Buyer beware.. when you order their pre-rolls online, you're selecting the actual product you're going to be picking up, but the THC percentage is incorrect. I bought some pre-rolls specifically for the THC percentage.. obviously, which was listed as 25% under the actual pre-roll item (not flower). I've been shopping at LOVA for a couple of years now, but after the pandemic I just won't shop anywhere else. As someone with an autoimmune disorder, I appreciated the many ways LOVA made it a safe experience for everyone. Most people don't realize it, but those budtenders at our dispensaries were also "first responders" like the nurses and the grocery clerks. They risked their lives and stayed open so that those of us who need medicine can have it. Further, the budtenders have always been kind and helpful, and while sometimes I have to wait a bit, it's worth it because I know they'll take their time with me, and never rush me. I like a budtender who really listens to me, and helps me find exactly what I'm looking for. These are members of my community. About the cannabis: I love this dispensary, and no longer shop anywhere else. There's always an extensive collection of *everything* -- from flower (with new strains all the time) to vape cartridges, edibles, budder, you name it. The prices are reasonable, with options at all price levels on most products. As for the negative reviews... I wish I could write an essay for certain out-of-state visitors on how to shop for weed... and how to behave toward the staff waiting on you. These people are our first responders. As Erika is the head honcho of promotions for Northern lights it seems a bit tone deaf to today's plights of vaping. While this establishment has become over priced with a minimal selection of subpar flower, it's just a bad representation of what is wrong with this practices and putting people in health danger from vaping. This stop really made my trip to the Mile High City..well...high. The staff is super friendly and so helpful. Especially when I brought my elderly parents who wanted to give it a whirl (both had smoked in the 60s like everyone else) and they didn't make them seem out of date. Hell, the tender who helped my dad began asking him more questions about his life and what he thought about all this. Great environment. I did not understand the "zipper bag" thing but if that is your primary complaint then whatever it is just $5. Coloradoans have it so good, and I hope one day the rest of the country will pull its head out of the sand. read more

Out of 600+ reviews this is the toughest one I've ever written as it's on a very controversial subject. But part of being a Yelp Elite member is sharing one's experiences both good, bad, and well this one's just way out there. I have a family member in Colorado who was delayed on getting her medical card. She needed serious pain relief and wasn't sure where to begin. She asked me for help and so we ended up using Colorado's recreational experiment as a way to take care of her needs until her medical card was approved. I started this process literally knowing nothing. Indica and Sativa? Concentrates? Edibles? What is this stuff? I was literally clueless. But after doing my research I learned a lot...and so the next morning off we went to Edgewater and to Northern Lights. There are a lot of dispensaries in Denver alone to choose from. Northern Lights has a good website and a mobile app that has helpful information and those tools helped narrow down which dispensary to choose. Northern Lights is also located on Sheridan Ave, across from Sloans Lake Park which meant she would be able to get to it easily if she took the RTD. If you drive there know that parking is tight. It's Edgewater so parking can be scarce on a good day. When you walk in you'll step up to the counter and they will ask how they can help you and if you are there for medical or recreational. Medical patients get priority so this is a screening question. You will be asked to hand over your ID, they will scan it, record your info and make you sign in. And you will be on camera at all times. If they are busy you may have to wait in the front lobby but otherwise they will buzz you in to the main wait area. You will have your ID checked again, then you get a card with a name and picture of a strain or product on it. When they are ready to take you back to the bud room they call you by the name on the card to protect your privacy. When you look around the waiting room there's lots of stuff to read, and lots of info on the walls to look at. You'll be sitting with a mix of people from guys in suits to college girls to older couples to even some international customers. When the staff is ready you will be taken back to the bud room and are introduced to a budtender who will answer all of your questions. As you're walking back there you'll see the certificates from Oaksterdam University on the walls. These certificates show that the staff has been trained and knows their stuff. While the bud room is small you'll appreciate the budtender being there to guide you through making a selection from a very extensive range of products. Edibles, concentrates, dry herbs, they have all sorts of choices. When it's time to pay for your products you will be on camera. You will show your ID again. The budtender makes sure every aspect of the transaction is recorded. This is done to protect all parties involved. If you don't have enough cash they have an ATM just outside the storeroom but they do not accept plastic of any kind. For my purchase my products were placed in a Secure "Stinksack". It's a special white plastic bag with lockable slidelocks on top that meets Colorado's child safety requirements. At that point you are ready to go and when you step outside you'll stop and think wow, that was amazing! But the best part of this is after the sale when you see someone no longer suffering. When you see someone find relief and go from being almost bed ridden to being able to shower, clean their house, and even go to the store on their own again. I can't vouch for their products on a personal level as this is not my thing, but if their products provide someone with an improved quality of life that is what matters most. read more
