He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. Even his dog walker said he has really improved and she did not know he was training.

We rescued our pittie, Tilly, in Pennsylvania after she had been left outside for seven months and…read morewithout food for at least several weeks. After spending two weeks with us there, we drove with her to Florida, where we are living for four months. Tilly is incredibly sweet, but she struggled with pulling on the leash, barking, reactivity, and listening. She also had no door manners when guests arrived. We reached out to Avi, and he responded immediately, offering guidance and--most importantly--hope. We saw results during Avi's very first visit, where we focused on confident loose-leash walking and door manners. Over the course of the month, not only did Tilly's confidence soar, but our confidence as handlers improved dramatically as well. We can now walk Tilly confidently on a loose leash, and she truly is a perfect lady. She reliably "leaves" high-value toys and treats when directed and has shown tremendous improvement at the door. While we are still working on her stay and recall, Avi gave us the tools and knowledge to continue mastering those skills.
