Smoked wings

In Louisville on business. This was a great spot with knowledgeable bourbon bartenders. Restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Smoked wings were a little over done but still good

Great service, great food, great atmosphere for a downtown joint. I would highly recommend getting a fried shrimp Po-boy sandwich

Fried pickles

Service was excellent and the the food was very tasty. Large variety of bourbons and specialty drinks. Fried pickles and loaded chips with pulled pork were great appetizer choices. Spicy fried chicken sandwich was tender and juicy. place Is family friendly.

Went here after my graduation. The food was good! The ambiance was nice. Seats were a little uncomfortable but the service made up for It. We also had their chili and corn bread! The chili was flavorful! Corn bread was a little more on the burnt side. The fried pickles were perfect! highly recommend to anyone looking for a good bar with good food!

This was our first meal when we arrived in Louisville. I didn't realize it was attached to the full-service restaurant. So keep that in mind when you're trying to figure out which place to enter. They both have the same menu but this one has the bar. We went to the bar, and they were letting kids sit at the bar to eat dinner with their parent (I presume) so that was a little odd. We sat at a high top and the bartender served us when they had time. I know it was busy so that probably wasn't the best choice we ordered cocktails and they were fine. We decided to share the smokehouse sampler and it was plenty of food for the two of us. But overall I would say this place wasn't that memorable or tasty and there are a lot of other great places in the area to try if this one isn't your thing.

This was such a fun dining experience. Great oysters. Amazing service. The smoked roasted chicken was delicious. Ordered a side salad with it. The chips were good, but probably wouldn't order them in the future. Old fashioned was great!

This place is an absolute dream come true. 2600+ bottles of whiskey available, 1oz taster pours or 2oz full pours, tons of ainge barrel picks and an endless variety of stuff to try for every budget, including nearly impossible to find picks (although you'll pay a premium for those). The service was fast an attentive, and the food was delicious. For food we ordered the porkrinds and crab cakes to start, I had the BBQ sampler with a side of Mac and cheese, my wife got the burger which was also great, and we finished the meal with some bread pudding (amazing!) And some warm chocolate chip cookies. 100% will be back.

Loaded brisket nachos. You must try these!

Hubby made reservations for both of us for dinner last night at Doc Crow's and they sat us in here! We are so lucky to sit inside the back part of this restaurant while the front is being readied for opening very soon. Love the floating shelves up high showcasing all their alcohol in alphabetical order (except their scotch). Started off with a couple cocktails. Hubby the old fashioned and I had the mint julep lemonade. Both were very good but a bit pricy. For our meal: Hubby ordered the Nashville hot chicken (did not come with any side). A bit under cooked but hubby ate it anyway. I ordered the fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and extra sausage gravy. Delicious!!! I would order this again. Oh wow! Oh, I forgot we tried their starter of loaded nachos with brisket and bbq chips. This is so delicious and addicting!

Bourbon list... just one of about 20 pages

Great bourbon.... A book full and interesting choices. Service is okay. Food is meh. Ribs are dry rubbed and I'm sure done in the oven, that ain't smoked. Chips served with them are stale. Wedge Salad had the most boring blue cheese dressing EVER. I'm not a clean freak, but the globes around the lights are filthy and the ledges by the table are think with dust and debris. Too many choices to spend time here

My group of four decided to wrap up our epic Bourbon Trail weekend at Michter's Fort Nelson Distillery right before heading to the airport. Having already hit six other distilleries over the weekend, we were completely "toured out" and opted to bypass the standard distillery tour. Instead, we headed straight upstairs to the bar and it was the best decision. We happened to visit right at the start of Derby week, so the entire building was alive and buzzing. Because of the festivities, they were highlighting their own rendition of the Derby fan favorite Mint Julep. I had to get one, and it did not disappoint. It was well crafted, perfectly balanced, and served in the classic, frost chilled sterling silver cup. Easily one of the best Juleps I've ever had. The bar area itself is beautifully appointed, sitting on one of the top floors of the historic building with a great atmosphere. A massive bonus: they offer patrons free bar snacks. The seasoned corn nuts were an absolute hit at our table, to the point where we had to ask for seconds (and they happily obliged!). Service was fantastic from start to finish. Despite the Derby week crowds, our water glasses were never empty and the cocktails came out incredibly fast. Whether you are doing a full day of tours or just want a world class drink in a stunning setting, Michter's is a phenomenal addition to any Louisville itinerary.

