I have been told by his psychiatrist if he loses anymore weight that we need to send him to an eating disorder Dr and take him off the only medication we have found to work. My son has partaked in marijuana and it gives him an appetite and he is able to eat. Now this Dr here told me "there are only 2% of males with an eating disorder as a patent and Dr I would be more concerned about other drug uses like heroin or meth. His exact words then he stated I've never seen a fat meth head." Pissed me off as a mom that you would insinuate drug usage. Which I know there is no other drug usage because he's tested by his psychiatrist.
