Coffee was terrible. Extremely disappointed based on the look of the place and the other reviews here. Cold brew plain, straight from the tap, without any ice or milk to dilute it. And it is the flavor and color of old weak tea! This appears to be a locally owned business in a tiny rural town, which is the kind of place I regularly frequent and love to support. But this experience was a complete and total disappointment. Even the young person behind the counter managed to be rude and unhelpful. My wife and I stopped in here for the second time in three days; coffee, mocha, cinnamon rolls, and an apple fritter. The pastries are fresh baked on site and were delicious. The coffee beans are roasted on site; the coffee and mochas were outstanding, and consistent over the visits. I especially appreciate their decaf coffee, which is so hard to do right, but which tastes amazing every time--nice, full-bodied flavor and not weak or burnt! Friends who live in Ronan recommended this place for great coffee. I'll have to let you know that this is true coffee. This place is lucky to be in town especially for out of towners who need that coffee kick in the morning. I ordered the iced coffee and was astounded by how flavorful it was. Iced coffee can be difficult to make as most people tend to water it down due to the ice. With a real espresso machine and a knowledgable barista, the coffee was rich and strong. They also had some good pastries including a cinnamon sugar cream cheese roll. I don't think I've had great iced-coffee like this one. I hardly give out 5 stars but because I was very impressed with the coffee and the low key, comfortable atmosphere, and the great barista, it just needed the 5 stars. read more

I am reading all the reviews and all the stuff the shop has to offer but I wouldn't have known much by going into the shop because my wife and I could barely get any acknowledgement by the people that worked there let alone to tell us what they have to offer. Service was very cold and unfriendly, nobody could answer our questions about the coffee they roast there, who would have known they brew kombucha or that they have pastries? We had been trying to make it over there since we got in the area and my wife was very excited to try the coffee but we were very disappointed, I'm not even really excited to try the coffee beans we bought anymore. Businesses should be knowledgeable about what they sell and friendly if they want repeat customers. read more

Living one town up the road I for sure stop in every time I am in their town or have an extra 30 min and the urge to drive down for the best coffee in the area. I purchase their grinds for my use at home as well. Recently moving into a larger store with more seating and set up in a very relaxed manner, fireplace and all, the quality of their coffee remains top notch. Easy service, friendly and unobtrusive people let you enjoy your choice of blend or beverage as it should be. Food offered is tasty as well. A certified coffee snob who cut his teeth in the hipster coffee revolution of Chattanooga, Tennessee, I wasn't expecting much from this little roaster built across from my auntie's now-demolished home on Ronan's main street. Dobson Creek is a coffee snob's fantasy not just because it can dish out a delicious cappuccino or roast top-quality beans. Now accustomed to a great cup of coffee, we're growing tired of the aging brands that dominate artisan coffee -Counter Culture, Intelligentsia, Stumptown, etc. We dream of the passionate artisan that hones his/her craft outside of a large city like Seattle or LA. The owners of Dobson Creek spend their time small-batch roasting these beans to perfection because they love and are dedicated to their product. They've recently moved off of main street and upgraded their digs to an former antique shack-style locale just off of highway 93. The building is the definition of Montana from the old wood that lays bare both in and outside to the beautiful hand-crafted metal chandelier that hangs above the fireplace. I could not be more proud to say that this coffee shop is in my hometown. I wish them the very best and all the success in the world. read more

My wife and I love this place! It is right on the highway and connected with Stella's which is another favorite of ours. The decor and atmosphere on the whole is very pleasant and relaxed.
