My wife and I stopped here, finally, after driving by for years. We planned on getting a sandwich. I could not had been more surprised. The place is neat as a pin. They have a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, etc. There is also a full deli. We orders sandwiches by grabbing a pad of order forms on the counter and checking the boxes of what we wanted. There is an option for hot or cold. It took less than ten minutes to receive our meals and they were quite busy. There are several booths to sit at. Each is equipped with a little basket holding paper plates and paper napkins. A nice touch. The booths were super clean! Our sandwiches were very, very good and the price was right. I decided that I wanted a little ice cream to finish the meal. I opted for three scoops, in a bowl. For the first scoop, the girl put in three scoops of Chocolate. I had asked for three flavors and she said that that was just the first scoop. You definitely get your money's worth! Three HUGE scoops for $2.50. You can't beat that. I noticed that a previous poster said there were no restrooms. There certainly are restrooms. Perhaps they are new? I can't pin down exactly what this place is. It's a cross between a convenience store, ice cream store, sandwich shop, vegetable stand and more. A pleasant surprise that we hope to visit again soon! While on our way back north from a long day of hiking around Loudonville, we were drawn in by the lighted words "pizza and ice cream" on the side of the store. Everything was spotless and gleaming inside, and the employees were very pleasant and helpful! We were stopped in our tracks by an ice cream flavor called "This $&@! Just Got Serious", which was so good that we bought an extra pint to take home. Then came the to-go pizza that we were supposed to take home, too. By the looks of it, and, ultimately, the taste of it, that Philly cheesesteak pizza was too good to even make it to the car. If you're a pizza purist, this may not be your thing, BUT we absolutely LOVED it. The ingredients were fresh and fragrant (toppings were finely chopped for even distribution and easy eating), the crust was thin but substantive in all the right ways, and the oozy cheese they used as a base was something magical. Even if our pleasant experience might have been amplified by our hunger, there was no denying the quality of the flavors and experience that awaited us at Village Point Parlor. The reality that awaited us behind that glowing "Pizza and Ice Cream" sign at the corner of Main Street and Mechanic surpassed even our imagination! Bravi! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Driving up from Mohican after an extremely disappointing yet unsurprising experience where every campsite was full, driving through Hayesville, by chance, with no idea, when I realized I was very hungry and needed to stop for some food. We had passed this place about a year ago, and thought it looked like a very cute oasis, but sometimes these oasis places are actually traps. Not Village Point. It's awesome. I got a grilled cheese sandwich and soup of the day, tomato tortellini soup, which both were delicious, for a whopping $3.49. They also had a bunch of beer and wine on sale for 25% off. So I bought some of that because the only way to cure the pain of not being able to rustically camp for free is to drink the cost of the new campsite where they ask you what size your RV is when you have a small tent and a useless backpack. Village Point market is nice and clean. It's also a good deal. They seem to sell a lot of different crafty looking things, like craft beer, but also aprons and seed starter kits. It's also like a small grocery convenience store, and a deli and they have salads. The staff is nice and helpful. Anyone who is passing by should stop here and eat and by stuff for their camping trip or life. read more

This establishment is delightful and offers a bit of everything , sort of a " jack of all trades " for the small community it serves . Who knew? While traveling through Hayesville recently we stopped to grab a quick bite at the village point cafe market. My kids loved looking through the candy area. I quickly grabbed some new potatoes, green beans, and a candy onion from the produce stand. Then after a quick look around the dry goods area we had lunch . My husband and I split an Italian sub on artisan roll ( locally baked) Amazing! The kids each got a dish of ice cream-black cherry and treasure tortoise. Quaint Delli that also serves ice cream. The employees were very kind. The sub sandwiches were custom made with fresh cut meat. Very fresh and delicious. Very reasonably priced! Only downside is there are only two booths to sit at, so most customers seem local, or take it on the go. There is no restroom for customers to use which makes it difficult when traveling with young children. read more

My kids and I stop here after church and get various "treats" to take home. There are several meats and cheeses to choose from that are extremely reasonable in price. Would give this place a higher rating if it wasn't for a certain conversation I had today. We drove to Village Point because we heard the sandwhich selection was amazing, so we bring our kitten in with us (there's not a "no pet sign" which was perfect for our traveling situation)We walk up to the counter and begin discussing what we want to eat and just as we begin to make final decisions a rude employee comes up and says they don't allow pets and I would have to take her outside and get off their property. Now at this point I'm hungry and frustrated but I try to be polite about the whole situation and we leave without making much of a ruckus. Unbeknownst to them this is a therapy cat for my high stress and anxiety levels. The woman came so short that I didn't feel like trying to explain this to her which explains why I left. I couldn't leave the kitten in the car but I still believe the woman should have been a bit kinder in her words. read more

Stopped here after a friend told us about it. My wife and I went in ,there were people working behind counter,but all too busy to tell you how it works. We found the menu on counter,looking at it to find what options to check off to order,when I notice two people behind us waiting. We move from counter so they can get order forms. We wind up finding a shelf in the store to complete ours. My wife asks how you know what kinds of soup they have today,I tell her the menu says to ask. Who do you ask when there is nothing but a basket on counter to put completed order? By the time we completed the order there were 10 more people in the line now in front of us.
