Our first visit to Doggy Land Grooming was a great experience. My mini Morkie was shaky and fearful but Brenda put her right at ease with cuddles and her calming nature. This place is amazing! This was the first time taking me dog and my sister's dog and we are definitely coming back! My dog gets extremely matted due to her fur type and this place did a fantastic job cutting her hair and bathing her. He smells great and has the cutest bows in her hair! The price was awesome! Took my "matted" 9-month-old Bichon Frise to Brenda today. Allow me to say that she did an outstanding job grooming Isaac! I was truly impressed with how attentive and thorough she was. I discussed my concerns with her, which she immediately addressed in her plan. She gave me a quote and an honest response but reassured me that she will do her best for Isaac. She went the extra mile and transformed my beloved baby into a handsome model. Check out the pictures I attached. When I received Isaac, he looked calm, happy, and impeccable! He even got a super cute tie from Brenda. His perianal, perigenital, and nails were perfectly cleaned/trimmed. Matted areas were gone! Isaac was back to his clean pure white fur compared to being so dirty when I first dropped him off. UNBELIEVABLE! Most importantly, it is Brenda's attitude and professionalism that stood out the most for me. We felt so welcomed, heard, and accommodated at this place! So I have a anxious aggressive pitbull mix. Shes been rejected from 1 vet and 2 groomers. I have a toddler and a newborn on the way and wanted to get her clean. Doggyland was very nice on the phone and understanding. They told me that they occasionally take rejects from other groomers and would be happy to try as long as I put a muzzle on her. They advised me to bring her in during their down time so other dogs wouldn't be present and asked me to leave her with them. I was so nervous but I did just that. When I returned a couple hours later I was shocked to find my baby clean and happily following one of the staff members with her muzzle off. The worker told me that she growled a bit during her nail cutting but was so good after they had to take it off and showered her with treats. I went to this place and we asked for a trim for my Pomeranian, and as we all know they are fluffy. We asked for a TRIM and when we got our dog back, he had no hair AT ALL, I don't know how someone can make such a big mistake between a trim and cut. I'm truly disappointed at this establishment for not knowing that Pomeranians hair doesn't grow back, a Pomeranian has three layers and if cut to it's last layer, the hair will no longer grow; and no, our dogs hair was NOT matted. It's been more than a year and he still has NO hair on his back Because of this place. The OWNER of this place claimed to knew nothing or how to find the record, when my mom remembered the girls name he said "oh well, she's not here", In a relieved tone. I began taking her here and she would come back the happiest ever. They made her feel extremely comfortable and treated her with so much love. Fast forward, unfortunately she passes away. However, I returned back when I got my maltipoo, Toto. Toto loves going to get groomed! Although I don't take him often, they always remember him when he goes and treat him so good. They never have any problems w/Max! It only takes them 5 minutes for Max. Little Nikki is the squirmy one.. takes a couple minutes longer to trim her nails! Doggy Land Grooming is near the McDonald's on Florence & Lakewood Blvd. They keep their store very clean and sell cute items in their shop.
