kid, lol. The person working was super nice and friendly though! And love all the colorful and fun packaging. I won't be running back for more stick dogs any time soon though.

My boyfriend and I decided to eat inside so we could enjoy our meal fresh and hot. While ordering my food, I immediately noticed the adorable cow plushies displayed in the glass case near the front counter. I was so curious and had to ask if they were available for purchase. Our food came out quickly and everything tasted delicious, just as expected. The employees were all very friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our visit. After we finished eating, I finally asked about the plushies. They had three different ones available, but unfortunately the one I wanted was out of stock. However, one of the employees offered me a completely different plushie that wasn't even on display and I had to buy it lol. Overall, I had a great experience dining in. The service was excellent, the food was fresh and tasty, and I really appreciated how clean and well-maintained the restaurant was. I'd definitely come back to dine in again and maybe even see what other plushies they have next time!

So we go the chopping it up about what's nearby. I got the talmbout what was in Alhambra and he tells me about Jim's Burger in Rosemead which was right down the street. Said he's been going since a kid. I knew where it was cuz I had seen it last week lol. So he then tells me about the "Famous Pollo Loco Plate" and im like, "shyt I gotta try that" lol. Checked em' out on Yelp. Saw good reviews and nice pics of the "Pollo Loco Plate". So when lunch came I clocked out and slid down the street to Jim's. Immediately noticing 2 pickup trucks in their lot so I pulled around in the lot and parked in between both trucks. About to small to medium sized parking lot. And it's Drive-thru accessible for those of you who choose not to get out of their vehicle. Parking lot was clean. Classic burger stand/restaurant. It is well kept and clean inside the establishment. I noticed some guys sitting down eating what it appears to be the "Pollo Loco". And it was some of the workers from back at the job lol. I received nothing but an outstanding and awesome quality service. Both employees were welcoming, friendly, and professional. The cook, Peto. That's my guy !!! Ask or look for him if you're there. Order came out fresh and fast. Waited about like 9 mins in the car until Peto flagged me down to come grab my food from the drive thru window instead of going inside lol. I'm here for an unexpected and helluva experience so it was all good with me. Took my pics right there and everythang lol. But yeah tho, the food is and was very delicious, flavorful, hot and inexpensive. Marinated 1/2 chicken French fries Salad (lettuce, tomatoes and dressing) 2 garlic rolls Total = $15.33 I have no complaints.

I entered the drive-thru and waited about four seconds before an employee greeted me over the intercom. WOW! That was quick--I love it! I ordered two grilled chicken BBQ sandwiches and a bottle of orange juice. When I drove up to the window to pay, a restaurant manager told me they were out of orange juice and apologized, but mentioned there were several other options. I chose a bottle of water and waited three or four minutes for the manager to hand me my food. The manager was extremely polite, welcoming, and friendly. The grilled chicken burgers were EXCELLENT! The chicken was grilled to perfection, the lettuce was fresh and crunchy, and the tomato, BBQ sauce, and sourdough bread were just right, making my lunch a great experience. The exterior of the restaurant was well-maintained, clean, and all the surrounding shrubs looked green and healthy.

He…read morewas cool, said it was even better than the Famous Star, and explained it comes with Thousand Island dressing. Fair enough--I figured I'd switch things up. Strike one: they were out of Fanta. Not the end of the world, but disappointing when that's what I always get. Then came the Big Carl. I know fast-food burgers never look exactly like the pictures, but wow... this thing was sad. The patty was dry and overcooked, and the biggest mystery was the Thousand Island dressing. I opened the burger, saw cheese, lettuce, meat, and started playing detective trying to find the sauce. Was it there? Did it evaporate? Was it absorbed into the overcooked patty? Nobody knows. The employee was great, but the burger definitely wasn't. If this was supposed to convince me to leave the Famous Star behind, it did the exact opposite. Disappointing meal, and enough to make me think twice about coming back to this Carl's Jr. in Montebello.
