I've been to Dr. Schwartz once and will make an appointment for my second visit in a week or two. I…read morewas very pleased with the service he provided. He is located on the Costco premises, which is very convenient. I'm a huge Costco fan; therefore, I have much ease and confidence in the optometrist they allow to work on their premises. And...as expected, Dr. Schwartz was wonderful, including his assistant. They were a bit busy when I arrived to only make an appointment (after shopping at Costco, of course). Without hesitation Dr. Schwartz jumped right in to assist his assistant with helping the customers. It seems most people were making appointments or needed a printout of some sort. I really like seeing teamwork in an effort to make sure customers are provided the best possible service with the least amount of time of having to wait. On my appointment day I was greeted with a smile and warm welcoming. Dr. Schwartz made me feel comfortable in that he was very personable, professional, thorough, and approachable in answering all my questions with much patience and thoroughness. It's also convenient that you can select your new frames (I think Bardstown Rd selection is better than Norton Healthcare Bv) in the optical department at a great, super price. And, if you don't have your eye prescription with you the optical department can look it up - awesome! After filling frames with new prescription and you're not completely satisfied (I.e., not seeing very well w/ new prescription), Costco will re-do the prescription (with second trip to optometrist to re-do exam) if all this transpires within 90 days of the 1st prescription being filled. Make an appointment with Dr. Schwartz. He is good!

Falls City Eye Care - My twin teenage girls have been seeing Dr Martorana since they were toddlers! We love that it is a family owned small business.

I already had a high opinion of Falls City Eye Care, and this was further reinforced when I…read morerecently visited with my son for his kindergarten eye screening. Despite being an optometrist and eyeglasses store for primarily adults, they were very gentle and kind with my son. Dr. Martorana explained what he was doing along the way. The only part my son did not like was getting his eyes dilated, as you pretty much can imagine. But they were patient with him and helped him through it. And after we were done, they showed him the toy drawer, where he was able to pick out a few items to take home. (The highlight of the day for my son.) I scheduled my annual visit to be right after my son's, and they were helpful to give me the care I needed while also being efficient with the visit, considering I had my son in tow. Falls City Eye Care has a curated selection of eyeglasses, in which I saw several I would like. I'll definitely keep coming back!

They are incredible and make the experience easy and exactly what we needed. I got an eye exam with an updated script. My wife did the same and also used their shop space to pick out some new frames which she loves. The building is so charming and cute too. Great spot!

Customer service, empathy or concern for actually following their own established policies seems to be selective. At the very minimum the staff is rude and biased. At the horrendously worst they are racially judgmental. Speaking very calm I was told that I was getting loud and angry. Immediately I was told that no longer discussion was warranted and that I needed to talk to the office manager due to my "heated and loud" demeanor. I deal in conflict management daily at my job and even informed the clerk that I was displeased at the situation, but that a disagreeing perspective does not equate to loud or even angry in tone. I have had mixed experiences with the staff during my 15 plus years of treatment, but have never been treated like this. There generally has been a feeling of greater than thou or elitism instead of an everyone is welcome attitude. I at first equated that to having government insurance. I now have exceptional corporate insurance and treatment was not any different. I would have left and went elsewhere a long time ago if not for the care I received from my doctor. Dr. Woodruff has always been incredibly kind and caring. However, I will not be stereotyped. I am the very last to bring classism, race or any other type of prejudiced accusations into a situation unjustly but today's experience was putrid. To the office's credit, I could have been seen and dealt with the attitudes if I myself had been to my appointment exactly on time or early. That is on me. I fully take that responsibility. Oh well. I may make a BBB complaint as well but there are plenty other eyecare facilities. My treatment will have to be postponed for another month or so and I am thankful it wasn't excessively, medically urgent. Except for possibly picking up my records; I will NOT be back her again. Sad.
