Very spacious and intelligently designed Dog Babysitting place. We have been bringing our 2 medium sized dogs for years, summer and winter. The dogs seem to like the place and never get any anxiety about coming here. The indoor facility has very large enclosures, in two rows, where the dogs face each other, from several meters away. This way, the dogs see each other from a comfortable distance, not just smell. This format sort of gives the dogs entertainment and an opportunity to get to know each other well, before they meet on the playground. The outdoor areaS are also LARGE. The dogs do not get bored or lonely in this place. I like it the most out of all the facilities I have seen. read more

DON'T Leave your dog here under any circumstances! Our dog died right after we picked her up, and Ari's negligence is totally related to the circumstances of her dying. The day before we picked up our dog Ari sent a message asking us to contact him about our dog which we did. He then told us that she was unwell and wanted permission to take her to the emergency vet. We agreed and concurred with paying ALL expenses. Ari called the clinic, opened a file and let us know that she was being admitted at 9 pm. More or less the time my husband was arriving at Pearson from Europe. The clinic confirmed with us that the file was open and they were waiting for Ari to drop her off. Again we confirmed with the clinic we would pay for anything needed. Ari never dropped her off at the clinic. Instead, Ari decided on his own, after agreeing with us to take her in, that it was no longer needed. He never reached out to us to let us know and we thought she was getting medical care. We waited all night to hear from the clinic and it turns out she wasn't even there as we found out when we called the clinic at 8 am. Instead she was in distress suffering without care at this camp. We picked her up first thing in the morning (which is when we found out that Ari decided not to take her to the clinic). Ari didn't even bother to come speak to my husband when he picked her up. An employee came instead and told us our dog had just been tired from playing too much with other dogs (? we had told Ari we did not want this when we first visited) and had a sore leg as a result. She was soon dead. When I finally got the hold of Ari on the phone, a couple of hours after our dog died, he was arrogant and insulted us trying to shift blame for his not taking her to the emergency as he said he would. Ari should read the Ontario law about his duties when taking care of dogs. Our dog had been the most lively, happy, playful, loving dog. I have since found out on google reviews that Ari has a pattern of neglecting dogs. Check it out. We had visited Ari in the Fall and everything seemed fine. The place looked great, he promised great care, to take dogs to the vet if ever there was any concern, even said he takes dogs on one on one walks and that our dogs would not mix with others for play if we did not want that (which we did not). If only Ari had been as prompt taking our dog to the emergency as he was getting us to do an advance partial transfer before we even took in the dogs (he even contacted us before we went there to drop off the dogs asking for his partial pay; he sounded eager to get paid which we can understand, but wish he had been as eager to save our dog's life) things might have ended very differently. read more

We boarded our 2 dogs with Ari whilst on a week long vacation recently. We visited a few days prior to departure to check out the place for ourselves, and were given a tour of the facility by Ari. The place is clean, and well maitained with a couple of nice fenced-in runs. The radiant floor heating in the Kennel itself is a nice touch. Our dogs would spend the time there together in the same Kennel which was important to us. We asked for the dogs to be bathed and nails trimmed, which the groomer did a great job. We picked up our 2 healthy, happy dogs after the vacation and they seemed well cared for. I have no hesitation recommending Dog Days Camp, and will be using them again in the future read more

I had never sent my dog for boarding, and a friend raved about this place. I was nervous because my dog had never gone for boarding. But i really needed someone I could trust. The location is very far from downtown, but what i needed was a safe place for my little guy. I paid for pick up and delivery, and Ari sent a driver to meet me half way. Though it took a few back and forths, and some rescheduling we made it work. He asked me to bring a dog a day earlier so it would be easier for him. I thought nothing of it. During my trip, he sent me a few pictures, but by the end it slowed down. Which I thought was OK, because he was likely busy.His rates were very reasonable $25/day in a cage free environment. When it came time for pick up that's when things changed. We had confirmed and re confirmed I would be picking my dog up on a Sunday. When I called on Saturday, he said he could not drop him off, or even meet me half way, because Sunday's are his day off and cottage traffic is too intense. I was shocked. He wouldn't budge, because he simply didn't want to, even though we made this arrangement a few weeks in advance. He apologized and said they don't do pick up and delivery on weekends and he doesn't know how it slipped though the cracks. He didn't really want to make any adjustments for me. Even though he realized he was at fault for agreeing. He went back on his word. I ended up driving for over 3 hours, after a 3 hour flight when this was not at all apart of my plans. The end of our transaction completely tarnished my experience with this business. I would not be using them again. When it comes to my pet, I cannot risk not getting 100% excellent service. I was very disappointing and will likely be flying with my dog from now on, instead of using any boarding services. read more

