This is probably the best urgent care in North Augusta. I was previously going to piedmont prompt care and came here a day they weren't open. Everyone here at Doctors Care is so much nicer and efficient. You can tell that the staff actually cares about getting you better here. 10/10 read more

I have never felt so humiliated, embarrassed, and insignificant in my life! Rice, because I refuse to call him a doctor, had no interest in helping at all. I went there Saturday in hopes of finding help for a migraine and neck pain from a car accident. I left completely in shambles and worst off than when I walked in. Rice insisted that because I already have a doctor that I should wait to go see her being that she's the one already treating me for the accident. My doctor is closed on the weekends. It's a Spine Physician. He literally walked in WITHOUT checking me, just leaned on the sink the whole time. I tell him how I'm in excruciating pain and first thing he does is asks me what I do for a living. Puzzling, but I told him I'm a truck driver. He then basically threatens my job and tells me that because of my injuries that if I take any pain medication I could be at risk of losing my D.O.T. Certification and if he were my doctor he wouldn't give it to me. (DRIVERS AVOID) After explaining to him that I haven't been given any pain medicine other than Tylenol and LidoPro(cream) for my neck in the last 2 months, and that my job is aware of my accident. He then suggested that if I'm in "so much pain" that I should go to the emergency room and that he won't be writing me any prescriptions for pain. Immediately after he says "I'm not saying you're fishing for drugs, but I'm not going to give them to you". Again, never asked for any pain medicine. At this point, I've done nothing to indicate that I wanted ANY pain medication. Only that I did not want to miss work to see a doctor, which is why I went on a Saturday, and that so far nothing has really been helping my migraine. He suggested seeing a Neurologist, which my lawyer and my doctor both have reached out with referrals to get me seen. You may or may not know that it takes awhile to see a Neurologist, so I explained that to him. However, he implies that it's MY fault that I haven't seen one yet and that I should be calling everyday to be seen. I always heard younger doctors were the worse but he really proved it that day. No compassion AT ALL! Stormed out of the room when I started expressing my displeasure with how he's treating me. If I knew the proper channels I would seriously take legal action against this place because he turned my physical pain, to mental and physical. I've been hurting since seeing him. Shame on you. I went to get treated not interrogated. Id rather suffer than to ever go here again. HE specifically needs reprimanding of some sort. Absolutely unacceptable.. read more

The Nurse P that saw me showed no real empathy or concern about my symptoms i had. She basically acted as though she can care less . I will drive to Aiken which is out of the way now that i have moved but the customer service is better. I won't be back to North Augusta Doctors Care on Knox Avenue. I did however liked that the time was short. With all the symptoms i have she couldn't tell me what's wrong. read more

Disrespectful and unkind. No compassion at all. I think someone has forgotten why they do what they do. Less than 3 minutes with the doctor, Rx written and I was told to leave! He didn't want to hear that I had just moved here, my history of the chronic problem, how my previous PCP and specialist has been treating it. I got out of work early to go get a few things check out health wise. Unfortunately, this place is a giant disappointment. 1) Male nurse doesn't really care about your issue, just trying to get his routines done as fast as possible. 2) Male nurse made rude comments right in front of you. Really? 3) Both male nurse and doctor chatting about your health issues out loud. I could hear all was said from my room. 4) The doctor doesn't really want to see me. He asked I should have a family doctor instead of going to see them. 5) The doctor came in and just stand there, say a few, and I could tell he ready to send me away. I have to say i am a very nervous and reluctant patient. Yesterday I had the pleasure of walking into one of the most friendly urgent care facilities i have been to in my entire adult life. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly and I was back within 15 minutes getting weighed and all that. I was seated in a rather used room, you could tell a lot of butts and sick coughs had been in that room. Dr. Rivell came to me and addressed issues i had been having for years and things i had been saying to doctors since i was 16 about certain health issues. Normally i complain about me waiting 15minutes to an hour only to be seen by the actual doctor for less than 5 minutes, however, those were the best 5 minutes of my life with a lot of care and actual knowledge thrown in. I arrived around 9am and didn't leave until 12pm. While there I got an X-ray, and briefly spoke to the Provider.  I was told that she was going to call in a prescription for me to Walgreens for an anti inflammatory medication to help with the pain and swelling. A hour after leaving the facility I called my pharmacist and was informed that no order was called in for me. So, I called Doctors Care and told the receptionist that my pharmacy hasn't received a prescription for me yet. She spoke with the provider and told me that she's currently putting it in and for me to wait about 1 1/2 hours for it to be ready. So I went home, and waited to see if my app would notify me of my prescription. Around 5pm I called my pharmacy back and was again told that no order was put in for me. So, once again I called Doctors Care and spoke to the same receptionist that's been there all day, and she blankly lied to me and said that she never spoke with me. I told her yes I spoke with you and at 12 today and was told my medication was getting put in. She tried to make me seem as if I was lying. Anyways, she asked for me to hold so she could speak to the Provider about my Prescription. When she returned she told me that the provider told me that she wasn't going to provide me with anything and that I was told to take OTC medication. Reminder I was never told to take OTC medication. While the nurse was wrapping my foot I asked her if I could take something for pain and she said that the Doctor was going to provide me with and anti inflammatory medication so I was fine with that. The whole facility is unprofessional, they all lied to me over and over. It would have been better for them to admit that they were wrong instead of trying me make me out as a liar. Even upon leaving they asked me which pharmacy would I like my prescription to be sent to. I am in excruciating pain, my left foot look like it weighs 10lbs itself, I can barely put pressure on it to walk without it shooting pain up my leg. The Doctor didn't even physically exam my foot, she sent in a nurse to wrap my foot in a cheap gauze that was wrapped completely too tight. Overall the facility what a major disappointment. I wouldn't recommend anyone going there ever. read more

