I wondered what the red popcorn tasted like, so me and my BF went inside to sample it. The staff was so nice in allow us to sample the flavors. Now I've had the "red" color before, but was quickly reminded what the taste was. Wait, back up....Topsy's Popcorn is located in KC, but they opened this location up in the Galleria for the holidays only. So anyway, I was soon reminded how good this popcorn is. The "red" is cinnamon flavored, and of course it is mixed with caramel and butter popcorn. The butter almost melts in my mouth! Vince didn't care for the cinnamon flavor, so when I went back the second time, I got only the caramel and butter. They have it in cans, small bags and medium bags. However, as with most gourmet popcorn, it can be a bit pricey to some. The medium bag is $7.50 and some change. The only part that sucks is the fact that it will only be at this location until sometime in January (as this is what the website states. I will definitely try to get my last bag by then. What stood out to me is that there weren't a ton of bags sitting around waiting to be bought and everything is definitely fresh. It is simply and colorfully decorated. Janee' the proprietor is an amazing lady. She is not only the mastermind of BPP, she also provides excellent customer service. Her warm personality, makes shopping and selecting a flavor or two of popcorns a pleasant experience. I love popcorn. To be honest, I can make a big bowl of popcorn an evening meal. Being my first visit, I created my own mix. I enjoy Butter and Caramel. I started munching on it while driving back to IL and finally had to seal the bag up at a stop sign so I didn't devour it all before I got home. The butter popcorn was better then movie theatre popcorn and the caramel was rich and sweet. I'll be back, for sure. Every time I shop Penzey's, I'll shop Blissfully Popped Popcorn.
