I have only written one negative review before. This is my second. I have been with Docusign since inception. When it first was offered it was fantastic: good support, easy to use,friendly staff. It is still easy to use, which was useful as I have older clients. However the support has worsened over the past 4 years. Now, it is nearly impossible to resolve issues. Last year, in August, they told me I didn't have the service (even though I had had it for almost 15 years). They required that I sugn up again for another $240. In October I discovered the bill proving I had indeed paid for the service in the previous month of May. When I contacted them to get them to remove the double billing, they didn't want to refund the 5 months of double billiing. After a really long time on the phone with supervisors,they refunded me $150 of the $240. They also ended my service in April instead of the month when the double billing started in August. Also, you cannot resolve anything by phone without filling out a ticket and waiting for a call or email. You never know when that call will come in...and it usually comes a day to 3 days later. The people you talk to don't seem to care nor are they able to make any decisions on their own. You end up spending hours on the phone without good results. My advise RUN WHILE YOU CAN!!! I was a member of Docusign since 2019. I paid them as a single user $300 a year for using their services. I found out that they double charged me for last years membership. I called and talked to them and they did admit that they overcharged me $300. But they would not be able to refund me the $300 because their company policy is to not refund money even though they admitted that they made the mistake. I did end my membership with them on 11-1-2024. I have a problem with a company that treats their customers like this. I have a problem with dishonest companies that do not stand behind their word. I looked up online and found that they are not a Better Business Bureau member and I see that they have 183 complaints in the last 3 years. They have 82 complaints just in the last 12 months. I searched online for another service that could do the same thing that Docusign was doing for me. and I found a new service called Adobe sign. Basically I have clients that signs contracts. I use their "request e-signatures service". They actually do a better job than Docusign did. I was able to use their trial services for a few days before I became a member. My business has used docusign daily for years. We have a commercial account which has turned out to be a huge mistake. We want to change our current plan and there is no way to do so without support or an account rep. The problem is that the account reps only send invoices. They won't communicate to find out what our needs or requests are. So they keep trying to bills us for services we no longer want or need. While Docusign is busy sending invoices, they decided it was appropriate to suspend our account. So now we are experiences disruptions in our business because of docusign's failure to provide even the lowest level of customer support. We have called numerours times and have been promised call backs...crickets. We have opened support tickets....crickets. They only level of response has been invoices. Extremely poor customer experience and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and never sign up for the level of account that is not renewable online because customer support will absolutely impact your business in a negative way. Thumbing their noses is their organic behavior for long supporting customers When you chat with them they post- go to support in your account and when you click on chat they speak with you briefly and they give a rote statement go to support. So when you call them on the phone they say we're not talking to people now and hang up. Okay so I send an email to the email address provided and in 30 minutes later I get an email from my server stating that emails states they will not accepted unless a request is opened. It's clever but do not use this system unless you download copies of any transactions you might want copies of, or keep a copy of your log in security devices somewhere outside the app. I could not log in as forgot the answer to one of the security questions and I have two factor authentication. Repeated calls to customer support over numerous days yielded "we cannot help you." I escalated. The discussion started from scratch. I spent hours and hours on othis. So Docusign has copies stashed of my signed transactions over a series of years, which I will not be able to retrieve (unless I remember who I put as my childhood bestie some decades ago.). It's like losing the key to your 1950s safe deposit box and the bank does not offer any way to help you retrieve your belongings inside. This is a software glitch and it should be solved. Shortly after I needed to change my Account information and this is when the problems started. Any change I am trying to make that should be a simple process, gives me error messages. I signed my completed tax forms with DocuSign. DocuSign immediately transmitted my signed tax return that included my social security number through unsecured yahoo mail. I opened an issue with Docusign, and there's nothing I can change in my DocuSign account that can override the sending of my personal documents, and there is no warning that you will receive prior to your personal documents being exposed on the internet. After a couple of months of waiting for the refund, we followed up, and the representative mentioned they closed the request since we didn't reply to their email. When I did, the documents were available without logging in or any form of authentication. How is that secure? I am not the queen of internet security, but a monkey could figure out that it is not a secure way to gain access to legally binding documents. All that needs to happen is for someone to hack my email to gain access. Tell me how, during a time when internet security is volatile and the proliferation of hackers is so pervasive, can this be secure? BTW - I called DocuSign support explaining my concern. TWICE. Realtor sent docs to sign, although DocuSign said it was "completed" all the signatures were blank. So she resent, I signed again, blank, resent, signed again, blank.... and on & on. (Keep in mind, I had signed a document just the day before and everything worked fine). So, I deleted the app on my iPhone, reloaded it, tried again, same result. Then went to my account in setting and reentered my signature & initials. That fixed it. But why the flippin glitch? And why was there no automatic message to explain how to resolve it? We've been with DocuSign since 2014 and had never had an issue with them until COVID-19 came around. In March of 2020 we renewed our contract for another year with them. We had the understanding it was like all the other years--with unlimited envelopes--but they changed their contract to charge $3 per envelope without notifying us outright. Suddenly, they told us that we were 5 envelopes from hitting our contracted amount and that the renewal price would be THREE TIMES MORE than what we had just paid for the year, four months prior. Upon checking with a customer service representative, they said we had to renew it if we were to continue using their service, even though we had the 5 envelopes remaining on our contract. We are a relatively small business and have been using them for years. The cost increase alone, coupled with this recent sense of entitlement for their product, has dissuaded us from ever using their services again after having been a happy customer for over 6 years prior. Hey, If you plan on upgrading you account from free to any of their plans, please beware. It is difficult to do the reverse! I did that in my account settings but they still kept on billing me monthly. After calling their customer support, they said they cannot refund my money because the agent that is handling my account needs to be contacted to verify that J am indeed cancelling my account. Plus they ask you too many verification questions and then process your downgrading in 10 to 14 days but no refund! This is how they draw customers into monthly plans and locking them up forever in a maze until you just merely have to close your account permanently in frustration. Yesterday my account was not able to log in, I have made calls for hours for two days, got the same stupid result not being able to re-activate my account. Customer supports pick up the calls immediately, but when they cannot fix the issue, they will hang up on you after having you waiting for long time. Then you will call back and repeatedly telling everyone the same issue again again from beginning.... this is horrible if you have urgent documents in process. This cost me not only time but money because my documents could not reach my clients! After the 3rd day of calling I was told they had a bug with bulk mailing they've been trying to fix for the past 4 days and had no idea when it would be fixed but they were working on it! I called to get the non profit pricing (a small $90 difference), but their customer service told me I had to jump through so many hoops to get my $90 credit, that I just decided to forgo it.