I loved walking through the rooms and seeing all the vintage details and stained glass. The Whiskey room has quite the shock factor with floor to ceiling bottles lining the walls. No complaints to be made about the service! It felt quick and smooth! The signature cocktails we ordered were very good (not pictured)! My only disappointment was the limited menu. The menu seemed to be mostly appetizers and pizza with some additional options for entrees. We ordered the Holy Fire Dip for a starter and it was delicious! It was warm and had great flavor. The waitress did need to bring more bread, the dipping options felt sparse. My husband and I split The Burnt Offering Pizza and Sanctuary Sliders, they were both solid. We both favored the pizza but would have liked more variety. I can see why this place comes highly recommended for the experience. I would definitely come back but hope they expand the menu by then!

It could just be mediocre pub food, but the food here is very, very good. I don't know why, but when I'm in the south, I get the hankering for a deviled egg. So we started with the deviled eggs (Los Huevos El Diablo), which, despite the name, were not super spicy. They had just the right amount of spice. One thing to know about me is: If I see a patty melt on the menu, I will order that. So I got the Merle's Melt, which is a burger patty with cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, plus bacon and special sauce on buttered toast. It was sublimely tasty! It comes with house-made chips, which were good. They also offer tacos on the menu. One of my children got one steak taco and one chicken taco. The tacos are topped with tomato, lettuce and cojita cheese. I was told that these were very good! My kid eats like a bird, but ate one and a half tacos, so that must say something, right? The Lip Smack'n Mac & Cheese was also ordered, as well as the fried chicken, because the menu says that the fried chicken is award-winning, so how could we not? The fried chicken was super crispy and tasty, and the mac and cheese was creamy and made with large shells, which is the best kind of pasta to use for mac and cheese (in my opinion). The service was great, the lighting was great, and we were seated quickly, even though they seemed busy. It was a good place to have a family dinner in Louisville.

It is fair to say, that we had a phenomenal experience based on how well we were treated by our server who was a recent transplant from out of state and even the U.S. as she shared her story with us which was very much so moving and compelling. We always have a wonderful time at steak and bourbon together as a family. But, I personally will have to point out that my favorite part of the whole dinner is the live music and the wonderful ambiance that in a way, fosters excitement, and intimacy if the right person or people happen to join you during such a special environment.

The bottle list doesn't disappoint either as it showcases a medium selection of options, which cover a little bit of everything while having a New World focus. Finally I made it to the cocktails and loved the focus on some absolute classics with Manhattan, Boulevard, Vesper, Sazerac. Then you see the seasonal section where their Amaro cocktail creations really shined! FOOD: The appetizers are all wonderful, the crab cakes are about the crab, the bone marrow while not my favorite is good, the steak tartare is divine, and the oak-fired heirloom carrots are without a doubt slept on. Now I did love the Lobster Bisque presentation but I have had better if I'm being honest. Then I thought... for being a steak house they sure give you a lot of reason to not order a steak ! The organic Chicken Picatta is wonderfully executed, The Whole Roasted Dover Sole Meunière stays classically French and is a great fish entree where steak is the headliner. But if you are getting a steak it's definitely going to give you a super-star performance. The steaks here see 35/45 days of dry-aging and the Fred Linz Heritage or A5 Wagyu is the way to go without a doubt! Every steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare and the Red Wine Jus was my favorite personal sauce while others preferred the Bourbon Peppercorn. However, if you truly want to indulge get some of the bone marrow butter and put that on your steak..... your tastes buds will thank you. DESSERT: The dessert list gives you a respectable selection with the Bourbon Bread Pudding being a must try! I also always appreciate a good sorbet option but I must say the chocolate cake is rather underwhelming... however that Raspberry coulee it comes with is awesome so it kinda redeemed itself. The waiter recommended to ask for more on the side. SERVICE: The waiters are all abundantly professional, performing at a level of service you'd expect from a modern high-end steak house. The recommendations made were excellent while their knowledge of not only the menu but the wine list was appreciated.
