This was the last stop of our Saturday night. I like this place because it's laid back, long extended bar, with a back room of tables and booths. People were playing shuffleboard and other table games. Some people even brought their dogs. read more

On a Sunday at 10PM, we had the entire bar to ourselves (there were folks in the back). They let us bring in slices and tacos, though they had set out PB&J, a knife, and Pabst Blue Ribbon toaster on the bar. B&W film on screen; Chimay on tap; cute dog on patrol. 'Nuff said. read more

A clean bar with cheap, crappy beer like Hamm's and PBR in cans. They have a pretty good liquor selection, but apparently can't make cocktails as basic as an old fashioned (at least I was refused when I went recently). Service was otherwise alright, and a Ms. Pac-Man tabletop is always a plus. read more

Pretty good Mission dive bar. They have pinball and shuffleboard table to keep you entertained. We played pinball for hours, but we really wanted to play shuffleboard. Unfortunately we were on the bottom of a very long list and never got to play. The drinks are priced well and come in pint glassses, which is rare for SF. The atmosphere is fun and the crowd is young and friendly. The bathrooms are very gross though and they only have one stall for men and one for women. With nicer bathrooms this place could have received 4 stars. read more

Rad place to go out in SF to. Cash only of course...it's SF. However, cheap drinks! Some fun cocktail options too. There were 1 or 2 video games I think you could play like pacman, otherwise it's mostly a chill and hang out bar. read more

Coolest thing about this place is the shuffleboard. Usually fairly dead or empty for some reason, but I kinda like that. You don't want to many people around you as you're drinking and playing shuffle board. read more

Very much enjoyed the shuffle board in the back. The drinks are well priced. This is a cash only bar and the ages ranged up to the mid 30s the Friday night we were there, though everyone looked like babies. Between, Dominoes, Scrabble, and other various game options we were entertained. The crowd is friendly and classic mission district. There were a lot of locals hanging out that evening. Who gives a crap about the bar. You can get drunk anywhere although I suppose the price will vary. Anyhow, I advise anybody who hasn't been here to go and try the shuffleboard. If you're like me and couldn't stop watching curling at the Winter Olympics, you're going to be batty for this game. The rules are a touch complex, but you can get the hang of it quick enough. The first thing you notice is The Sign. It's all old-timey looking and cool. The inside of the bar is long and skinny (reminds me of someone I know :-)) but a little bit kind of dingy. Not that it has to be all foo foo or anything, it's just a neighborhood bar. But the thing I really loved about it is they sponsor screenings of new films in the back part of the room. That's why I went in the first place, to see Kurt Weitzmann's new film "Last Call." There was also another documentary being screened and although there were technical difficulties, the staff was "on it." I really appreciate a place that will support local artists. I have to admit that I had nothing to drink at all because I was driving, but they did seem to have a full selection of the usual suspects. Next time I go I'll order a drink or two to support this establishment that supports the arts! read more

Have you ever experienced that awkward feeling of being in the Mission and not wanting to dance or stand up and talk to semi-drunk people wearing fedoras and smelling of Parliaments? There aren't many options in this neighborhood for that type of situation--most Mission dives are loud, sweaty, and scene-y. Not so at Doc's Clock. It's one of those refreshing Mission bars with actual seating, a tolerable noise level of interesting music, inexpensive drinks, shuffleboard, and the occasional dog. (Watch your step!) I dig. Leave your attitude in the Marina and you will find a happy home here. There's a bartender there, Lisa, who's pretty much the best. It's one of the last dive bars in the mission and is one of my favorite places to celebrate or commiserate in. read more

Just a stinkin' good time whenever I come here. Cheap drinks especially Sundays (all day happy hour!!) and they have arcade machines to pass the time. Don't expect anything classy -- this is a dive bar after all -- but you get all sorts and it's always all good. read more

As far as bars go this place is pretty cool. They have a shuffle board table, board games (pictionary, trivial pursuit, sorry, scrabble), two arcade games (only one was working though), plenty of seating (4 booths, 5 mini tables and bar seating) and a juke box. Good music, nice bartenders, cool atmosphere and a shuffle board!

I love coming here. They have great drinks for cheap. The happy hour is pretty good and the bartenders are very charismatic. My friend even got her iPhone recharged when the bartender offered to charge it for her while they made her a "trailer trash". So nice! The shuffle board in the back is where you want to be once you get a few drinks in you. Oh, and it's a green bar! read more

I have only been here twice, and it is a nice little neighborhood bar, at least early on a Friday. They are cash only, and make a decently strong drink. The bar comes equipped with shuffleboard, so be prepared to play. The bar is pretty dark, and has never been packed that I have seen, but like I said, I have only been twice, and both times were early on a Friday.
