My experience with APC was positive until after my stimulator was implanted. Unfortunately, my care…read morewith Dr. Luis Barboza became deeply concerning. He did not listen to my concerns and spent no more than five minutes at each visit. He was consistently late to both my appointments and my surgery. After the procedure, he failed to follow up on my symptoms or overall care. On one occasion, he even hung up on me while I was speaking, after not returning my previous calls. Because of these issues, I decided to switch doctors in hopes of receiving more attentive and compassionate care. My next doctor, Dr. Angus Lowry, was unprofessional and dismissive. At my first visit, when I asked if he could look into my symptoms, he responded with a firm "No." When I accidentally dropped something during the visit, he walked around me instead of offering any assistance. At a following appointment, he was condescending, verbally abusive and told me, "We are not here to wait on you or fix you. Let that sink in." He also falsely claimed that he did not have access to my MRI results. My experience with both physicians left me feeling disrespected, dismissed, and without proper medical support. I am sharing this statement in the hope that no other patient has to endure the same difficulties I faced.

After reading Psychic A.'s review I was nervous about meeting Dr. Goetz; I really liked my previous…read moreprimary care physician. I found Dr. Goetz to be relaxed and easy to talk to. I was establishing myself as a new patient. Dr. Goetz covered all the basics, and asked if I had any concerns. She also advised me to go to Quest for bloodwork even though I could have the blood drawn in-house and sent to Quest. Having the blood drawn at NWPG would cost my insurance for the blood draw, whereas the agreement with Quest covers the draw as well as the tests. All in all I'm quite happy to have Dr. Susan Goetz as my new PCP.

Dr. Susan Goetz came highly recommended to me, but I cannot stress enough how incredibly…read moredisappointed and ANGRY I am with the quality of care I have received from her. Her bedside manner is horrid. If the easy answer does not solve the health issue, she blows it off and refuses to discuss it further. I tried in three different appointments to discuss with her a problem that is quite serious to me, painful and incredibly inconvenient. She did one test, the super easy go-to test, and it was normal, so she would not discuss with me any more even though I tried asking again for desperately needed help on two subsequent visits. I finally called the office this week begging for her to call me in a prescription for something I took years ago for the very same issue, a medicine I tried discussing with her the first time I mentioned the problem, and she refused to do anything at all without me coming in for an actual visit. Yet a fourth visit (a.k.a. more money in her pocket) to discuss something I have already tried three times to talk with her about the last two and a half months! Ridiculous. I have another very serious health concern with tremendous, persistent headaches. She had me undergo a CT which was normal, so she will not talk with me about that any further. She only gave me a single round of muscle relaxers and no further assistance or efforts to get to the root of the problem because the CT was normal. She will not even talk with me about it now. The head is a not a muscle and the muscle relaxers she prescribed for two weeks of pain relief have provided me zero relief. It took me a year and a half to find her, and I guarantee it will not take anywhere near that long to replace her. This is flat unacceptable behavior by a physician. I highly doubt she will ever see or be made aware of my review as it seems there is someone within the office appointed to respond to reviews and simply placate those of us who have had negative experiences by saying the behavior is "unacceptable" or they "will look into it". They also say to call the office to discuss it. I have already done that, a few times, to no avail. It is clear we are only being paid lip service otherwise she would have been fired or held to account long ago and something would have changed. Northwest is doing themselves a huge disservice in keeping her on staff. I now have no intention of seeing any other physician in an office owned and operated by NWTH if she fits within their standards of acceptable behavior. The only good thing I can say about Dr. Goetz's practice is that the time in the waiting room and in the exam room is relatively short. Based on my own personal experience, I can definitely see why. No one else is there to see her! It pains me to refer to her as "Dr." as I feel I am doing a tremendous disservice to medicine. I do not care how many years she had to go to school or how much her loans were. That does not give her any right at all to treat patients as she does. Zero right. As a side note, when I told her she was highly recommended, she did not even acknowledge my statement. Not even so much as a thank you or that she even heard me. I should have known then to RUN. Bedside manner less than zero of five stars Quality of care less than zero of five stars Time in waiting room and exam room five of five stars Compassion and common courtesy less than zero of five stars Very highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Bad reviews all start with a bad experience someone had with the business, mine is no different…read more However, I think everyone that reads this needs to take a few minutes to look at the large number of bad reviews this doctor's office has built up over the past 6 months or so. As so many have stated in their negative reviews, this business was purchased, merged or was taken over by integrated pain management, some big clinic that could care less about their patients. I am going to interject a plea with anybody reading this. PLEASE read this and all the bad reviews and stay away from this "doctors" office at all costs. If you don't heed this warning, it will come back to haunt you, and you will regret the day you decided to go here. If you're a current patient, it's only a matter of time before you too wind up in the trash heap of anger customers. I've been going to pain doctors for a number of years. Never in my entire history have I seen a more unprofessional, Unknowledgeable and VERY untruthful Nurse Practitioner's. I would highly recommend and I do mean HIGHLY recommend staying away from this office. The lack of empathy on their part is very astonishing. Their pure unabashed arrogance is difficult to deal with and in my opinion, gets in the way of adequate health care. Also in my opinion this particular Nurse Practitioner would do better getting her real estate license and stay away from any and all health care facilities. Dealing with her was on of the worst things I ever tried to deal with. I have significant amount of health problems, and I deal with several doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. I've not had one problem with any of them ever, just this one crazy NP and Amarillo Spine. That should speak volumes about her! But wait there is more. Due to the awful treatment from this NP, I put in a call to the office manager in Amarillo. She called me back and we had a very pleasant conversation. She told me that she was going to check on this problem for me and see what she could do to help. She said I'll call you right back, that was 5 days ago and nothing, not a call, just nothing. What you need to glen from this is there is a cancer that has invaded Amarillo Spine from the office manager all the way through to the providers. In hind sight I now know why I had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach every time I went into this place. It's full of dark foreboding people. I also agree with all the other bad reviews of this place. It was a great place when Dr. Lee was there, he was caring and a warm human being and a great doctor. I'm very sad he left. In short I and a whole bunch of others have written bad reviews of this place. You've been warned, go here at your own risk, but if I were you I would just find another place. This place has gone downhill big time!

Both my wife and I work 12 hour night shifts. They would not schedule them on the same day around the same time. It so they can bill you twice. Stay far away from these crooks.
