I was visiting my sister and she suggested this place. She called in our sandwich order so it would be ready when we arrived - we ordered 5 sandwiches. The sandwiches were HUGE-lots of meat. They were also DELICIOUS!!! What a value for $5! I had a Reuben-one if the best I've ever eaten. While we were waiting I also picked up some cheese and had some bologna freshly sliced to take with me. I also picked up a few things from the shelves - homemade corn chips with flax seed which were also very good. I would highly recommend this place. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

This little cafe is just charming! Ashland is the half way point between Columbus and Cleveland,…read moreand I was looking for a new to me place to meet a friend. We chose Bella's, and I think we will certainly be back! The tables and chairs are kind of mis matched, and make the space super cozy. The menu leans to lunch fare - sandwiches, salads, soup, dessert, but that is pretty much what we were looking for! We started with a really refreshing strawberry lemonade, that was fresh mixed and had strawberry puree in it. We each had 2, which is a bit of an indulgence, but it was so good! For my lunch, I had the Rachel and a cup of potato corn chowder. The soup came out in a literal coffee mug, which was pretty adorable. It was very good, big chunks of potato and plenty of corn. And I always love a good Rachel. This was a great portion size (I actually ate the second half the next day, reheated), and good amounts of the coleslaw versus turkey. We also split an order of fries, which were like fair fries. Fair fries are my favorite, so I'm glad we got them! Finally, we split a sugar cookie, which was shaped like a balloon since Ashland is known for the hot air balloon festival! So cute and it was really good, with butter cream frosting. I will for sure come back next time I want to have lunch with friends!

Love this place. Kinda better before COVID cuz the samples were easier to get. You just grabbed a…read moresample from the cups. Germ central. I get it. Now you have to ask. But the workers are nice about it. So it's fine. First floor you can order food and then eat it outside or in the patio area. Hot dogs are good. You can also get ice cream and sides like onion rings. All prices are pretty average for a cafe. The other part of the first floor are savory snacks and soups, jerky, dips, pretzels, popcorn, crackers, jelly's, teas and such. You can try it all. Prices are about mediocre. Not cheap but not outrageous. Upstairs are all the cheeses, dressing, sausages, jarred condiments. Again you can get a taste of most anything. Cheeses are from all over the world and all types spicy, sharp, dill, bacon, champagne, almost anything you can think of. Prices are more expensive than Giant Eagle, Trader Joe's, Aldi's and most stores. But the combination of cheese flavors are pretty unique. Something you can't just get at those other stores. And think of it as a treat. You're not going to buy that cheese every week. So a treat is nice. Overall it is a fun experience for the whole family. We didn't go to the chocolate Sweeties side. But I am sure that is amazing too. You can eat at the cafe, buy some snacks, treats and cheese. It's fun and you don't do this every day. At least that's how I look at it. $50 dollars later. LOL! I did buy some treats as gifts too. So that is another option to consider.

Of course I had to pull my my Yelp app to see if this place was worth the visit. Off rip it had 4+ stars and lots of reviews. On the review it said it is Ohio's premier cheese and chocolate destination. I had never heard of this place and I have lived in Ohio for years. Anyways they do sell LOTS of cheese and chocolates, jellies meats, honey and other little items. They have an upstairs and downstairs of stuff, they have separate buildings you can go in.They have stuff for kids like an outdoor game area. They have samples throughout and you can ask if you want to try something. We did end up going back once we left Cleveland, but it was as crowded or even more when we came back. We were able to get some samples of cheeses and they gave us a card where we could order on the website. They have spreadable cheeses and meats. I would have liked to have spent more time there to see and taste but our time was limited. They have a little food restaurant but we did not go inside to try anything. I ended up purchasing some homemade fudge and it was delicious. The customers and the staff was nice as well and we were greeting as soon as we arrived. I think one of the employees was cooking some bacon, and who doesn't love bacon. I didn't get to try any because everyone was right there waiting for the bacon to be done so they could get their sample. I would like to find out what time during the day that they are not so busy so that I can really enjoy my time there. But it was the weekend so everyone and their mama's was there to visit. lol I will come again I think I may try to go during the week so that I am able to walk through and enjoy what this place has to offer.

We were there in the 1:00 hour on Saturday April 11, 2026 and were ordering when my wife asked what came on the Tuna melt. The woman (grey hair so there is no mistake who this was) very sarcastically said "Tuna, did you just get off the turnip truck?" Seriously? Maybe she was asking if lettuce and tomato came on it. I wanted to walk out but the sandwiches are always so good that I bit my tongue and we did order two tuna melts with added lettuce. There was no reason to demean her for asking what all comes on the sandwich. She was not joking either until I stated the obvious about additional add ons. It's 8:24 and I am still stunned by her attitude towards us. There is no way to convey her tone and attitude here but obviously it bothered me enough to post this. 5 stars food. 0 stars for her.

I typically go with an everything bagel egg sandwich, they offer Cleveland Bagel, so a no brainer, that and they grill the bagel on the flattop . Once you place your deli order, hop over to the bakery and get a scone, a muffin, a donut, a slice of pie the possibilities are really endless. They offer a full coffee menu, soups to go, hot items, packed freezer and fridge items too. So get up early and head to Lehmans, especially if you want first dibs on the good donuts!
