I keep calling but the billing lady is always out of office or the office is closed/on lunch? My appointment in itself was an absolute tragedy. I've been going to the eye doctor for over 15 years so I have a pretty good idea of how an appointment should run. I first go to do the basic eye testing (little house on prairie machine...pics of the eyes etc.) the doctors assistant running my tests had no idea what she was doing. She didn't tell me to take my contacts out and when I said something she just handed me a contact case and some empty contact solution bottle. No sink, no form of sanitation, no mirror, NOTHING. When I saw actual optometrist everything was fine...but the check out process was a NIGHTMARE. No one in the office knew how to run insurance, they forgot my credit card in the back room twice, they did t know how to give me a receipt, and this entire process took over an hour! I paid for my contacts but have yet to receive anything and it's been over a MONTH. The lady that does the billing is never in the office because everytime I've tried to call to check on the status of my contacts she's never there!! And she never calls me back! I just want my contacts. I hope they see this and finally get back to me. Last time I called was today at 1:30 and the voicemail box said they were "on lunch"??? Ridiculous.

Dr. Gossman did surgery on my eye in Nov. 23 and again Jan. 25. I had cancer in my eye. My…read moredermatologist Dr. Brown removed the cancer and I was then sent to Dr. Gossman's office to repair the eye. Before the surgery I was informed what to expect. His staff was wonderful and very patient. I called the office several times before and after surgery and they always had time to reassure me. I lived about two hours away and was unable to drive myself. We did follow up care by Facebook. My eye looks fine and cancer is removed from eye.

I did not want to admit it, but I actually thought my eyes were getting worse. I was trading different glasses from a drawer in my house going back for years every day trying to figure out which ones I could see out of... yes I was like old Fred Sanford with a drawer full of glasses trying to get by. I knew Dr. Morshedi, my optometrist, owed me a refraction from a comprehensive exam a while back from a sinus/eye infection that he treated. So I went to him today and we did the refraction to see just what was going on. I knew that something was better because my vision up close had gotten to the point where I could see better without my glasses than with them. He scanned my eyes with his new star-trek optometry machine and then I started to look at different things and see what choices made me see better. After about ten minutes he said, I don't think new glasses are the answer, which puzzled me... my stomach turned as I thought that meant surgery. Turns out that the answer may be contact lenses. There are new multi-focal contact lenses that have a focal range... for distance, intermediate and up close. They are kind of weird looking out of the eye but once I put them in things just looked so much brighter. At first it almost made me dizzy as when I looked at my phone and looked up everything was clear... something I struggled with was looking between one thing and the other. Turns out that the multi-focal are new technology and the next big thing... he said that people who need tri-focals can wear these lenses with no problem because vision is corrected within a range and not a dead set value. In fact looking at my computer screen everything now looks rediculously big on my huge 32 inch monitor that I struggled with just hours ago. I hope that I will be able to tolerate the contact lenses... I was told five years ago that contact lenses were off the table for me due to my prescription... but things change... this is new technology and you don't know how happy I am with this. And the best thing is he said the costs for the lenses is $200 per year which is much cheaper than multi-focal progressive glasses with high index lenses. Color me happy!

My husband finally decided to get his cataracts taken care of and we asked numerous people who they…read morewould recommend. The name Frank Burns kept coming up so we decided to visit him. He has now fixed one of my husband's cataracts and the other eye will be fixed in a few days. First, it is apparent that Dr. Burns is quite knowledgeable and has his patient's best interest at heart. The office staff are all very friendly and very efficient, which they have to be for the way patients are rotated through, it is really quite amazing. At any given time there are 8-9 patients in the back, some in a second waiting room where one waits after being seen by assistants and before seeing the doctor. Time with the physician is brief, with most of your visit being with an assistant. I must say that Dr. Burns and his staff were very kind and accommodating when on the eve and morning of my husband's surgery I had some frightening (and potentially dangerous) eye issues. Dr. Burns told me to call his office immediately after my husband's surgery and tell them to get me in the next day. I was not even a patient of his at that time! Despite the very long time a visit takes (was an hour and a half yesterday for hubby's second follow up appointment), I would still recommend him. I have made an appointment for a vision and eye exam for myself; should my opinion change after that, I will update my review.