This place is slow . All I need is a drug test. I have been here over an hour. I know of several people who have used the Walmart clinic down the road . They said they were in an out in under 30 min for the same thing I need to have done. Will not be back here . read more

This place is a one stop shop. They have labs and an x ray. They also take insurance and cash. If you visit the website it will tell you the cost of a visit which will range from $125-300 or something like that. It's all in a tier system. The staff was nice and they really care. My only negative is the walk in wait time. But I found out I can check in online to decrease that wait time. They also have free Wifi to help keep you occupied while you wait. Once you're in the back, you're in and out, knowing exactly what's wrong and how to fix it. read more

I found this provider through our insurance network. Called them up and they took me right away. After filling in some paperwork, as first-time patient, it was only a short wait for the doctor. Once in the exam room, he took one look, diagnosed the problem, prescribed medication and suggested where to go to have it filled. The antibiotic ended up "free." The doctor seemed VERY competent and the staff very friendly. What a great experience! I hope I don't have to go back but if I have to, I look forward to being treated with excellence again. read more

I am not going to get into a long winded explanation in regards to their mediocrity and poor customer service. . . But they will not work with you if your claim is bumped back - will send you to corporate - corporate will send you back to the branch. The front desk staff did not understand tests fees along with procedures, wrong and misleading information was given after several clarifications of what tests I wanted and how much they cost, young lady was friendly but clueless. The heavy set blonde nurse practitioner had a miserable attitude, (like that of a Drill Sargent). She refused to do a chest x-ray for Pneumonia, claimed that I did not have Pneumonia just by listing with a stethoscope. An Emergency room visit along with x--rays confirmed that I did in deed have Pneumonia which I suspected I did. Big money ($200.00) for miss treating and miss diagnosing the sick. read more

I've never been to a place were the doctor does not care as little as this place does. Doctor was telling me I'm fine and to go ahead and leave while walking in the room. I was there for a referral for vasectomy and had extreme hip pain. I had to BEG to even ask him a question. This place is what's wrong with our health care system. Signed up for an appointment via the internet, got a call shortly saying "come on down", was greeted by the friendly staff, was quickly seen by the Nurse Practioner & was soon on the way to the pharmacy to pick up a rx. I had no negative issue(s) during my appointment & would not hesitate to go again if needed. read more

The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. The FNP was very rude, hostile, insulting and totally uninformed. She did not even perform an exam! $125 cash to be insulted!?! cannot BELIEVE that these yahoos are practicing medicine!!! I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

After waiting 2 hours, the doctor skipped my room and saw two other patients that came in 45 minutes after me!!!!!!! This is the second time that this has happened !!!! My wife and I both have been to this office many tines. We were able to get in that day and wait time has varied from just a few min to an hour depending on the crowd. We have been very pleased with the quality of the care we have received. We would definitely recommend them to others. read more

I called and they suggested that I register online and show up when they sent me a text. Four hours later, no text had arrive so I showed up. Had to wait another two hours, even though there was only one person in the waiting room. It's a shame I even have to give them a star. I was lied to on the phone about an immunization for my daughter. I took off work early to get her there. After giving all my information and filling out a pile of paperwork, I was told they didn't do the shots. Then while explaining my situation, was talked over and told I should have called... I did call, even checked to see if insurance was covering the immunization. Then I was told I should have "axed" about it. They said that they would do it "this time". Like I should be gracious for them living up to there word. Obviously they don't hire people who have a clue about their service. The next day the nurse at my daughters school had to call the office because they gave me the wrong paper work. She proceeded to talk crap about me to the school nurse. Today the doctor from the practice called and instead of getting to the bottom of it, told me to never show up at this place again (no worries there), and hung up on me. I will never... Ever use doctors care again. It shows where the health profession is headed. Unprofessional. Unnerving. The only thing good about this place is their hours and that you can walk in. don't expect to be seen quickly. i have given this location several chances to change my mind but i always have a bad experience there. they misdiagnosed my husband several times. And don't ever go there while pregnant. they just treat you like you have an incurable disease and will not help you. i went at 30 weeks pregnant with a terrible flu and the NP just said i had a bad cold and sent me home with nothing. i spent all night with a high fever and was finally able to get meds called in from my ob. when they did their follow up call a few days later i was still suffering from a terrible cough and was concerned that i should be on antibiotics. they told me that it was just part of the flu and if it didn't go away to call my ob cause there was nothing they could do for me. complete waste of time and money. the NP didn't even listen to my breathing or look in my ears or throat or anything. will not be going back. only met a few friendly people working there. the rest acted like you were bothering them. read more

I have been going here for years and followed Dr. Rivell to this office. This last time that I went things were very different. I went in for my annual checkup and the NP was the one to see me instead of Dr. Rivell. That had never happened before. When I saw her she listened to my heart and felt my legs through my jeans and that was the end of the physical exam! They drew my blood and that was it. Waited a couple of weeks for the results....they never came. I happened to go by to pick up a prescription and there was one waiting for me that they had actually called in without my prior knowledge of the condition or the drug. This drug is for a lifelong condition that they found in my bloodwork ....of which I was totally unaware of and would have loved to have discussed with my doctor. STILL had not gotten the results in the mail despite having calling them about it. No one called me and informed of this newly diagnosed condition ....the only way I found out was the fact that the drugs had been prescribed for me. I wanted to speak with my doctor but the NP was the one to call. She was rude, inconsiderate and had a TERRIBLE bedside manner. She talked down to me like I should have never even gone there........like this kind of stuff isn't something that they do.......to the point that I went back and checked on the website to reconfirm. It says they do annual checkups! I finally had to call BACK again three weeks later and get them to send out my blood work results for my new doctor.
