He's a doodle and had some matting and she was able to shave just where he was matted and leave everything else fairly long (like I asked). Typically when I pick him up from other groomers, he is completely shaved from being matted but not here. He is so soft and fluffy. I also love that they are a stay and play!! So you can drop your dog off at any point, and pick them up at any point during business hours. No late fees, no extra charges!!! I love this- I always hate planning my day around when my dog is going to be ready at other groomers. It seemed like the dogs were just wandering around the grooming area and there was a little area for strictly playing, but it's not like they take them to a separate room or outside, but I still love how they socialize and aren't caged!! It was pricy- at other groomers I have paid $80-$90 for a groom and here it was $105, but that also includes getting to play and socialize for as long as you need, so I think it's worth it!! I will note, they charge a 4% credit card fee if you use one. But they don't if you Venmo or pay cash. We will definitely be back!

At QC Canine Design, they have a great fenced in area with cozy beds where the dogs can lay down or roam around until their owners pick them up. It's perfect! Plus, they're exceptionally talented groomers and manage to use extra care/caution for my old pup who's covered in skin tags and lumps. Other groomers have nicked him and he comes out with a super choppy cut and bloody spots! At QC Canine Design, his cut is GORGEOUS and they're super careful. Do Not Take Your Dog Here!…read more We took our puppy to Modern Pet Salon for the first time because we heard they use scissors instead of clippers, which we thought would be gentler. It turned out to be a terrible mistake. We specifically asked them multiple times not to cut too much of her hair, especially since she doesn't like it, but they insisted she had too many tangles and needed a full trim. Not only did they ignore our request, but they cut our puppy twice, both on her ears--areas where there was no tangled hair at all. They even called us during the appointment to say she was bleeding. Later, they claimed it was because she had an ear hematoma and that they had just trimmed it. That was a complete lie. We took her to the vet, who confirmed that the injury was a fresh cut from grooming and not from any medical condition. She did not have a hematoma. They hurt her, and then tried to cover it up. They also asked us to use an old sock to cover the wound, which felt incredibly unprofessional and careless. Since then, our puppy has been extremely uncomfortable. She keeps shaking her head, clearly bothered by her ears, and she has been very sad and withdrawn. This is the first and only time something like this has ever happened to her. I'm beyond disappointed. Not only should they have never charged us for this awful experience, but they should not be handling dogs, especially sensitive breeds like doodles, if they can't do so safely and honestly. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Please protect your pet and take them somewhere else.

But it truly is great and Nancy knows her stuff. For the first time in my dogs 4 years of life he wasnt butchered or shaved. Nancy did an excellent job actually giving him a "Yorkie" cut. Like other reviewers say, the dogs also get to play during the day, while they get their cuts, which is awesome. I only gave 4 stars, because a few days later my pup was dragging his bum on the floor and I had to take him to the vet to get his anal glands expressed--which was something I thought they did when you have them groomed. Next time, Ill make sure to ask for it.

This is a small business and the two groomers know your dog and treat him like a friend. The groomers are excellent at following your directions and help out with itchy skin. Everytime he emerges a very clean, good looking happy boy.
