Delicious, satisfying, and charming, this place is worth stopping for. We were just passing through on our way to Kingwood and needed a quick bite. It is rare to find such a good place in such a small town. Everyone in our three-generation party, with varied tastes, was well satisfied. The soup, smoked Gouda and roasted red pepper, was amazing. We tried six different kinds of sandwiches and all were delicious. "The far left" is a great vegetarian option, although the nice folks behind the counter are willing to make picky eaters (like my kids) and vegetarians other things. read more

This place was great. Lots of sandwich and side options. I did the pick two and got the roasted red pepper and smoked Gouda soup which was amazing and the one of the turkey sandwiches on a bread roll. Service was great! The only thing I didn't care for was the chip selection for the pick two. There were only three choices and none if which I was really a fan. read more

Make your own sandwich or pick from their menu, whatever your do with taste great. It's right across the street from Med Central in a little brick building. Not a lot of seating, but the tables and chairs are so cute! The chairs tuck into the corners of the table, go see it if I'm not making sense. :) Their soups are good too! This is a great local place. The service is amazing and the food is fantastic. As the tag line states it is The Cure For The Common Sandwich. They have a new yellow squash soup that is amazing. After reading the reviews of Doc's deli, my traveling companions and I stopped in on our way home from Columbus to Medina. From the moment we opened the door we were greeted as if we'd been life long customers, so warm and welcoming that we all agreed we'd come back just for that! But the food was so good..we had ordered the 1/2 sandwich & soup combos, Boba Fett with the roasted red pepper soup, Ancho ranchero with the kickin' crab chowder and the Far l.e.f.t with the potato bacon cheddar. A round of musical foods with all of us tasting, we all agreed that this is a place that we would gladly drive for more than and hour to eat at. Really check out the yummy menu on line and take the drive. it is sooo worth it. Maybe you could franchise into the Medina area :) read more

I work at the hospital and get to eat here all the time, the employees are always upbeat are helpful. The food is beyond just deli food, if I could I would eat lunch here everyday. The prices are a bit higher than I would like, but it is tasty! read more

Eaten here for the first time today. And I am definitely going back. If you can imagine the sandwich they can probably build it for you. They have an amazing selection of sandwich fix ins. My veggie sandwich was really good. But don't miss the soup. I couldn't decide whether to have red pepper or a mushroom barley so they offered me a taste of both. They were both amazing soups. I chose the mushroom but now I want to go back and get the red pepper soon. So be sure to try the soup. They also have delicious looking cheesecake though I decided to save that for another day. read more

We were visiting Mansfield for the weekend, and stopped here for lunch because the reviews were good. Fellow yelpers did not disappoint! The food here is amazing! The owner (Sue, I think) was so friendly and explained the menu and offered samples. After sampling the roasted red pepper & gouda soup, I had to have some. It really was the best soup I've ever had. I think I could have eaten a gallon of it! I also had half a ham & gouda sandwich, which was delicious as well. As we were leaving, I noticed that they had greek pasta salad, and asked for some to go. Sue gave it to me and invited us to come back again. I promised her that we would. We were driving through Ohio and thought we'd just stop for a visit. I had the Boba Fett sandwich and the Roasted Red Pepper with Smoked Gouda. The Roasted Red Pepper soup was out of this world! The Sandwich was just as phenomenal and was presented on pretzel bread which has quickly become my favorite bread for a sandwich. The Far L.E.F.T. sandwich was an alright choice. I highly recommend ordering the pick 2 combo where you pick a sandwich and a soup for about $6. You can also make your own sandwich. Doc's is an excellent spot for lunch. The Red Pepper and Smoked Gouda soup is excellent. They offer plenty of fun sandwich options such as the Boba Fett and the Dr. Phil and also let you build your own, which can be overwhelming because of all of the meats, cheeses, breads, inventive sauces, and toppings you get to choose from (avocados, walnuts, apples, sprouts, roasted red peppers, etc).
