We normally get crabs one night during our annual trip to Duck, had them last night. The meat came out in large white chunks, and the crabs were larger then in the past. Had crab left over for crab cakes tonight. They were delicious. The tomato pie was excellent as well. read more

Very impressed with their seafood had to take a little fresh tuna for the trip home from Duck. Wanted some grouper as well but none to be found. They gave us some ice to keep the Tuna cold for the trip. Just loved the Tuna Poke we made with one of the steaks. Tonight hopefully its seared tuna. This is definitely a must stop if you have access to cook much better than going out. read more

Nice seafood market went twice with good selection, but we went today and out of 5 employees not a single one was wearing a mask and were not maintaining 6 foot distance. Dare county has a mandatory mask rule. We can not return because of this illegal incredibly selfish behavior. Only store we saw in duck (other than a bait and tackle shop where they were at least behind plexiglass) that no employee was wearing a mask. I assume the food they are preparing they are not using masks either which is frankly scary especially for people with compromised immune systems. read more

We ordered crabs and shrimp from here. Both were seasoned very well. The crabs were delicious and cooked very well. However, the shrimp (we got mediums) were very overcooked which also made them difficult to peel. If the shrimp had not been overcooked they would have gotten 5 stars! read more

We stayed a week in Duck and our friend suggested this location for fresh steamed crabs. The first time we ordered 18 steamed/seasoned crabs and a dozen raw oysters for 3 people. We didn't know how big the crabs were and would have fallen into a food coma if we didn't go to the beach afterwards to swim it off (after waiting 30 minutes of course). The second time we ordered it (because it was that good), we ordered 6 crabs, 1/2 lb of seasoned peel 'n eat shrimp, dozen raw oysters. This time we ordered too little. Next time, we think a dozen crabs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, dozen raw oysters would do nicely for 3 adults. Prices are very reasonable. Service is GREAT. Store is very clean and not fishy smelling. We called ahead both times and it was ready and warm when we got there. read more

Stopped in to buy some fresh shrimp. It is probably the cleanest seafood store I have ever been in. All the fish looked very fresh. We bought 2# of raw shelled shrimp to make as an appetizer and it was excellent. Staff were all welcoming and quick to answer any questions. I would definitely return. read more

Good selection, great product. They usually (in August anyway) have oysters, scallops, tilefish, drum, salmon, tuna, shrimp, and a couple other things. Tip: they get their tuna from 2 local fishermen. If it looks not-so-good one day, come back the next and check again -- it can vary a lot from day to day. read more

If they refuse to follow any COVID guidelines, I worry about what other guidelines they decide to ignore in terms of food safety. There were no masks, no glass, no distancing or capacity guidelines. $160 worth of seafood including 24 raw oysters... the oysters were bad. Like made our daughter vomit bad. Able to eat 4 total out of the 24. Shrimp and mussels were good... crab legs way over priced. Wow! Not impressed. Actually moved to Duck about 2 months ago and have bought a couple hundred bucks worth of seafood here since. Don't get me wrong, the food has been good but today's service was pitiful. We have been frequenting all the local shops here in Duck and everyone has been so kind and helpful. They have all told us about the locals discounts as it is what keeps their businesses open I n the off-season. Well today, after the lady (owner?) rang me up I asked if they offered locals discounts. She replied they do, but only to people they "know". I explained I was a new resident, had a local id, and had shopped here several times in the last 2 months. She replied, " sorry but she had never seen me before" ?!?!? Wow, I will get my seafood elsewhere. read more

Great massage by a young man mark I think the name. Went twice because of severe pain in my back from trip I have had massages all over the us $ 170. For a 90 min massage plus 29% tip ( they write on ebvelope suggested tip) I consider high. Next time I will go off to " mainland". Area is above a restaurant not exceptional. My family and I spent our vacation last summer in Duck, NC. We found a seafood market called Dockside N Duck and I would highly recommend it. The seafood is local, fresh and reasonably priced. We especially like there homemade soups and dips. This place is clean, not like the fish markets we visited in the past. It sure beats taking the whole family out for dinner and waiting in line all evening with the kids. It will be the first stop on our list the next time we vacation on the OBX.
