When my pup was younger, I needed help with getting her socialized and got her started at The Dog Republic in OC... it was a game changer. Eventually I moved a few times before coming to LA where I found out they now had an LA location. My girl may not be a pup anymore, but her energy says otherwise and she make sure you know she needs if she hasn't had enough exercise and socialization. The Dog Republic LA is amazing! Pack walks, day care, overnight boarding, AND they do local pickup and dropoff on weekdays which iykyk. Even scheduling is easy because they have an app. The app has their daily report card and pics of their shenanigans. The staff is so friendly and love pupster like family. The manager is amazing and communicative; I appreciate the extra effort to accommodate last minute requests when life throws hurdles. I used to dread boarding because there would be a parking lot meltdown, but now she's so excited to go play and chill. The employees at Dog Republic go above and beyond for your pet. The first time we left our dog here for a longer stay, they called and told us that he was refusing to eat. We told them that he would never refuse a boiled egg, so they offered to buy a carton, and then they boiled eggs for him for the remainder of our time away. One great perk: they send pictures of your dog at the end of every day of their stay, so you can see what your pet got up to while you weren't around. The best part? In our first call with the manager, she claimed to know nothing about the presence of shock collars on site. This seems extremely unlikely give how worn the collar was that we found. We were also were repeatedly assured that our dog was doing "AMAZING" when we called, so she was doing so "amazing" that she ended up in a shock collar? We noticed her temperament being off after coming back from a previous weekend here, and we feel like we were never given accurate information about what was happening on the site. I can't say enough good things about Dog Republic, the entire staff and the facility. I heard about DR from my good friend who also takes her pup there, so it was a no brained. Marley has been coming here since a puppy, and always has a good time. The staff is super responsive, and after each day at camp I get photos of her day and a report card. About a month ago, was the first time Marley spent the night and the staff kept in touch with me throughout her stay which made me feel better leaving her as I felt bad. Now, she's staying for a 3 nighter over the holidays. Personal opinion - Disregard the 2 star review, I don't think it's fair to rate a business based on the trash/cleanliness of Venice Blvd, as I'm sure most (if not all) of DR's clients can attest their facility is always kept clean. We LOVE dog republic and so does our 6 month old lab puppy, Willow. This morning she jumped out of the car and ran toward the door, tail wagging a million miles an hour. Not only do they take great care of Willow, but she goes on neighborhood pack walks when at daycare too. Willow is blissfully tired when she comes home and always thrilled when she goes back. The employees all know her by name and love on her as much as we do. The manager is super responsive and helpful, too. Definitely recommend if you're looking for daycare in the LA area. read more

I discovered Dog Republic on IG. They actually reached out to me through my dog's IG page lol. We were offered a free evaluation, so I decided to give it a try. During the evaluation, the staff (manager?) observed my pup in the main play area, and then took him for a walk with his 2 dogs. We have been going there since last September, and my dog absolutely loves it there. He does mostly their 1/2 day pack walk. They pick him up in the morning and drop him off in the afternoon. He is well exercised by the time he comes home. The staff always sends report card and pictures from the walk. Another plus is that they take amazing photos of the whole pack of dogs! I don't know how they get the dogs to pose so perfectly. For boarding, we boarded our dog there 3x, 2 one week long trips, and a weekend trip. My dog got to play in the daycare during the day, and rest at night. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog in their care. My dog always looks so happy in the pics, and he rushes to the check in counter when we drop him off. I highly recommend Dog Republic! read more

I was in a bind and the service by the team was extraordinary. I needed a boarding place for my dog for 2 nights pronto. My dog sitter last minute bailed. I had never boarded my dog before. He's a senior, 15 yrs. I was worried how he'd do with the larger dogs. So this place- the staff is really fantastic. They made me feel comfortable and confident that my dog would be safe, well taken care of, and happy. And they delivered. My dog was so happy! They have someone who is there 24hr. The only con- there's no doggie web cam, but the send pictures and if you need them to text you with a check in they can. Pro- they don't charge for the temperament test. They require a little extra further than vaccinations, like current fecal test parasites. Other places I've checked didn't require this but it's a better to have this done I've learned and I appreciate the extra step required. The dogs get long walks and are free to go inside indoors to an area with soft beds. They have boarding and daycare. They took good care of my dog, they followed his feeding routine, restroom routine, and supplement /snack routine. He had such a great time. read more

I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this dog daycare center. The entire team is so genuinely nice, and they all took their time with our nervous dog to help bring him out of his shell. We wanted to work with a personal trainer to help our dog Cosmo feel more confident around other dogs and in new social settings, and the trainer said before we can even begin working together we had to get him into a pack walk and doggy daycare at least 2 days a week and HIGHLY recommended Dog Republic. Needless to say I was still nervous he wouldn't be accepted or he'd hate it so much we'd be told he wasn't a good fit. He very candidly did not love his meet and greet with all the pups, but true to form he wasn't aggressive just scared and tried to hide so the team said he was welcome to come back. They let me know we'd take it one day at a time, he wouldn't go on pack walks before he was ready, and if he really wasn't warming up they'd tell us because they truly want this to be a happy space for all the dogs in the care. His first day of daycare the report came back that he did good, was still scared, didn't join the pack walk, and definitely loves humans. On the second day of daycare he was brave enough to join the pack walk and LOVED it. Fast forward a few weeks to now and he is excited to go to daycare. He loves his walks, his day long games of fetch, and comes home very tired and very happy from a full day of fun. Cosmo is more confident out in public now, and no longer tries to run when he sees a bigger dog, this is exactly what we were hoping for him and more. If you're looking for a daycare center for your dog this is the place. I trust the team completely, my dog is so happy here, and the center is indoor / outdoor so the dogs all have plenty of room to run and play in their preferred environment. Every time I see a new dog at daycare it makes me so happy, I hope this daycare center continues to thrive! read more

My parents and I have been using OC Dog Republic for years for our three dogs as a family. When I moved up to LA with our pup we were looking for the right company to use, but never felt that same spark! When we heard Dog Republic was opening up in LA we felt so excited and honestly extremely relieved. Ever since they opened up, we've been sending Tater Tot off for 3 hour-long pack walks a week, with pickup/drop-off included. The days he's scheduled for a walk are his happiest, as he doesn't have to wait for our work-from-home days to be over in the evening. Hannah and Alina are Tot's usual walkers and they are the sweetest, kindest humans. Tot absolutely adores them and (after he askes for a quick tummy rub) is so excited to go on his walks with them. They even send you an email with pictures when your pup starts and ends their adventure, AND you get a checklist that shows whether they went #1, #2 and had a sip of water. I cannot stress enough how amazing Dog Republic has been to us over the years - easy to reach, an amazing scheduling app, texting back quickly, super reasonable rates, very accomodating - they're just the best in every way and we're so happy Tot has a new Dog Republic family in LA. read more

Let me start by saying I would be lost without the staff at dog republic, once I went back to work my puppy Milo was so used to going on daily adventures and playing it broke my heart to see him stuck at home all day!! They come and pick him up (I'm in Culver City) and drop him off and he either goes on adventures around the city or pack walks on a hike. I was immediately attracted to this place because a good portion of their facility is outdoors and he doesn't come home smelling like pee from being inside a building with a lot of dogs. The staff is super friendly and it's so easy to book through their app and they send a great report card with photos!! can't recommend them enough read more
