I drive an hour to get here because the places closer to me don't pass my inspection. She kennels them across from each other so they can see that their siblings are there with them. When my Chihuahua had gotten bad diarrhea (separation anxiety from me) she called me and allowed me to pick up everyone even though it wasn't a normal pick up schedule and bathed them when they all danced around in the poo. Worth every penny to know my kids are safe and in caring hands while I'm away.

Eventually after dealing with her combative nature , I asked to speak to the owner. The owner was very nice and apologetic, and I informed her how her employee was treating me. I then ended the conversation with the owner and I told the employee that I did not appreciate being talked to in this manner and that her customer service skills were lacking. The elderly woman then laughed out loud. I told her that laughing at a customer was unacceptable. She then said she needed me to come to the back to get one of my dogs because she didn't want to deal with him. I then had to go in the back and bring my dog to the car. When I returned to get their food and belongings she didn't even hand them to me, she just had them lying in the front room. I have never had any prior issues with the owner or Rachel who both do great with my dogs. I will not be returning to Howland Pet Resort if this rude employee continues to work there.

At all other kennels, he would be SO nervous as we pull into the parking lot. He acts as if he is just visiting a friend, when I leave him here... also, he eats normally. At other kennels he was too nervous to eat and I would get back nearly all the food I brought. My pup is a very healthy 13 year old dog, so he has had quite a few years of trying out different kennels. This is the happiest he's ever been at a kennel.

We have been taking our two dogs here now for about the past two years for grooming services. In addition, we have used this place to board our Bernadoodle when we go on summer vacations and take out-of-town trips. The place is always clean and she requires copies of your shot records to make sure your pooch's shots are up-to-date. On one occasion when we picked him up, the owner said she had to throw away his dog bed because he made a mess of it. While I didn't ask, I just assumed he probably tore it up by chewing on it. On our most recent visit just a few weeks ago, she had to throw away the pillow that we left however she did wash the blanket we brought with him because he soiled it. The prices are great and the staff is friendly. Plus, my dog never seems anxious, distraught or unwilling to go with the staff when we drop him off which tells me he is being treated right. We will continue to use their services in the future.

Everything about this seems perfect. I went to tour the facility and was happy with the overall cleanliness and the fact that they separate the small dogs from the larger dogs. Our 2 dogs were able to be kept in the same kennel which was perfect bc our older dog gets a little anxiety when he's alone. We dropped them off on Thursday afternoon and picked them up Monday morning. When we got there our dogs bedding was saturated in urine, water, wet dog food, and possibly feces. Due to the uncleanliness of their bedding after only 4 days, we won't be sending them back when we go on vacation for a week in September. I was pretty disappointed in this since these are by far the best prices around the Youngstown area but I guess you get what you pay for.
