Trails were mowed paths that were nice and wide. A good variety of trees led to some beautiful fall colors. I have family in the Cottonwood area so this is a short drive away. Very tranquil and quiet. Not sure how much activity it gets but I'll be coming back for sure :). Also, I didn't look for the official rules but I saw someone with a dog and it looks like a good place to walk your dog so long as their quiet and don't disturb the wildlife ;)

Main St. I was invited here to bowl, but I'll pass and just watch, I'm not much of a bowler at all. But I will take advantage of the snack bar offerings! I can eat while I watch the other people bowl. They have appetizers like chili cheese fries and the like or nachos and stuff like that. I went for a Cheeseburger and fries ($12.99) and a drink. It didn't take long to cook up and it was pretty decent. I had no idea what to think of bowling ally food before this. The fries were hot and crisp and the burger tasty as well, so all's good in my book. They also have pizza and salad here if you want that. Watching my friends bowl, I think knocking down all the pins on the first roll is harder than it looks! Even with a second roll!

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so I had to spend the night before up in Northern California. Robert was in touch during the week, including the night before to coordinate the launch spot. Unfortunately, the fish were not cooperating. We weren't the only ones getting the bad end... all the fly fishing drift boats were also having the same tough fishing conditions. Robert was a master of his craft. He set us up on constant amazing drifts. His boat is really dialed in, and we were able to motor up and hit those perfect drifts more than once on the river. You can't do that on a drift boat. I recommend giving Robert a shot on fishing the Sacramento river up in Redding.
