Our first encounter was for a quick tour and a day session where Ledo got a chance to try out the facility. Dogwood sits on the outskirts of Baltimore City and has so much space that he comes home exhausted whenever I pick up Ledo. Since that first time, we had boarded him twice, and each time, we could not be any happier than to see Ledo so happy. The Lodge offers grooming services; in fact, if your pet stays for a certain period of time, they will get a bath. Anytime we send Ledo there, I make sure that he gets a bath and a nail trimming because yes, my dog does deserve to get pampered as much as his owner. The staff is completely professional from when I drop Ledo off to the time I pick him up. When I took the tour, I was told that there is somebody on the premises 24 hours/day as there is somebody that lives on the premises. My take, if you live in the Baltimore area, this is the place to go if your pooch needs a getaway.

Although very nice and professional-sounding over the phone ahead of my cats and my arrival, when I met him, it was a completely different story. I'm not sure exactly what I did to bother him - when we got to the basement room in his house in which he keeps cats - I began to set up my kitties' things as a convenience to him. But shortly after I left, he called me in a rage, yelled, swore at me, and threatened to put my cats out on the street. I tried to ask what I'd done to make him so mad, but he hung up on me and wouldn't pick up again. When I finally got back to the house shaken, my poor, shy cat had had a bucket of water dumped on her and was crying. Jakob's stepdad helped me pack up my kitties' things and gave me some cash in exchange for some of their food I'd brought over earlier and couldn't find. I could tell he was accustomed to Jakob behaving in this manner and he was nice and apologetic, and gave me his business card. Even so, this was a nightmare of a time, especially considering the reason I needed to board my cats, which was that I needed to immediately evacuate a house that I'd learned was unsafe and wasn't able to bring my cats with me to the place I'd be staying at until I could find a new one. Jakob was aware of this situation and did what he did anyway. Funnily enough, shortly after I posted this review, a bunch of fake, RAVING PRAISE reviews were written about this "business," and they were all in the "Not Recommended" reviews section, because they probably figured out that Jakob himself wrote them (they all said one way or another "JAKOB especially was so awesome." He tries to accomodate all of our requests, which is pretty amazing given how nitpicky our cats are. I never realized this until I had to leave instructions for him... We have had a great experience with Luv My Pet. We have a rescue Chihuahua with an abusive past who…read morehas some trouble trusting people, and he can be... a bit grumpy with strangers. We work long hours and were wary about scheduling walks with a service, but Kaitlyn from Luv My Pet has been so patient and loving with our guy (even though he sometimes barks at her), and their daily walks have really helped to socialize him. She even gets him to cuddle with her on occasion! We get a text message from Kaitlyn every day after their walk to let us know how he did, and sometimes we get pictures. Scheduling is so easy and convenient. We just email Jeff our schedule every month, he immediately sends us an invoice, and we pay online -- including a tip for Kaitlyn. Whenever something comes up, like if my work schedule suddenly changes or I stay home sick, I just text Kaitlyn to let her know. We are moving out of the area and are crushed that we can no longer use Luv My Pet for our pup. We would recommend their services to anyone in the city!

Beware...my anxious dog was under Ashley's care for training and boarding while I was out of town…read more I asked her to let me know if my pup didn't settle in and I would have someone pick her up. Well, I get a call on the last day of my trip saying my dog vomited and had an accident in the crate overnight. I had someone go pick her up immediately and the poor pup was visibly traumatized. She was pooping blood and they never told me that. We had to go to an emergency vet. My pup obviously didn't settle in nicely yet I wasn't called until she was so traumatized, she was physically sick. My dog had never, ever vomited, pooped In her crate nor pooped blood before. it took us weeks for her to feel safe again...she hid under the sofa for days. Dog training should not be fear based...it's based on trust. I can't take my dog back there for the rest of the lessons after what they put her through and Ashley won't return my money for the unused lessons. So wrong on so many levels. Beware.