Avoid this place at all costs! You just can't trust them. This is an absolutely terrible place. The facility is lovely, but the treatment your pups will receive is atrocious. They were kept inside in a small cage in a Dark, hot, damp, room that stunk to high heaven. None of the food that we provided was given to our pups. They didn't return our dogs as arranged, I had to drive there to pick them up. That's how I got to see the conditions first hand. Ari was so difficult that I had to file a police report! read more

I don't even want to give this place one star! When my family dropped our 8 month old German Shepherd puppy off for one night yesterday, Ari and the camp seemed like a good spot, our dog was running around, wasn't incredibly nervous. We told Ari we weren't sure what time we would be back the next day (today) exactly to pick him up but would be sometime in the afternoon, Ari was fine with this. We supplied the owner with our dogs food, bowls, bedding, and a few bones.When we picked our pup up however it was a different story. Ari was upset that we showed up without calling him first even though that wasn't originally instructed to us. He was very shady. He insisted that he walk down and bring our pup back up to us. He didn't want us to see the condition of his facility. My parents ignored this however. When my parents walked in to pick up our dog, he was sitting in the mud on a cement floor in a small cement cage. All of the things we brought for our pup were still sitting in the plastic bag we brought them all in. The room was filled with the other dogs, completely in the dark. The smell of piss and shit was overwhelming, absolutely disgusting. When my father first walked in ahead of Ari our pup was happy to see him. However when he seen Ari following behind he started to become nervous and began shaking. He appeared scared and ran to the back of the cage. My dad had to physically go in and pull him out. It was clear that something had happened. By looking at the conditions we could imply that the dogs probably didn't get as much outside time as we were told their camp gives, their website is also completely misleading. Our dog appeared traumatised and was definitely shaken up. After now looking online I see there are plenty of other reviews similar to ours. It's unfortunate we didn't see those sooner. Located conveniently approx. 10 min north of the 401 at Newtonville, Ari and his staff have created a safe, clean and open environment for his fur clientele. As a proud fur parent of two very rambunctious Australian Shepherds I needed a location that allow my pets to have lots of outdoor time and the ability to rest in a secure space. We are boarding them for the third time in a few weeks and I have no regrets or concerns. It is a busy spot, so you will need to be patient and confirm with Ari with regards to pick up and payment. He is a very easy going guy who just needs a reminder. Very pleased to have found this team who care for my fur babies as their own! read more

I had to rate a star before I could post my review, but my true rating is 0, this place should be shut down immediately, my puppy was traumatised, he was so frightened at the site of Ari, when we picked our pup up my husband went into the building before Ari to find the dogs in complete darkness, no ventilation, the smell of piss and damp musty building was so disgusting it took my breath away, I cannot imagine the poor dogs having to smell the odour, We had to bath our dog immediately when we got home to get the stench off of him, the smell was so strong it stunk up our house, the ride home in the car was awful, I had to wash his collar and leash to get the smell out, My husband turned on the lights and seen our pup, he was looking frightened, were he should have been jumping for joy at the site of seeing us, as he was walking over to him Ari came behind my husband and when our pup seen Ari he ran to the back of his cage, lying in down position shaking, my husband and I called for him to come out, but he was so frightened my husband had to go in and pull him out, he crawled in the down position all the way to the door, to scared to stand up, my husband finally got him leashed and I took him outside, he was so shaken up, Also our pup was not in one of the caged kennels, he was in a cement chamber, damp, muddy cement floor, walls, and top, with a rusty old gate and lock, it was so dark, I had to bend down to look inside and did not see my dog lying at the back, because it was so dark, even with the lights on, I did not see any food or water dishes, the bag we brought with his food, toys, bones, bedding were still in the bag outside his cage, we picked our pup up at two in the afternoon, nice day and all the dogs were in their cages, in the pitch dark and stench, I do not believe Ari takes them out like he says he does, just like he says it is a well ventilated building with heated floors, a/c, the stench and air quality tells it all, please share to help prevent future dogs misery, AVOID THIS PLACE. read more
