They called me for an appointment reminder a few days in advance, which I found super helpful and a nice personal touch. I actually called with a few questions prior to my appointment, and Kirsten had spectacular answers to every one of my concerns. From start to finish, my appointment was exceptional. Carissa is perfect for the front desk, and makes you feel like family as soon as you walk in. Sabrina the tech is knowledgeable and explained what to expect. They did some scans of my eyes and dilated them, and then I saw Dr. Cassol, who I immediately felt comfortable with. After his recommendation, I met with Dana, who helped schedule my surgery! I was able to get on the books within 2 weeks, and I felt super educated and at ease with the next steps. They gave me a folder with all the info I could need :) Surgery was a piece of cake! Dr. Cassol (& staff) are one of a kind, and make a seemingly scary experience a fun one. My husband AND sister actually had Lasik as well because of how easy the process was. At my (exact age to not be revealed), they said it's a good idea to have them checked for cataracts. Once contact it was only a couple of weeks before my appointment. Being one that likes early appointments, I selected 8am and arrived about 7:45 and I was lucky that they let me in (it was, like, seriously cold outside). After a bit of paperwork I was taken into an intake room of sorts where of the staff members (Caitlin?) took some information and dilated my eyes. Having your eyes dilated is not a pleasant thing, but I knew it was going to happen. Drops in the eyes and about 10 minutes later I was seeing colours I'd never seen before....and then they start shining REALLY BRIGHT light into your eyes. It is, at once, the most brilliant light you've ever seen as well as the some of the most painful. (it made sense in my mind). After they're done visually torturing your eyes you're taken to a very nice little waiting area before you see Dr. Cassol. The waiting area has some comfortable chairs, a coffee maker, and a small refrigerator with small bottles of water. It's also nicely decorate and not over-done. There's a television, as well. I didn't wait very long (maybe 10 minutes) before I was taken back to see the good doctor. Dr. Cassol reviewed the results of the tests that the previous eye-torturers did and asked a few questions. He took the time to understand why I was there and looked into my eyes again. After a brief exam he said that everything look well and that my eyes tested at 20/15 (better than I had anticipated) and said he'd see me back in two years. For an 8:00 a.m. appointment, this went very well and I was out the door before 9:00 a.m. I wish all my appointments went so smoothly! All of the staff were friendly and professional, Dr Cassol's expertise showed through, and the facility is very laid back and relaxed. My first visit to Cassol Eye was a great experience. Went in for a contacts Rx and left with a glasses Rx being told that I would HAVE to come back for…read morea contact "fitting" (which is $65) before being able to obtain a contacts Rx because it's apparently required by the FDA. So now I have to wait for them to order the 2 contacts they want to "fit" me for, drive back to the office, get them, and then let them know which ones I want so they can order them...??? No. I want to leave the office with my contacts Rx and be able to go get contacts whenever I want. So just keep in mind that this fitting is $65 and not optional before going in. I will not be going back. I'll stick with the bigger companies who give me contacts and my contacts Rx before I leave.

Another staff member called and assured me that she would take care of me and my order. I went in and she was very kind and did not argue with me about what glasses and how I wanted them. However, I went in 2 weeks (14 days) later to pick up my glasses to find out that the 1st lady is the one who places the order and she held my order for 3 days therefor, delaying my order. I would follow the doctor if he went to another location, but I would not return to that location as long as they keep the lady that delayed my order. My glasses are fine and the doctor even put prism in them for my Myasthenia Gravis, but with my health problems I don't have the energy to argue with someone who is supposed to be helping me. I'm glad that I got the ones I originally wanted, the way I wanted them and did not listen to the bossy, grumpy, older lady.

Even my follow up appointments are easy to schedule. Dr. Harvey is an excellent doctor who is very friendly and easy going. Unlike other places, I didn't feel rushed during the exam. Dr. Harvey spends time to get to know you and you can tell he cares for all of his patients. I've been dealing with my contacts not always being as clear as they should be. I had always mentioned this to past optometrists and the typical response is to put me in another brand of contact lenses which usually irritate my eyes even more and we end up back at my original brand or expensive dailies. Dr. Harvey is the first person to recommend hard contact, RGP, lenses as an option for me. I didn't even know they existed. I've been wearing them for a few weeks now and LOVE them! My vision is crystal clear all day long, better than if I were wearing my glasses. I'm told only people with astigmatism will understand what I'm talking about. In summary, I couldn't be happier with everyone over at Harvey Eye. I will recommending this place to everyone I know!

And though the folks working there were friendly, it was not the happy to see you sort of greeting and service you expect from a great place. And it took a really long time after getting my glasses for my eyes to adjust to the new prescription.
