I thought it was a cute place with the white and navy blue colors. You can sit outside or inside. We decided to eat inside. There was about 9 nine people that ordered and was waiting for their food. I know this because while I was trying to order my food, every 2 minutes the other customers would go up and ask about their food. I seen the disgruntled look on these people faces. I would say when it came to anything that dealt with ice cream, it was ready in minutes. But when it came to food such as burgers, fish, fries, it took about 30 mins. My take on this is this establishment needs to keep up with the demands of what they offer. I would suggest limiting the items to choices that are a quick turnaround. They thrive in making the ice cream products fast while the fast food items take 10mins or more. I did not order the Funnel cake due to the worry of waiting for 10mins or more for it. I did not have any issues because I ordered a banana split, Concrete ice cream w/strawberries and Monster cookie on a cone. My selections were ok. I think it satisfied my sweet tooth, but I think the consistency of the ice cream can be improved. If Ted Drew's and Costco is in your rotation, then there's no need to explore elsewhere.

They handled each customer with care. They didn't rush me. I know i took too long to decide. After finishing my order I kept adding to it. The gold rush was the last cake that I purchased. I had completed my order. But got back in line to get it. 2 ladies told me that I can go ahead of them. I told them I already ordered and I'm ordering again. I initially got 3 vanilla butter cream cupcakes. Then I saw the gooey butter cake. I asked the young lady to add that too.. My coworkers placed their orders. Their desserts are kind of pricey. At least they are on my opinion. But they are very good. Of course there's parking out front.

Yesterday, Sophia my little fur-baby had a vet appointment that was just a block away. Being a good dog dad, I made sure she arrived early. In fact, we were so early I had time to kill so I made a stop at, The Cup. To my delightful surprise, they had a special on two of my favorite flavors and they were combined into one cupcake. I love lemon & raspberry. The cupcake was called, Spring Fling. It was a lemon cake, with Raspberry cream cheese frosting and a raspberry filling. The cake was moist and soft. Most importantly, the frosting was not overly sweet and did not overly dominant the cake. It was just the perfect amount of topping. The lady working the counter was attentive and made friendly conversation. I was glad to see that they are part of the, Gift-A-Meal program and that they offered Student Discounts to those who attend SIUE. That's community supporting community.

Unfortunately, both concretes were extremely disappointing. They were bland and virtually tasteless, with none of the rich flavor we expected. When I was younger, going to Bobby's was a real treat. The quality and flavor made it worth the visit. Sadly, that wasn't our experience tonight. The product simply didn't live up to the reputation I remember. I rarely leave reviews, but I was genuinely disappointed. I can't help but wonder if others have noticed a decline in quality as well. For us, there are better alternatives available now--even Dairy Queen offers a more satisfying frozen treat experience. I truly wanted to enjoy this visit, but based on tonight's experience, we won't be returning.

The best way i can describe the shake is a pretty good amalgamation of a protein shake and a dessert shake. Their shakes aren't super sweet and the profile is closer to protein shake. However, the shake is much thicker and closer to an ice cream shake. They do throw in some extras to elevate the flavor. So picture a thick protein shake with that type of sweetness with some ingredients to make it taste like a coconut cream pie. Will definitely be trying to stop by often to try more and see what seasonal flavors they have.
