This was Oreo's first time at Bigdogsandcats. He is a very anxious dog and difficult to groom. At other grooming places they have not done a good job specifically on his paws and legs because of that. Jessica was very patient with him. He came out impecable. read more

I called Bigdogsandcats because it's very hard to find groomers willing to bathe and groom a cat, let alone a senior cat like Thomas. This service is mobile which is great for reducing the stress level for an animal, and they got right down to business. The groomer did such a fantastic job, best lion cut that Thomas has ever received! I will definitely use this service again. read more

Long over due review but, a well deserved one! To put in short words, LOVED ! I have a Senior golden retriever that hates strangers touching her and is highly anxious. We communicated well about expectations. Nala is a sensitive girl, i can usually tell when shes happy, mad or sad as all dog parents can tell. Anyways lol let me tell you, Nala was so happy when she came back. I was in shock lol I can tell they treated her with care. And of course Nala came back looking like a cutie Highly recommend !! Will continue to hire them as long as nala looks happy. read more

This was our first grooming experience for our beloved American Eskimo, Fresita, and everything went smoothly! Booking was easy, drop-off was seamless, and I was able to text photos of the haircut I wanted. I also appreciated being able to pay through Zelle. They even offer 20% off your first service. Fresita's groomer, Susan, did a wonderful job -- she looks beautiful! Thank you, we'll definitely be coming back for all of Fresita's grooming needs. read more

Wow! They did such an amazing job on my 2 dogs. Definitely worth the price. I have a Husky mix and a Maltese mix. The groomers took their time. They pay attention to detail and you can tell that they care about the dogs they are grooming. My Husky is 13 and picky about his paws. His nails look the best I've ever seen them. Clean and super friendly. Will definitely be coming back on a regular basis. read more

Great first experience! I saw their mobile van grooming my neighbors dog and I sent them a text inquiring about grooming my dog. Heard back shortly thereafter and was able to get him groomed the same day! The groomer did a wonderful job, listened to what I wanted and my dog came back looking great! The last groomer I had tried kept my dog in a crate which I didn't like. I love the individualized attention from this mobile groomer. Will definitely book again. read more

Absolutely Fantastic Grooming Experience! I brought my two cats in for a much-needed haircut, and the team did an outstanding job! Both of my furry babies came out looking sleek, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The groomers were so gentle and patient with my cats (who can be a little dramatic about grooming), and they handled them with such care and expertise. The cuts are perfectly even, the mats are completely gone, and my cats seem so much happier and lighter now. No stress, no scratches, and they even smelled fresh and wonderful afterward! Huge thank you to the entire grooming team you clearly love what you do and it shows. I'll definitely be back for their next trim. Highly recommend this pet shop to anyone looking for quality, stress-free cat grooming! 5 stars all the way! read more

I loved the mobile service! Diana did an AMAZING job on our sweet Luna! I appreciate the ease of communication with the Company, and everyone was very kind and understanding. Sidenote: I have a problematic neighbor who tends to complain about anything and everything, and Diana spoke to her with grace. Also, Luna always gets anxious when I drive her to grooming appointments, and wants to run out when I pick her up. This was the FIRST time Luna came back calm and happy! She even wanted to leave with Diana, which made me so glad to see because I knew Luna felt safe with her. I have already made another appointment for my sweet girl, and I will continue to use this service with Big Dog and Cats! You guys are awesome!! Thank you so much. read more

They took about a ton of hair off my cat. She felt so much better. Ordinarily, she'd be mad I put her through this, but they were gentle with her and she was so happy to get all that hair off I could tell she was relieved and happy. Happy cat, happy life. read more

Bigdogsandcats did a fantastic job on two of our cats. We use to bathe our pets at one time but it's turning into a mega chore. Our senior cat has a suuper thick coat that he tries to groom himself and we try to help him out as well with. He's fairly calm & chill, but with his age, history of health issues and elevated blood pressure that's controlled by meds..we wanted a professional to really clean him up to feel fresh & ready for the warm summer days so he doesn't overheat and gather up more dust & pollen that affects his breathing. We weren't sure how he'd react going to the groomer for a bath, full hair cut and nail trim. We brought him in with a choppy thick coat (our attempt at removing his matts from when he was ill and couldn't groom himself) and had all sorts of pollen, dust, probably leaves etc that our indoor/outdoor kitty gathers up on his coat as he roams and rolls around our yard....When we got to the groomer, the lady was so friendly and seemed to know how to gain our cat's trust. We brought our cat in on a leash with a harness but also brought the carrier as instructed. Our cat came back in a little over an hour. He was resting calmly in the carrier. And he calmly sat on their lobby couch, not panting, moaning or anything. He seemed very relaxed. His stress levels were my biggest concern and he appeared fine. He ate, drank, played and napped as he always does right after and seemed to be extra playful having lost some hair weight maybe. ...The lion cut was exactly what we wanted for him. He smelled so fresh and felt so clean. We will definitely bring him back without hesitation. The groomer was so kind & gentle with him and they communicated very well with us via text. read more

I have three fur babies. I Seen the bigdogsandcats truck in my area which is 90240. My previous groomer is no longer offering grooming service, only self service washing, so I was so happy to see their truck. I texted the number and within minutes I received a very nice text with availability to my liking. What a amazing job they did, it's been over a month and fur baby still looks great. I bought my second fur baby and she looks so wonderful also, the grooming is right on point. Don't take my word for it, look at the description of what the service includes you will be surprised. They are located on the other side of Downey, I don't mind it's still in Downey. They have a mobile service also to go your home. Call and Make an appointment and you will be just as happy As I am and my fur babies are. They feel and look so clean and feel so special. Thank you Bigdogsandcats for the care and love you show my babies and I will see you on our next appointment.. read more

I am beyond happy to have found this mobile groomer. I had been struggling to find a good groomer that I could trust since my last one was closed down due to a fire and this one does not disappoint. All of the groomers and staff are super nice and friendly and patient with my senior dogs Ulysses and George. George is over 17 years old and has been slowing down, so it warms my heart seeing how gentle they are with him. I have gone to them many times and the experience is always great!
